Abstract

This article discusses the legal position of apprentices based on the Manpower Law as well as the obstacles and challenges faced in the implementation of legal protection. In writing this article, the author applies normative research methods, using analysis techniques on library sources such as books, journals, and sources from internet media, based on law as a norm. Labor has an important role in the development of the country, to overcome this the government has implemented various policies, one of which is the apprenticeship program. However, it is unfortunate that many apprentices do not understand their rights, this ignorance is often exploited by irresponsible companies to employ them unfairly. One of the main obstacles in the implementation of legal protection for apprentices in Indonesia is the lack of legal awareness that plagues both companies and apprentices themselves. Unclear regulations regarding legal protection for apprentices in Indonesia are one of the significant challenges in ensuring their rights are protected. Therefore, to improve legal protection for apprentices in Indonesia, a series of integrated and sustainable improvement efforts are needed.

Abstract

Law No. 6 of 2023 is a Legal Regulation that regulates the scope of Job Creation where the Law is a regulation of Law No. 11 of 2020. However, the existence of Law No. 6of 2023has been opposed by the public since the drafting process took place, the public considered that the legal regulation did not fully guarantee the rights that had been regulated, such as different provisions and implementation of working hours, poor treatment, unclear minimum wages; PKWT employment relationships are determined based on work agreements(workers can be laid off at any time because this is not regulated in the Job Creation Law, only based on work agreements) and the expansion of outsourcing practices for all types of work. This is a problematic reason and is considered non-participatory. The presence of this law has a significant impact on the employment system in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the implications of the existence of Law No. 6 of 2023 on laborers based on the employment system in Indonesia.

Abstract

As a manager, it is necessary to have curiosity and knowledge in determining a decision. Managers can integrate ontology as their framework to determine their marketing strategy. Managers analyze current market demand or trends or see “what” and “how” a situation occurs that can be developed into a strategy. The purpose of this scoping review is to map how marketing managers apply ontology in making their decisions. The article survey resulted in 5 articles that fit the research objectives. This research aims to determine the role of ontology in determining marketing management decisions. From the four articles, it was found that managers' decisions do not consider emotions but rational data and managers must have a marketing strategy that is in accordance with the achievement of organizational goals. This research can be used by marketing managers to consider creating a framework with an ontological foundation to decide marketing strategies in their organizations and further research references related to ontology in management decisions, especially marketing management.

Abstract

Every investment has consequences, so choosing wisely is crucial as it will impact the future. Greater accessibility to financial services and products for the general public may not always yield positive results, especially for younger generations who lack good financial management skills. The aim of this study is to examine how financial behavior and financial literacy influence the investment choices made by KIP recipient students at Universitas Negeri Makassar from the 2022 cohort. Using a quantitative technique, 100 respondents were given questionnaires as part of the research methodology. Multiple regression analysis and validity tests were employed in the data analysis, which was conducted using SPSS software version 30.0.0. The results of the study indicate a substantial positive correlation between investing decisions and financial literacy, with higher levels of financial literacy being associated with better investment decisions. Furthermore, it was found that students' investment decisions are significantly influenced by their financial behavior

Abstract

This qualitative study explores employee perceptions of company welfare programs within Indonesia's financial sector, focusing on a private banking institution. Through in-depth interviews with 15 employees across various divisions, the research reveals that while health benefits and work flexibility are highly valued, significant disparities exist between policy design and practical implementation. Key challenges include bureaucratic access barriers, generational differences in benefit preferences, and inconsistent awareness of available programs. The findings emphasize that organizational culture, management support, and effective communication are pivotal in shaping employee experiences of welfare initiatives. The study contributes to human resource management literature by highlighting the need for more adaptive, employee-centric welfare strategies that address both structural and cultural dimensions of implementation. Practical implications suggest organizations must enhance program accessibility, tailor benefits to diverse workforce needs, and strengthen internal communication to maximize welfare program effectiveness.

Abstract

This phenomenological study explores the lived experience of work wellbeing among millennial employees within Jakarta’s dynamic technology startup ecosystem. Through in-depth interviews with ten participants across diverse roles and startup stages, the research reveals that well-being transcends traditional financial metrics, emerging instead as contextualized resonance, a state of thriving within the environment’s inherent chaos, speed, and uncertainty. Four interconnected dimensions define this resonance: (1) Meaningful Contribution (alignment with personal values and tangible impact), (2) Autonomy and Flexibility (trust in self-management, albeit challenged by blurred boundaries), (3) Authentic Interpersonal Relationships (psychological safety and communal support as buffers against stress), and (4) Space for Growth (continuous learning and non-linear development pathways). The findings underscore that millennials derive profound satisfaction from co-creating innovation but require deliberate organizational support to mitigate burnout risks. This study advocates for human-centered HR strategies transforming Jakarta’s startup dynamism from a wellbeing challenge into a catalyst for resilience, retention, and holistic fulfillment.

Abstract

This phenomenological study examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in Green Human Resource Management (HRM), focusing on the implementation of eco-friendly chatbots for sustainable recruitment processes in Makassar, Indonesia. Through in-depth interviews with HR professionals, recruiters, and candidates, the research explores how AI-driven recruitment tools contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing paper waste, optimizing energy use, and enhancing green employer branding. While findings confirm significant efficiency gains and ecological benefits, they also reveal critical challenges, including algorithmic bias, digital inequity, and the risk of depersonalizing candidate experiences. The study highlights the need for ethical AI design, contextual implementation frameworks, and holistic sustainability strategies to ensure that technological advancements in HRM align with both environmental and social equity goals. By bridging the gap between AI innovation and sustainable HR practices, this research offers practical insights for organizations navigating the complexities of digital transformation in emerging economies.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the multifaceted challenges of implementing blockchain technology within Human Resource Management (HRM) to enhance sustainability reporting transparency among Jakarta multinational corporations. As global and local pressure mounts for verifiable ethical practices, blockchain’s promise of immutable data integrity confronts complex socio-technical realities. Through in-depth interviews with 28 HR leaders, technology experts, and sustainability officers, the research identifies five interconnected barriers: (1) profound technical integration difficulties with legacy HR systems, (2) limited efficacy in verifying initial data authenticity across Jakarta’s complex supply chains, (3) tensions between regulatory agility in Indonesia’s evolving compliance landscape and blockchain’s inherent inflexibility, (4) deep-seated stakeholder resistance rooted in transparency anxieties and cultural reluctance, and (5) the sustainability-energy paradox where blockchain’s environmental footprint contradicts ESG goals. Findings reveal that while blockchain strengthens auditability, its successful adoption demands addressing Jakarta-specific infrastructural constraints, fostering cultures of trust, and prioritizing human oversight alongside technological solutions. The study advocates for strategic, context-sensitive approaches to blockchain deployment, positioning it as one tool within a broader ecosystem of ethical governance, not a standalone solution for HR-driven sustainability transparency.
