Abstract

This study examines the management of internalizing Islamic educational values in Buya Hamka’s novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijck and its relevance as a literary-based learning source for Islamic Religious Education. Using a qualitative content analysis approach through close reading, this research maps the organization and implementation of value internalization encompassing aqidah, morality, muamalah, and Islamic social ethics reflected in the narrative. The findings reveal that the novel provides structured moral experiences that can be managed pedagogically to strengthen students’ religious character. Through literary literacy, teachers can optimize the novel as a medium for value internalization by guiding students in interpreting texts, engaging in reflective reading, and connecting narrative experiences with Islamic teachings. This research highlights that Islamic literature is a strategic instrument for managing value-based learning, enabling PAI to be more contextual, humanistic, and relevant to modern educational needs. Penelitian ini mengkaji manajemen internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam novel Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijck karya Buya Hamka serta relevansinya sebagai sumber pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis literasi sastra. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis isi melalui pembacaan mendalam, penelitian ini memetakan pengelolaan internalisasi nilai yang meliputi nilai akidah, akhlak, muamalah, dan etika sosial keagamaan sebagaimana tercermin dalam alur dan karakter tokoh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel tersebut menyediakan pengalaman moral terstruktur yang dapat dikelola secara pedagogis untuk memperkuat pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik. Melalui literasi sastra, guru dapat mengoptimalkan proses internalisasi nilai dengan strategi interpretasi teks, pembacaan reflektif, serta pengaitan pesan naratif dengan ajaran Islam. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa karya sastra Islami merupakan instrumen strategis dalam manajemen pembelajaran berbasis nilai, sehingga pembelajaran PAI menjadi lebih kontekstual, humanis, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pendidikan modern.

Abstract

This study analyzes the management of integrating Kitab Kuning into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching materials through the optimization of the Sorogan and Bandongan methods in contemporary madrasas. The relevance of this study lies in the need for a systematic management model that bridges traditional pesantren pedagogies with modern curriculum demands. Using qualitative library research, this article examines the structural characteristics of Kitab Kuning and formulates a management framework for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating its integration within PAI learning. The findings show that Kitab Kuning remains a strategic source for strengthening students’ spiritual and conceptual understanding, yet its implementation requires structured management to adapt Sorogan into individualized assessment mechanisms and Bandongan into collective digital or classroom-based instruction. The proposed integration model supports curriculum enrichment, improves learning quality, and enhances teacher roles as knowledge transmitters. This study concludes that effective integration management strengthens both instructional depth and institutional identity in madrasas. Penelitian ini menganalisis manajemen integrasi Kitab Kuning ke dalam bahan ajar PAI melalui optimalisasi metode Sorogan dan Bandongan di madrasah kontemporer. Relevansi kajian ini terletak pada kebutuhan model pengelolaan yang mampu menjembatani pedagogi pesantren dengan tuntutan kurikulum modern. Melalui penelitian kepustakaan kualitatif, studi ini mengkaji karakteristik struktural Kitab Kuning serta merumuskan kerangka manajemen yang meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi integrasinya dalam pembelajaran PAI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kitab Kuning tetap strategis dalam memperkuat kedalaman spiritual dan konseptual peserta didik, namun implementasinya membutuhkan pengelolaan yang terstruktur. Sorogan dapat diadaptasi menjadi mekanisme asesmen individual, sedangkan Bandongan dapat diimplementasikan melalui pembelajaran kolektif berbasis kelas maupun digital. Model integrasi ini mendukung pengayaan kurikulum, meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, dan memperkuat peran guru sebagai penjaga otoritas keilmuan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen integrasi yang tepat akan memperkuat identitas keilmuan sekaligus efektivitas pembelajaran di madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze peer tutoring as a management strategy for Qur’an learning in improving students’ Qur’anic reading competence through a library research approach. The analysis focuses on how peer tutoring is planned, organized, implemented, and supervised within the learning management system of schools or madrasahs. A review of relevant literature indicates that peer tutoring, when systematically managed through tutor selection, basic training, structured learning schedules, and teacher supervision, effectively enhances students’ mastery of hijaiyah letters, accuracy of makhraj, and reading fluency. In addition to technical skills, the strategy positively influences affective aspects such as learning motivation, confidence, and active participation. From a management perspective, peer tutoring optimizes limited instructional time, distributes learning responsibilities, and strengthens collaborative learning culture. The findings suggest that peer tutoring is not merely a pedagogical technique, but a practical and efficient learning management strategy that supports the effectiveness and sustainability of Qur’an education, particularly in institutions facing large class sizes and limited teacher availability. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen pembelajaran Al-Qur’an berbasis tutor sebaya dalam meningkatkan kompetensi baca Al-Qur’an melalui pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan. Kajian ini menitikberatkan pada aspek perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan tutor sebaya sebagai bagian dari sistem pengelolaan pembelajaran di sekolah atau madrasah. Hasil telaah literatur menunjukkan bahwa tutor sebaya yang dikelola secara sistematis—melalui seleksi tutor, pembinaan dasar, penjadwalan kegiatan, serta supervisi guru—berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan huruf hijaiyah, ketepatan makhraj, dan kelancaran membaca siswa. Selain aspek teknis, strategi ini juga berdampak positif pada motivasi, rasa percaya diri, dan keterlibatan aktif siswa. Dari perspektif manajemen pendidikan Islam, tutor sebaya menjadi solusi efektif untuk mengoptimalkan waktu guru, mengatasi keterbatasan sumber daya, dan membangun budaya belajar kolaboratif. Dengan demikian, tutor sebaya merupakan strategi manajerial yang relevan dan berkelanjutan dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the gap between the ideal objectives of Islamic education in fostering noble character and the reality of students’ moral behavior in schools. Pre-lesson spiritual habituation is viewed as a strategic program that requires proper management to ensure its effectiveness and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the management of pre-learning spiritual routines in strengthening students’ noble character, focusing on the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating. This research employs a library research approach by examining books, scholarly articles, and relevant studies, which are analyzed qualitatively. The findings indicate that well-managed spiritual habituation programs contribute to the development of students’ discipline, honesty, responsibility, politeness, emotional intelligence, and social piety. Furthermore, systematic management of spiritual routines supports the establishment of a religious school culture as part of the hidden curriculum. Therefore, the management of pre-lesson spiritual habituation plays a strategic role in strengthening students’ noble character within the framework of Islamic educational management. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesenjangan antara tujuan ideal pendidikan Islam dalam membentuk akhlakul karimah dengan realitas perilaku siswa di sekolah. Pembiasaan santapan rohani sebelum pembelajaran dipandang sebagai program strategis yang memerlukan pengelolaan manajerial agar berjalan efektif dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis manajemen pembiasaan santapan rohani sebelum pembelajaran dalam penguatan akhlakul karimah siswa, ditinjau dari fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, pengawasan, dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan mengkaji buku, artikel ilmiah, dan hasil penelitian relevan yang dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan santapan rohani yang terencana, terstruktur, dan diawasi secara sistematis berkontribusi pada penguatan kedisiplinan, kejujuran, tanggung jawab, sopan santun, kecerdasan emosional, serta kesalehan sosial siswa. Selain itu, manajemen pembiasaan ini berperan dalam membangun budaya religius sekolah sebagai bagian dari kurikulum tersembunyi. Dengan demikian, santapan rohani yang dikelola secara manajerial menjadi instrumen strategis dalam penguatan akhlakul karimah siswa di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of character education based on salafiyah pesantren traditions in fostering students’ religiosity and entrepreneurial spirit through a comparative approach. The research was conducted at Pesantren Miftahul Huda Al-Musri’ in Cianjur and Pesantren Mardhotillah in Bandung, two Islamic boarding schools that represent different orientations within the salafiyah tradition. A qualitative descriptive design was employed, using data triangulation techniques consisting of in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed through the interactive model of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of character education practices. The findings reveal that character education in salafiyah pesantren is implemented through structured managerial processes that integrate religious learning, habituation, exemplary leadership, and entrepreneurship programs. Both pesantren demonstrate that religiosity and entrepreneurship are complementary dimensions of Islamic character education. Pesantren Miftahul Huda emphasizes the preservation of classical traditions and spiritual discipline, while Pesantren Mardhotillah focuses on innovation by integrating entrepreneurship into the educational system. This comparative result indicates the flexibility of salafiyah traditions in responding to contemporary challenges without losing their Islamic identity. The study concludes that salafiyah pesantren traditions function as effective instruments of character education management capable of producing graduates who are religious, morally responsible, and economically independent. The novelty of this research lies in its formulation of an integrative model of character education management that connects religiosity and entrepreneurship within the framework of Islamic education management. Practically, the findings provide a reference for developing pesantren curricula that harmonize spiritual values with economic empowerment, contributing to the sustainability and relevance of pesantren education in the modern era.
