Abstract

This study examines the effect of financial performance measured through accounting profit and total asset turnover and corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure on the return of shares of energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2023. Company size and leverage are included as control variables to obtain a more accurate estimate. Using 288 company year observations and applying quantum regression, the study provides a broader understanding of how explanatory variables behave at different levels of stock returns, especially in sectors known for their high capital intensity and exposure to commodity price fluctuations. These findings reveal that accounting earnings consistently have a positive and significant effect on stock returns at the 0.50 and 0.75 quantities, suggesting that profitability serves as a strong signal for investors, especially in companies with medium to high performance. In contrast, total asset turnover and CSR disclosures did not show significant effects across all quantiles, suggesting that operational efficiency and sustainability reporting are not key considerations for investors in the sector. The size of the company and leverage also did not show a significant influence, although their inclusion improved the quality of the model. Overall, the study highlights that investors in the energy sector respond to profitability indicators more strongly than information related to operations or sustainability.

Data were collected using a questionnaire. The analysis technique applied is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPls software. The results of the analysis show that Internal Control is acceptable, which means that the factor has a significant effect on the financial performance of MSMEs. On the other hand, marketing strategy has a positive role but does not have a significant effect, and product innovation does not show a positive and insignificant role. Therefore, MSMEs are advised to stabilize internal control, improve digital marketing strategies, and develop product innovation. Further research is needed to explore other factors that affect the financial performance of MSMEs.

Abstract

Purpose. The agricultural industry significantly contributes to poverty alleviation, particularly in rural regions as opposed to metropolitan ones. Hence, government programs should be able to target the areas afflicted by poverty effectively. Rural regions serve as the hub of commercial operations and play a crucial role in safeguarding and empowering farmers, particularly those who are small-scale. Methodology / approach. This research aims to analyze the access to assistance and agricultural estimates by examining farmers' prescriptions using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. Results. The objective is to determine if there is an impact on the growth in farm family welfare in the City of Palopo based on data from 105 farmers. This study utilises a descriptive and explanatory methodology, including quantitative techniques and inferential statistical analysis via Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) utilising Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicated that (X1) assistance had a very significant positive impact of 98.26% on the well-being of (Y) farmers' families. However, (X2) did not have a significant beneficial influence on (Y). Originality / scientific novelty. It was found that the access of farmer group households to agricultural assistance and the sustainable use of budgets and their very effective distribution in general can be said to greatly improve the welfare of farmer group households. This research is topically broader in scope making it very specific based on the scope of sources in Palopo, Indonesia. As far as is known, these results have not been previously reported. Practical value / implications. Abstract

The role of the state/government is particularly important in determining various economic policies, especially those closely related to efforts to develop cooperatives. Economic policies issued by the government, whether directly or indirectly, should have an impact on the development of cooperatives. The issue addressed in this paper is how the state can enhance the competitiveness of cooperatives among other business entities. What challenges does the government face in enabling cooperatives to compete with other business entities. This study uses normative legal research with a descriptive analytical nature, while the data collection technique is through literature study or document study. However, field data is also used to support and supplement library data. After the data is collected, it is analyzed using qualitative legal methods. In relation to the role of the state/government in empowering cooperatives, the evaluation of cooperative performance shows that, so far, excessive support or involvement from the government has not been able to improve the independence and performance of cooperatives. In this case, it has actually created a strong dependence of cooperatives on government programs. To avoid dependence on the government, it is now time for cooperatives to have clear and transparent regulations, and if necessary, to redefine the government's role in the empowerment and development of cooperatives, with a clear statement that cooperatives are essentially autonomous institutions. The results of this evaluation are then used as a guide in determining the boundaries or regulatory framework regarding the government's role itself, ultimately leading to an ideal pattern of relationships or interactions that benefit the development of cooperatives

Abstract

River water pollution in Jakarta is a national and international concern that requires serious attention. Therefore, environmental information, including ecological vulnerability maps, environmental status, and other relevant data, is crucial for effective environmental management. A regional environmental analysis and policy evaluation in 2024, using the DPSIR method, identified the environmental impact of river water conditions in real-time through water status measurements and aquatic ecological indicators. From the periodic analysis of Main Pollutant Parameters (MPP) during 2018-2024, eight parameters, such as fecal coliform, total coliform, free chlorine (Cl2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), BOD, phenol, and ammonia (NH3), were classified as river MPPs. Specifically, fecal coliform, total coliform, and ammonia (NH3) have consistently been river MPPs in Jakarta during the 2018-2024 monitoring period, requiring primary attention due to their high and continuous pollution levels.
