Abstract

This qualitative study investigates how the work environment influences employee stress levels and performance at a PVC ceiling distribution company in Gemolong. A comfortable and supportive workplace is considered essential in fostering employee productivity, while unmanaged stress can hinder work outcomes. The research adopts a case study approach, gathering data through in-depth interviews with five current employees, complemented by direct observation and document analysis. Results indicate that both the physical layout and social dynamics of the workplace significantly shape employees’ perceptions and behaviors. Positive environmental conditions—such as cleanliness, mutual support, and safety—help reduce stress and enhance work quality. In contrast, unclear roles, workplace noise, and poor communication were commonly associated with increased stress and decreased performance. The study recommends that the company pay attention to improving both tangible and intangible elements of the work environment to support employee well-being and maintain performance standards.

Abstract

This research discusses the protection of human rights (HAM) for religious minorities in Indonesia in the context of the establishment of places of worship. Indonesia, as a country with diverse ethnicities, cultures, and religions, guarantees freedom of religion through the 1945 Constitution and Pancasila. However, religious minority groups often face various challenges and discrimination in establishing places of worship, which has the potential to cause interfaith conflict and threaten the disintegration of the nation. This research uses normative legal research method or literature study to analyze related laws and regulations, especially the Joint Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs and the Minister of Home Affairs Number 8 and 9 of 2006 (PBM No. 8 & 9/2006) which regulates the establishment of houses of worship. Problems that often arise include licensing difficulties such as Building Construction Permit (IMB), rejection from the majority community, administrative manipulation, to acts of intolerance in the form of prohibition, forced closure, and even destruction of places of worship. This study aims to identify problems in law enforcement related to the human rights of minority groups in establishing places of worship and analyze the effectiveness and impact of existing regulations, such as PBM No. 8 & 9/2006, on efforts to fulfill these rights and maintain religious harmony in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study discusses the phenomenon of vigilantism or vigilante action that occurred in the case of mass judgment against motorcycle theft perpetrators in Perum Kota Batara, Tangerang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method to analyze the relationship between inequality in law enforcement, public distrust of legal institutions, and the social background of collective violence. The results of the study indicate that the emergence of vigilante action does not occur in a vacuum, but is triggered by public frustration with the legal system which is considered slow and unfair, especially towards the common people. In the context of urban society with high social inequality, people tend to create their own form of justice through direct violence. This phenomenon is a signal that the state has not been optimally present in ensuring a sense of security and justice for all its citizens. Therefore, responsive and educative legal reform is needed so that justice is not just a slogan, but is truly felt by society as a whole.

Abstract

This study examines the linguistic landscape in the Sanur tourist area, Bali, as a representation of social, cultural, and ideological dynamics in the context of tourism globalization. Sanur as a multilingual public space displays the diversity of language use on signs, banners, billboards, and shop facades that reflect the interaction between local and global languages. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, an analysis was conducted on visual documentation and the social context of text use in public spaces, and linked to regional language preservation policies, especially Bali Provincial Regulation Number 1 of 2018. The results of the study show the dominance of English as a symbol of global economic power and the main communication tool in the tourism sector, while Balinese is used more symbolically as a local cultural identity. Ideologically, the Sanur linguistic landscape shows the negotiation between cultural preservation and the commodification of local identity amidst global market pressures. This study emphasizes that public space is not just an arena for communication, but also a field of representation of power, resistance, and cultural capital.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical representation abilities of Grade XI students focusing on the topic of compound interest. Mathematical representation is one of the essential competencies in mathematics education, encompassing visual, verbal, and symbolic forms. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through essay-based tests and in-depth student interviews. The study population consisted of Grade XI students from SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung. The findings revealed that most students were unable to accurately represent the concept of compound interest. Common errors included inaccuracies in modeling compound interest growth and a tendency to apply arithmetic approaches instead of exponential ones. These findings indicate that students’ mathematical representation abilities—particularly in symbolic and verbal forms remain low. Therefore, strengthening instructional strategies that support the structured and meaningful development of mathematical representation skills is necessary.
