The aim of the Conference on Design Manufacture Engineering and Its Application (CDMA) is to provide a scientific platform for researchers, academics, and professionals to share and disseminate original research, innovative ideas, and practical developments in the fields of design engineering, manufacturing technology, and their multidisciplinary applications. CDMA welcomes the submission of theoretical and empirical papers that aim to advance knowledge, challenge conventional practices, and offer new insights into areas such as product design, manufacturing systems, industrial automation, materials engineering, and related domains. Abstract

The barge backhoe deck is planned to be modified to add length so that analysis is neededregarding the strength of the structure, considering that most coal loading and unloading processestake place on the backhoe deck, so the safety of the backhoe deck structure is very important. In thisstudy, we will find out how much stress occurs on the backhoe deck by using the Finite ElementMethod as the media of analysis.From the results of the simulation and analysis it is known that themaximum voltage that occurs when the backhoe is not operating is equal to 24 MPa, and when thebackhoe is operating that is equal to 27.43 MPa. The maximum deflection when the backhoe is notoperating is 60.99 mm, and when the backhoe is operating that is 68.6 mm. Factor of safety when thebackhoe is not operating is 9.6 and when the backhoe is operating is 8.5.Based on the simulation themaximum voltage value is still below the permit voltage in the manual calculation, namely 166 Mpa.The deflection value of the simulation results is also still below the maximum deflection value that ispermitted in the manual calculation of 70 mm. The factor of safety value according to BKI can beconcluded that the construction of the backhoe deck is declared safe in loading when the backhoe isnot operating or when the backhoe is operating because it meets the safety factor requirements thatthe safety factor value must be more than 1.

Abstract

Indonesia has a lot of livelihoods, especially in industry. Because the Indonesian people are very numerous, the production each year will increase, therefore every producer must be able to overcome every need that consumers want. The manufacturing field is most needed in every industry because every product manufacture must not be separated from the manufacturing process. In a worksheet there must be a hand work tool to facilitate or tidy up a final process. In this case the viscera function as a tool for clamping workpieces is very important. Ragum is a clamping device to clamp the workpiece that will be carried out by the milling process. With the vise, the workpiece can be tightly clamped so as to facilitate the processing process and the results of a process will be maximized. In this Final Project, a maximum stress strength analysis will be carried out on one of the Hydraulic Rigs with the aim that the Raft can be more efficient and operate optimally. The study conducted on this hydraulic formula is expected to be able to overcome problems that often occur in the manufacturing process in the field of production. So that the operator knows more about the work of the hydraulic vise and can operate optimally, and the production work is not hampered due to damage to the vise. In the end, the hydraulic vise will be able to be used longer than the vise that is used carelessly and quickly damaged.

Abstract

In the past one year, the problem of critical defects is the most dominant problem. With a percentage of 46% of all problems. This study aims to determine the factors that cause the bottle to leak and to find an effort to reduce the level of leaky bottles in the blow molding department's bottle production process. The method used in this study is Six Sigma which includes five stages of analysis, namely DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). The approach used to improve the process. Each stage of DMAIC is done by carefully analyzing and maintaining the process. The results of this study indicate that the factors causing leaky bottles analyzed with FTA are problematic valves, air settings are not normal, blow pins are not centered, loose switch limit bolts, no checking rules, new technicians, and no defective mouth product reference . While the effort that must be done is changing the valve, the central pressure is increased to 7.5-8 bar, setting the blow pin to the center, changing the limit switch bolt, making the rules at the beginning of shift shifts, holding regular training for technicians, and making leaky product references.

Abstract

The development of Indonesian and world manufacturing industries is currently growing very rapidly due to technological advances in various fields. As a result, consumers become more critical in choosing and determining a product or service to be used. Manufacturing company engaged in manufacturing plastic packaging in Ngoro, East Java. Complaints often occur from customers for products that often experience plastic connections that are not perfectly bonded and also the tools to carry out these tests have some disadvantages of efficient and safety levels for operators.The method used for making pressure testing equipment on 100ml garnier products with a pneumatic system to overcome these problems. The working system of this machine is to put pressure on 2 products simultaneously which will be set by selenoid valve 3/2 and the timer will automatically calculate which serves to calculate the holding time of the pressure. The process of making this machine with several stages, namely design, making drawing details, electro pneumatic system planning, fabrication and assembly stages. The results of this machine can fill optimally with a maximum pressure of 2 bars into both products in a single test with the appropriate pressure It is hoped that electrophorics will work for this testing machine

Abstract

Every year more than 36 million people worldwide die from non- communicable diseases or 63% of all deaths. The cause is cardiovascular disease stroke and coronary heart disease. In Indonesia itself according to the diagnosis of Nakes in 2013 estimated that 2,137,941 people affected by stroke. According to some experts who argue that appropriate therapy for stroke patients in addition to exercise can also run with cycling. In Indonesia, there is no wheelchair for rehabilitation in accordance with anthropometry and community needs. It needs a breakthrough innovation concept of wheelchair design in accordance with fungtion for rehabilitation to keep right position of hand and training foot muscle accordance with the wishes and anthropometri of indonesia society. The method for performing this static bike design analysis is the Ulrich method for the process of design concepts and the RULA method for bicycle ergonomic analysis. The design of static bike is done by anthropometri analysis, ergonomic analysis and strength analysis by using CATIA software. The resulting design based on user rehabilitation needs has several additional functions and components such as armrest, footcycling, and pedal safeguard. With the addition of these functions and components, will further maximize the rehabilitation process of stroke patients in wherever and whenever

Abstract

As time goes by, quality becomes one of the most important things. Indicator goodproducts, resulting from the good quality control. The product result from packaging industry variesso as to cause analysis and control processes quality becomes unequal and not maximal. In this case,the reseacher using the Six Sigma method with DMAIC’s phase (De ine, Measure, Analyze, Improve,Control). There are many tools that the reseacher used, like project charter, SIPOC’s diagram, Voiceof customer (VOC), control chart, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).From the results project charter is obtained that is the problem regarding how to reduce customercomplaints against BT products 8251 (42%) to (15%). Then the results of the control chart (u-chart)that reject of the product sent to customer has not been controlled. After that, the causes wereanalyzed using Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Improvements are recommended to reduce defects basedon RPN (Risk Priority Number) from Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA). There are severalsuggestions that are tried to be applied in the industry but it still cannot be seen being followed up.

Abstract

Loudspeaker Manufacturing Company is one of the companies engaged in the manufacture of loudspeakers that make components and assemblies for loudspeakers. One part of the loudspeaker is the front plate with tool number 03TP038 which is produced with a press system through two separate procedures and is carried out with two separate tools and work stations. This causes the production process to be less efficient. Press tool design and analysis using CAD / CAE software is an effort made to optimize the production process by designing the press tool into a progressive tool. As well as the strength analysis in the design is used as a determination of feasibility, as well as improvements to the press tool. The results of the study that the Front Plate 3TP038 Press Tool design can be made into a progressive tool by performing the required calculations. The simulation results obtained the maximum value of von Mises stress on the piercing punch Ø14.18 mm is 244.1 Mpa deflection 0.0187 mm, piercing punch Ø2.08 mm is 539.9 Mpa deflection 0.05034, punch fillet R0.3 mm is 72.29 MPa deflection 0.004137, punch fillet R0.3 mm bottom is 406.9 Mpa deflection 8.196e-004 mm, Blanking Punch Ø40.67 mm is 194.3 Mpa deflection 0.007589, dies at 283.5 Mpa deflection is 0.003973 where the value does not exceed the yield strength value of D2 Steel material which is 2150 Mpa

Abstract

Plastic is a human need in everyday life, one of which is as a place to wrap food and drinks. The increasing level of public consumption, the more plastic waste produced. Waste from plastic is very difficult to decompose naturally. In order to overcome this, of course, we need a way to process the plastic waste into more useful things and also have benefits for the community, one way is to recycle plastic waste into fuel, which is fuel in the form of oil. But in making a new innovation, a tool is needed that can transform a waste into something that is beneficial to society in general. One of them is by distillation or distillation. A tool used to separate chemicals based on differences in speed or ease of evaporation or volatility of materials. In this distillation, the mixture of the ingredients boils so that it evaporates and the steam is then boiled back into liquid form. Substances that have a lower boiling point will evaporate first. Later this steam will turn into oil using the help of a condenser. Where the steam entering the condenser will condense and form water grains. Which will later turn into oil. The oil produced through this distillation process with PET and PP plastic as much as 500 ml for 5 kg of plastic.

Abstract

This study aims to create ergonomic seat design, which will be applied to the minimalisttricycle car. Seats that will be designed in this study has two designs, the front seat for one driver andthe back seat for two passengers. In ergonomic seat design is used Ulric method for the process ofmaking a product design. The design of the seat should refer to the anthropometry of the Indonesianhuman body in order to create an ergonomic seat, because this product is intended for the Indonesianpeople. Some of the design concepts that have been created will be selected one the best designamong several design concepts. The selection of design concepts refers to three things. First, basedon ergonomic values that can be analyzed using RULA (Rappid Upper Limb Assessment) method thatcontain in softwere catia. Second, based on the aesthetic value that gained from the distribution ofaesthetic questionnaire of products. Third, based on the level of convenience that determined by theseat upholstery materials used. The results of this study indicate that the three front and back seatsdesign can be categorized to be ergonomic. That statement is based on the result of RULA valueanalysis which shows the final value 2, which is in the table described that the risk of injury withvalue 2 is can be included into the acceptable category and has no risk of injury. Based on the therereferences that have been described, and from the three concepts that have been made for the frontseat and back seat, was chosen concept 2 for the front seat because in the process of design conceptselection obtained absolute value 4 and the relative value 34.12%. In the back seat was chosenconcept 2 because in the process of design concept selection obtained absolute value 4.03 andrelative value 34.7

Abstract

One of the problems of PT. YRS (Confident of Achieving Success) is the damage of red ginger seedlings due to a long period of time during the expedition so that the seeds of ginger decay. One of the decay factors is the high water content. To minimize damage to ginger seeds, red ginger seeds must be aerated (dried) for 1 week in 200 kg. The process is considered less efficient because it still uses manual methods. Therefore, an integrated machine is needed. This red ginger seed drying machine uses a fan blower system as an introduction to hot air with an air flow rate of 29 cfm and uses an automatic system as an electric controller. This ginger seed drying machine requires energy of 790 j / sec or 790 watts. The results in this study are that the red ginger seed drying machine can work well and can achieve drying of ginger seeds with an average moisture content of 83.17% where the moisture content is included in the specification requirements of PT. YRS within 45 minutes. This drying machine speeds up the drying process than before and cuts the operational costs of PT. YRS so that by using this tool PT. YRS can reduce expenses.
