The character crisis that occurs in young people is the main problem in national education. Various literature describes how the concept of character education in national education failed. This research aims to explain the idea of prophetic Leadership based on examples in the educational environment as an offer of solutions to these problems. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research is expected to reveal prophetic leadership practices located at the Daruttaqwa Islamic Boarding School, which has been dedicated for 14 years to shaping the character of teenagers. The results of the study revealed that the integration of Sapta Jiwa Pondok Pesantren Daruttaqwa with the concept of prophetic Leadership reflects values such as Sadiq (honesty) in simplicity and sincerity, Trust in obedience and responsibility, and tabligh in the totality of ukhuwah and sacrifice. Fathanah (intelligence) is manifested in intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. The concept of boarding school in this Islamic boarding school provides a social interaction experience that hones the emotional intelligence of students. The incorporation of these values in the curriculum and the lives of students shows the dedication of leaders and educators in building a comprehensive character education.

Abstract

Euphemisms are an important part of the Indonesian language tradition, including in big cities like Palembang and Padang. The term refers to the use of more subtle words or expressions to replace words that are considered rude, taboo, or impolite. This study aims to examine the use of euphemisms in daily conversations in the two cities, each of which has different language features and cultural influences. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques used interviews and observations. The data sources came from the observations of researchers and native speakers of Palembang and Minangkabau languages. Data analysis uses data reduction, data explanation and concluding. Data validity uses triangulation. The results showed that the use of euphemisms in these two cities is different, based on the theory put forward by Allan and Burridge. In the Minangkabau language, there are nine forms of euphemisms, while in the Palembang language, there are thirteen forms. Both languages reflect the way people maintain social harmony and show respect for others through polite and subtle language. This research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the role of language in maintaining politeness values in Palembang and Padang communities.

Abstract

This study aims to identify important components in school administration that can improve the effectiveness of learning and student management. The method used in this study is qualitative research, which explores data through observation and interviews, where researchers collect data on the implementation of administration, student management, and the interaction between these two aspects. Data was obtained through interviews with principals, teachers, and staff who were still involved in the research. The results show that good and systematic administrative management contributes significantly to the smoothness of the teaching and learning process, as well as the development of student's potential. It was found that a clear and programmed division of administrative tasks in each school can improve efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of educational activities. In addition, this study also revealed that administration is not only limited to the financial aspect but also includes the continuity of a quality teaching and learning process. Effective and organized administrative services greatly influence the success of education in a school environment. In this increasingly competitive and modern era, schools need to adapt to developments in science and technology and implement innovative administrative practices. Thus, good administrative management will support the achievement of optimal educational goals and the all-round development of students so that schools can function as environments that support effective and sustainable learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the affective learning model of Islamic religious education in the formation of character building at the Baitul Qur'an Mlarak Islamic Boarding School (PAS: Pesantren Anak Sholeh), as well as its supporting and inhibiting factors. The method used is qualitative research, which produces descriptive data through observation and interviews with individuals involved in the learning process. The results show that the implementation of effective learning in MaIrasah Ibtidaiyah PAS is carried out through various habituations, such as reciting the Koran together, praying dhuhr and dhuhr in the congregation, and providing examples to students through shaking hands every morning. Supporting factors found include a good system of school activities, the competence of teachers who work together, and the willingness of students to excel. However, there are also inhibiting factors, such as the diverse backgrounds of students, the lack of cooperation between parents and teachers, and the different individual development of students. In conclusion, despite the challenges, the implementation of effective learning models in MI PAS shows positive results in shaping student character, with support from the school environment and student commitment, but further efforts are needed to overcome inhibiting factors so that learning can run more effectively and optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of Islamic education on students' moral and ethical development using a qualitative literature review approach. It analyses findings from previous studies to understand how Islamic education contributes to character building based on the values of the Qur'an and Hadith. The results show that Islamic education not only serves as a means of knowledge transfer but also as a foundation for strong moral formation through the integration of values such as niyyah (intention), ikhlas (sincerity), and ihsan (excellence) in learning processes. Moral inculcation is further strengthened by family involvement, social environment, and a holistic curriculum. However, challenges include limited teacher competence, the negative impact of social media, and a lack of public awareness regarding the significance of Islamic education. This study proposes adaptive implementation strategies, such as improved teacher training, use of value-based digital media, and school-family collaboration. The novelty of this research lies in its critical synthesis of recent literature and its focus on linking Islamic educational principles with character formation in the face of globalisation. The findings offer significant implications for developing contextually relevant and value-oriented Islamic education policies and practices to nurture morally upright future generations.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the imbalance between cognitive and psychomotor assessment on student learning motivation at State Senior High School 1 Kajen. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and interviews with students active in non-academic activities. The data analysis technique used three stages: data reduction, data display, and description/verification of conclusions. The study results indicate that an excessive emphasis on cognitive achievement in the formal assessment system causes students who excel in psychomotor skills to feel unappreciated, negatively impacting their learning motivation. This non-holistic assessment can hinder students' development, especially in character building and life skills. This study emphasises the importance of a balanced educational evaluation system that recognises students' contributions in various domains, both academic and non-academic. The uniqueness of this study lies in its emphasis on the need to redefine indicators of educational success to be more inclusive and humanistic.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a comprehensive evaluation model for Islamic education that integrates cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions while incorporating technology-assisted assessment methods. Utilising a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative literature analysis and quantitative instrument development (following the ADDIE model), the research identifies significant gaps in current evaluation practices, particularly the overemphasis on cognitive measurement and inadequate attention to character development. Findings reveal that while traditional evaluation methods dominate (with only 30% of Islamic schools adopting technology-based assessment), pilot implementations of the proposed multidimensional model demonstrate 42% improvement in character outcomes and 35% increased assessment efficiency. The study highlights three key innovations: (1) a three-domain evaluation framework aligned with Islamic educational objectives, (2) digital assessment tools preserving sharia principles, and (3) practical training modules for educator capacity building. Results further indicate that technology integration significantly reduces evaluation time (by approximately 60%) while improving accuracy in spiritual development tracking. The research contributes to educational reform by offering standardised instruments for holistic student assessment and evidence-based policy recommendations to align national education systems with Islamic values, addressing historical limitations in Islamic educational evaluation since the 12th century.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the personality traits of students at Madrasah Salafiyah Ulya Nashrus Sunnah and understand how an educational process that combines the Salafiyah method, memorisation of the Qur'an, and religious understanding can shape students' characters to be disciplined, responsible, and honest. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data is analysed using three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion description/verification. The results of the study show that 95% of students arrive on time for Halaqoh and morning dzikir, reflecting high discipline. Additionally, 90% of students did not engage in academic misconduct, and 100% of students participated in congregational obligatory prayers. Character development was achieved through habit formation, teacher modelling, and collaboration with parents. These findings indicate that character education in this madrasah successfully cultivates individuals who are not only academically intelligent but also possess good moral character. In conclusion, the implementation of an educational method that integrates Islamic values and positive habits significantly contributes to the development of students' character, making them more disciplined, responsible, and honest. This study emphasises the importance of character education in creating a balanced and quality generation, ready to face the challenges of the times with strong religious principles.
