Abstract

This study aims to uncover waste management activities and environmental costs of environmental cost reporting at the Islamic Hospital of Banjarmasin. This researcher uses a qualitative paradigm with a case study design. The research scope is the Unit of Environmental Health Sanitation with the accounting process of environmental management, hospital waste management's data focus, and expenditures for waste costs. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations; secondary data, through documentation. The results revealed that environmental management accounting systems in 2019 and 2020 found hidden environmental costs from waste management cost reports in the Financial Statements. For example, the environmental cost report applied to the SKL Unit revealed Rp 677.646.500 and Rp 459.521.600 not presented as an environmental cost in 2019 and 2020. The implementation of environmental cost accounting through environmental cost reporting at the Islamic Hospital of Banjarmasin revealed that special reports in environmental management accounting could be used as information by the management of the Islamic Hospital of Banjarmasin in planning and controlling environmental responsibility activities. The study results also revealed that the environmental cost report facilitated the direction of the Islamic Hospital of Banjarmasin in making decisions related to environmental costs and provided information for stakeholders that hospitals have been responsible for maintaining environmental health.

Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution, also known as Industry 4.0 is marked by rapid technological advancements that have significantly impacted various economic sectors, including the financial industry. This paper analyze how financial innovation is shaping the industry in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution. The study explores the concept of financial innovation and its role in driving the transformation of the financial sector, particularly in the face of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things. In this research, we utilized the Systematic Literature Review method to analyze over 100 articles from through platforms like Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, Taylor & Francis Online, Wiley Online Library, and Copernicus International Index. Which formed the basis of our study results. The findings suggest that financial innovation is a key enabler for the digitalization of financial services, leading to the development of new business models, products, and services. Moreover, the integration of financial innovation with Industry 4.0 technologies has the potential to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and inclusivity in the financial sector. While the integration of financial innovation with Industry 4.0 technologies may indeed bring about efficiency and accessibility in the financial sector, it is important to consider the potential drawbacks and risks associated with this trend. This research is beneficial for academics, policymakers, and financial industry professionals who seek to understand the implications of financial innovation in the context of the fourth industrial revolution.

Abstract

Employee performance is a key element in determining the success and competitiveness of a company in the global market. This research aims to identify and analyze the influence of work culture and the remuneration system on employee performance at PT. X in Cikarang, Indonesia. X in Cikarang, Indonesia. X in Cikarang, Indonesia. The research method used is a descriptive correlational design with a stratified random sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 51 employees. The data analysis technique employs multiple linear regression to evaluate the simultaneous influence of work culture and remuneration on employee performance. The study's results indicate that work culture significantly influences employee performance, with a beta coefficient of 0.443 and a significance of 0.000. Remuneration also influences employee performance with a beta coefficient of 0.324 and a significance of 0.003. The combination of work culture and remuneration explains 49.8% of the variability in employee performance, with an R Square value of 0.498 and an F value of 15.572 (p < 0.001). The conclusion of this study underscores the importance of synergy between a positive work culture and a fair remuneration system to enhance employee performance. The study's practical recommendations, including the development of work culture strategies that support collaboration and openness and a comprehensive review of the remuneration system to ensure competitive salary scales, benefits, and bonuses, will guide and empower the audience in their efforts to enhance employee performance. Further research is suggested to explore other variables, such as leadership, training, and career development, and to conduct longitudinal studies to understand performance changes over time. This emphasis on continuous learning and improvement will make the audience feel the importance of staying updated with the latest research in the field.

Abstract

This study rigorously investigates how implementing team-based reward systems affects workplace collaboration and innovation. By employing a robust case study approach and a synthesis analysis of articles published between 2018 and 2023, this research provides compelling evidence that team-based rewards are a potent incentive, motivating team members to collaborate and achieve desired outcomes. This approach also effectively mitigates internal competition, which can impede the flow of information and knowledge sharing. The findings underscore that reward structures centered on collaboration bolster innovation and cultivate a more inclusive and productive work culture. Integrating financial and non-financial rewards, transparent and structured recognition, and transparency in performance evaluations has elevated employee motivation, performance, and loyalty. The study further emphasizes tailoring rewards to individual employee values and goals to enhance job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, transparency in the performance evaluation and reward distribution processes is pivotal for augmenting productivity and fairness in the workplace. The recommendations advocate for integrating team-based reward strategies as a fundamental component of human resource management policies. This study's implications suggest comprehensive and equitable reward strategies can enhance individual, team, and organizational performance. This study's reliability in the human resource management literature lies in exploring reward strategies for fostering collaboration and innovation within organizations.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of investment knowledge and technological progress on investment decisions of generation Z students, with investment interest as an intervening variable. Generation Z is a group born in the digital era and has broad access to investment information through technology. Investment knowledge and technological advances are expected to influence students' interest in investing, which in turn has an impact on their investment decisions. The method used in this research is path analysis with a sample of students from the Makassar State University Management Study Program. The research results show that investment knowledge and technological advances have a significant effect on investment decisions. Investment interest is proven to mediate the relationship between investment knowledge and technological progress and investment decisions. This research highlights the importance of financial literacy and the use of technology in supporting more effective investment decision making among students.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of influencers on purchasing decisions for WB Glow products via live streaming on Facebook, with customer loyalty as an intervening variable. The approach used was quantitative, with a survey involving 100 adult female WB Glow users who had watched the live streaming. The analysis results show that influencers have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions, while increasing customer loyalty. Additionally, loyalty is proven to mediate the relationship between influencer influence and purchasing decisions. These findings emphasize the importance of marketing strategies that utilize influencers in the current digital era, as well as the importance of building customer loyalty to increase promotional effectiveness. This research provides new insights for marketers in designing more effective and relevant campaigns in the digital marketing era.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of human resource (HR) development strategies on organizational resilience in facing crises through student practice experiences. In an increasingly dynamic and challenging context, this research examines how student involvement in work practices can make a significant contribution to innovation, flexibility and talent development in organizations. Quantitative techniques were used to conduct this research. The non-probability sampling approach is the sampling methodology used in this research with a sample size of 100 respondents, namely FEB UNM Management students. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis is the data analysis method used. The results of this research prove that there is a positive direct influence between HR development strategies on organizational resilience, as well as indirect influences through work innovation variables and student practical experience.

Abstract

Penelitian komprehensif ini mengkaji peran penting inkubator bisnis dalam mendorong dan meningkatkan keberlanjutan startup teknologi di dalam ekosistem digital Indonesia yang berkembang pesat. Melalui analisis kualitatif ekstensif yang melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan 15 pendiri startup dan 10 manajer inkubator bisnis, ditambah dengan observasi langsung di lima inkubator bisnis terkemuka di berbagai kota besar Indonesia, studi ini mengungkapkan dampak multifaset dari program inkubasi terhadap tingkat keberhasilan startup. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa inkubator bisnis secara signifikan meningkatkan keberlanjutan startup melalui lima mekanisme utama: penyediaan infrastruktur, mentoring dan pelatihan, fasilitasi akses pendanaan, pengembangan jaringan bisnis, dan dukungan validasi pasar. Analisis statistik mengungkapkan tingkat kelangsungan hidup tiga tahun yang 30% lebih tinggi untuk startup yang diinkubasi dibandingkan dengan yang tidak diinkubasi. Namun, tantangan signifikan masih ada, terutama terkait distribusi sumber daya di luar pusat perkotaan utama dan standardisasi program inkubasi.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of marketing strategies on purchasing decisions among Management students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Makassar State University (FEB UNM), with a focus on brand perception as an intervening variable. The study employed a survey method using purposive sampling, involving 310 active students as respondents. Data were gathered via questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis. The findings indicated that marketing strategies significantly affect students' purchasing decisions, both directly and through brand perception. These results offer valuable insights for marketers in the education sector to place greater emphasis on brand perception to enhance the effectiveness of their marketing strategies.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how artificial intelligence and technology influence students' work interests by using intervening variables in the digital-based recruitment process. This research uses quantitative research with research data analysis which is multiple linear regression analysis with path analysis. With the aim of establishing whether a set of independent variables (exogenous) has a direct or indirect impact on the dependent variable, a path analysis model is used to evaluate the interaction pattern between variables (endogenous). The sampling method used in this research is non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling is a sample data collection technique that presents complete information data and uses certain considerations or criteria, namely 100 respondents. The results of this research prove that there is a positive direct influence between artificial intelligence and technology on students' work interest, as well as an indirect influence through digital-based recruitment process variables.
