The aim of the Conference on Design Manufacture Engineering and Its Application (CDMA) is to provide a scientific platform for researchers, academics, and professionals to share and disseminate original research, innovative ideas, and practical developments in the fields of design engineering, manufacturing technology, and their multidisciplinary applications. CDMA welcomes the submission of theoretical and empirical papers that aim to advance knowledge, challenge conventional practices, and offer new insights into areas such as product design, manufacturing systems, industrial automation, materials engineering, and related domains. Abstract

One of the performance tests that must be carried out by the ship before launch is the progressive speed test. In doing the required speed test GPS-based devices. In previous research has been designed a software sea trial tracker that is able to process data from GPS devices quickly and efficiently. This study aims to create a device that can be used to support sea trial tracker software and make it easier for testers to perform a performance test with a portable and efficient device design which is then expected to be widely used in the ship performance test process. The device manufacturing process is carried out starting from the design stage of the design with the help of CAD software, component planning, and the assembly stage. The device testing method will be done directly at the sea trial stage and the test results will be compared with the results of hullspeed analysis using maxsurf software to determine the success of device function. Based on the results of the creation and testing of a modular performance package, this device is able to be used to support the sea trial tracker software as evidenced by the speed test on the sea trial. Modular package that is made using a battery with a capacity of 12V 3.5Ah which is able to supply the power needs of the device for 4-9 hours of use and is equipped with a battery charger that is able to charge the battery from empty to full within 25 minutes. Comparison between the results of a modular package test and the results of the maxsurfhullspeed software analysis shows the results that meet the 10% validation limit that has been determined, so that the modular package is capable of being used in a ship speed test.

Abstract

The manufacturing company located in Gresik is one of the companies that produce roll mill. Roll mill is a sugar plant equipment used for squeezing cane. In the calculation of cost of goods manufactured, the company does not include fixed overhead costs into the calculation of the cost of production. The calculation will be more accurate and detailed if the company uses job order costing method of full costing approach. The full costing approach calculates direct raw materials, direct labor, factory overhead costs, both variable and fixed. One example is PG.Pagotan orders where the results using JOC with full costing approach is Rp466.687.630,- for cost of goods manufactured, Rp93.337526,- for profit and Rp616.027.672,- for sale price. While the result set by the company is Rp438.625.790,- for the cost of goods manufactured, Rp87.725.158,- for profit and Rp578.986.000,- for the sale price. The result using JOC with full costing approach is greater than that of the firm of this difference due to differences in the way grouping and incremental costs are incorporated into cost of goods manufactured calculations using the full cost JOC method. Cost of goods manufactured calculated on the basis of the company is undercosting. The test results of 22 orders with the t test get the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.00 <0.05 so it shows a significant difference between the value of cost of goods manufactured, the profit and the selling price set by the company with the value using the JOC approach full method costing.

Abstract

Quality is one of the important things that consumers consider in choosing the productthey will use. The high level mismatch of gallon wall thickness that occurred as of December 2017 tomeet the specifications reached 80,87% at point A0; 0,007% at point A1; 91,6% at point A2; 2,39%at point A3; 98,4% at point A4; 92,03% at point C0; 10,35% at point C1; 36,65% at point C2;30,67% at point C3; and 96,81% at point C4. So quality must be maintained as an effort to attract theattentionof consumers and consumer interest in using gallons from this plastic packaging industry. Toanalyze the quality of gallons used the SPC approach and process capability analysis. After analyzingthe process production of gallon through the SPC approach using the I-MR control chart there arestill many points out of control at any point observation that isA0, A1, A2, A3, A4, C0, C1, C2, C3,and C4. Process capability analysis also shows that there is a process that is said to be improper (Cp<1,00) must be repaired even though the process is perfect and unable to meet the specified thicknessspecifications (Cpk <1,00) indicates the accuracy of the process is less which means it needs to bedone improvement by find the root cause of the problem.

Abstract

CNC JOBS LINX 30 COMPACT is used to produce many aircraft components in one company engaged in manufacturing in Indonesia. This machine works by giving a command signal (a program) to reduce the dimensions of the product vertically and horisontally according to the program. In order to satisfy aboaut demand, so be required machine operation condition which reliable. To determine whether the machine is reliable or not, it is necessary to identify the failure of the machine during the operation of the machine. Identification of failure is done by finding the root cause of failure using Root Cause Analysis method, and look for critical components of the machine using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) method.

Abstract

PT. Marufuji Kenzai Indonesia one of furniture manufacture company in east java which use elbow stapler machine to assist production process. This elbow stapler machine is used to unite the elbow portion of the fiberboard (hardboard) material. However, the elbow stapler machine used is only able to be used to unite one side only. This of course inhibits the production process considering the number of stapler engines is not proportional to the number of fiber board material (hardboard) that is done. The method used to overcome the problem of delay in the work of fiberboard material (hardboard) is to make a two-sided flexible wooden elbow stapler machine using electropneumatic system. The working system of this machine will use three pneumatic cylinders where two cylinders are used for the stapler and one large cylinder is used to push the stapled material. Making this machine will be through several stages such as design, detail drawing, framework analysis, simulation, electropneumatic system design, to the assembly stage (assembly). Making the flexible wooden elbow stapler machine is expected to be able to overcome the problems that often occur in the process stapler material that has been produced. So that the work is usually done by one operator can be helped by the performance of this flexible wooden elbow stapler machine. So no more stacking of material in the stapler that resulted in disruption of some further process.

Abstract

One of the company that growing is company that focus in fabrication and construction. Inthese company consist of some division, one of division is production division. At this time thecompany is producing skid winch system. In determining the calculation of cost of good sold of thecompany experiencing mismatch budget plan costs and cause the company does not get the maximumprofit. In determining of the cost of good sold based on the right and accurate order appropriate tothe working system in the company is job order costing method. The method can calculate allclassification cost, there are direct and indirect costs. the classification is charged to the orderedproduct. Based on the results of the research cost of good sold of 1 unit skid winch system based onjob order costing method is Rp. 37.564.984, - and the selling price is Rp. 51.651.853, -.and the Profitis Rp. 9.391.246, -. the calculation using job order costing method with company calculation there iscost difference, cost of good sold equal to Rp. 5.665.388,- and the calculation of selling price Rp.16.551.298,-. This is because the company in the determination of the cost of good sold and theselling price does not classify all components of the cost in detail so the result that got by thecompany are less accurate and less maximum profit.

Abstract

Di jaman modern ini perkembangan terknologi semakin pesat membuat persaingan di dunia industri juga semakin ketat.Hal tersebut mengakibatkan industri plastik di Indonesia harus mampu meningkatkan produksinya, baik dalam hal kuantitas maupun kualitas produksinya.Mesin MKV 3 merupakan salah satu mesin extrusion blow molding yang digunakan untuk memproduksi botol Toner 200 ml. Proses produksi botol toner 200 ml ini membutuhkan waktu siklus selama± 22 detik dan menghasilkan 2885 botol per shift.Hal tersebut dinilai masih kurang karena kapasitas produksinya masih kurang memenuhi kapasitas yang diinginkan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dibutuhkan optimasi pada waktu siklus produksi botol toner 200 ml namun harus memperhatikan kualitas produknya, dalam hal ini adalah netto botol.Dalam penelitian ini variabel proses (parameter) yang diambil antara lain blowing pressure, blowing time dan stop time, sedangkan variabel respon yang dipilih pada penelitian ini adalah cycle time, netto. Metode analisa yang digunakan adalah Metoderespon surface. Metode analisa tersebut menghasilkan nilai variabel proses terhadap variabel respon yang optimal.Berdasrkan hasil penelitian didapat kesimpulan bahwa keadaan optimum dihasilkan pada kondisi blowing pressure sebesar 6.3535 bar; blowing time sebesar 12 detik; dan stop time 2 detik. Dari keadaan optimum tersebut cycle time yang dihasilkan yaitu 19.97 detik dan netto yang dihasilkan sesuai standar yaitu 22.02 gram.

Abstract

One of the uses of steel is as a basic material for making helical gear. Helical gear is made of medium carbon steel S45C which is carbon steel for the use of machine structure. Sometimes in the production process of helical gear has a hardness values that are not in accordance with the standards of hardness that have been determined by the customer. One way to improve the nature of hardness is the hardening process. The hardening process can be done by considering the factors that affected the hardness of a material, such as heating temperature, holding time, cooling medium, and coolant media temperature. In this research, the method of analysis used is Taguchi with signal to noise ratio (RSN) nominal the best to determine the effect of factors and determine the optimal parameter combination in order for knowing the appropriate of hardness value. From the results of research, it is found the factors that influence the hardness of S45C steel in the hardening process of helical gear are the temperature of cooling medium. As for the optimum parameter combination is heating temperature 740oC, holding time 20 minutes, oil cooling medium and coolant temperature 35oC.

Abstract

Minimalist car three-wheeled car is a new innovation made to maximize vehicle use. Indesigning a separate three-wheeled minimalist car, it will combine the trike tilting system where whenturning the car body will tilt towards the turn. One of the main components of a car that is veryimportant is the chassis. Chassis is one of the important parts in a car that must have strongconstruction to withstand vehicle loads. The purpose of this research is to find out the minimalistthree-wheeled car chassis design that is expected to become a modern vehicle.In this study using thedevelopment method by using Solidworks software as a software for creating Arm designs. The use ofSolidworks software also aims to perform numerical analysis to determine the strength of the chassisby looking at the results of von mises stress on the results of software analysis. In numerical analysisthe chassis uses three tests with different load variations, namely, the load is evenly distributed on thesurface, the load is centered on the center of gravity, and the load when the collision occurs.From theexisting design, the concept of the three of the three concepts was chosen because it was able towithstand the load even with profiles and dimensions with a maximum load of 8773,735. In the designof Swing Arm using ASTM A36 pipe material with yield strenght of 250 N / mm2. In the validation ofthe swing arm strength using the safety factor of 4. So the validation uses a permit voltage of 62.5 N /mm2. From the validation between the analysis carried out by the chassis, it was declared safebecause the voltage that occurred in the chassis did not exceed the allowable voltage.

Abstract

Proses milling material kayu yang tipis pada mesin CNC Router 3 Axis tidak dapat menggunakan cekam biasa. Material kayu yang tipis bisa dijepit dengan clamp atau dibaut. Pembuatan lubang baut juga tidak mudah dan tidak efisien. Selain clamping kit alat cekam bisa menggunakan sistem perekatan dengan lem yang dapat merusak permukaan material. Dari permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan alat cekam yang mampu menahan gaya potong saat proses millingtanpa merusak permukaan material. Vacuum clamp merupakan sebuah solusi untuk permasalahan tersebut.Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan vacuum clamp dimulai dari proses observasi spesifikasi mesin CNC router dan sifat material kayu. Setelah data yang dikumpulkan, maka dilakukan proses perhitungan kapasitas pompa, kekuatan cekam, dan detail drawing. Proses berikutnya yaitu pembuatan komponen dan perakitan vacuum clamp yang akan diuji langsung pada mesin CNC router 3 axis.Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu dari nilai tegangan geser kayu jati sebesar 13 Mpa menggunakan endmill 6 mm sudut helix 25o didapatkan resultan gaya potong sebesar 40,97 N. Dari luas minimum meja vakum 1764 mm2, dipilih kapasitas pompa sebesar 1 bar. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan 1 meja vakum dan 2 meja vakum dengan uji kesejajaran dan dimensi profil, hasil pengukuran produk uji menghasilkan nilai akurasi > akurasi penyimpangan maksimum.
