Abstract

Teachers are the main actors in implementing effective and meaningful learning for students. At UPTD SDN 34 Pakere, teachers have shown high dedication in carrying out their teaching duties but still face challenges in integrating physical activities into daily learning processes. Limited understanding of physical activity-based learning methods and lack of practical experience in implementing them are the main obstacles. This Community Service activity aims to improve teacher competence through on-the-job training (OJT) assistance in integrating physical activities into classroom learning. The implementation method uses a descriptiveparticipatory approach involving 12 teachers from UPTD SDN 34 Pakere. The activity was carried out through stages of socialization, practical workshops, implementation assistance in the classroom, and joint reflection. Data collection techniques were carried out qualitatively through direct observation, interviews, and activity documentation. The results showed that OJT assistance was able to increase teachers’ understanding of the importance of integrating physical activity in learning, improve practical skills in designing and implementing physical activitybased learning, and increase teachers’ confidence in innovating in the classroom. Teachers began to understand that physical activity is not only important for student health, but can also improve concentration, learning motivation, and student learning outcomes. The OJT approach that provides direct assistance in the field has proven effective in helping teachers overcome technical barriers and improve the implementation of more active and enjoyable learning. This activity shows that OJT assistance can be an applicable and sustainable teacher professional development strategy in elementary school environments.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to enhance safe and effective fundamental heading skills among FIKK UNM students, serving as a cornerstone for individual soccer proficiency. The program addresses the critical need for technical mastery to mitigate the risk of repetitive subconcussive head injuries by integrating biomechanical principles and neck muscle strengthening protocols. The training is delivered through a systematic progression, transitioning from sensory adaptation to structured and directed static and dynamic techniques. The anticipated outcomes include the attainment of superior technical competence and a comprehensive understanding of FIFA safety protocols (SCAT6/CRT6) as a benchmark for professional conduct on the field. Accurate worthless, easy to read, and concise, followed by up to 5 keywords, separated by semicolons.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide education on pickleball as an innovative approach to Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) for teachers in Tallo District, Makassar City. Pickleball is a relatively new sport in Indonesia and is characterized by simple, engaging gameplay that is easy to implement in a school setting. However, many PJOK teachers are still unfamiliar with the rules, basic techniques, and teaching models for this sport. Therefore, this activity was conducted as an effort to broaden teachers’ knowledge and enhance their competencies in delivering more varied and enjoyable P.E., Sports, and Health lessons for students. The activity’s implementation methods included material presentations, training on basic pickleball techniques, game demonstrations, and hands-on practice involving all participants on the court. The activity was attended by PE teachers in Tallo Subdistrict using a participatory approach, ensuring participants not only received theoretical knowledge but also gained direct practical experience. Evaluation was conducted through observation and discussion regarding participants’ understanding and skills throughout the activity. The results of the activity showed that the teachers responded positively to the education provided. Participants were able to understand the basics of pickleball, ranging from game rules, serving techniques, hitting techniques, to the application of simple learning models in schools. This activity increased teachers’ enthusiasm for developing more creative, active, and adaptive Physical Education and Health (PJOK) learning innovations in response to the evolution of modern sports. With this initiative, pickleball is expected to become an engaging and easily implementable alternative for PJOK instruction within school settings, thereby benefiting students.
