Abstract

Islamic boarding school-based leadership requires someone who has Islamic boarding school-style leadership criteria, such as adaptive, selective, independent, strong and adhering to Islamic teachings in order to create an ideal education system. The purpose of this service is to explain the basics and foundations of Islamic leadership in the Qur'an and Hadith to students and Islamic boarding school administrators who are carrying out their duties in applying the knowledge they have gained at the Islamic boarding school to be put into practice at the Islamic boarding school. This community service method takes the form of coaching activities for students regarding Islamic leadership which is carried out offline. The number of students who took part in this service activity was 73 students. The results of the service activities showed that the students were enthusiastic about participating in this activity and were able to understand Islamic leadership such as self-management and practicing discipline in participating in activities at the Islamic boarding school and not using things that were not their rights. The benefit of this service activity is that the students can apply and understand Islamic leadership both while inside the Islamic boarding school and outside the Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

This community service aims to empower the community in developing the boat dock area in Darussalam Village as a sustainable ecotourism area. The method used in this activity is direct outreach to the community and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The results obtained show that the pier in Darussalam village has the potential to be developed into an ecotourism area based on its potential. This is also supported by the enthusiasm of the village community in managing the environment sustainably. There is a need for collaboration in developing ecotourism areas so that they can support improving the economy of the surrounding community. This service can indirectly increase community knowledge in managing natural resource potential, foster a mindset to collaborate to form a community that has the potential to increase community economic income, and create initiatives to form tourism awareness community groups as an effort to manage the sustainable environment.

Abstract

Training on making decorative products from Papuan red fruit using feather wire for teenagers in the Malanu complex, Sorong City, aims to develop craft arts skills and appreciate the richness of local culture. This training was carried out with the aim of increasing creativity and empowering teenagers to produce decorative products that are aesthetic and have high artistic value. Training methods include observation, preparation and implementation. As a result, the teenagers from the Malanu complex succeeded in producing decorative products that reflected local Papuan identity and demonstrated impressive artistic abilities. These results were also strengthened by the results of the questionnaire which showed that there were 3 questions to assess participants' understanding and abilities regarding the material and practice, including: Fruit shape. red, materials and tools, as well as product manufacturing steps. Of the 11 participants, 8 people had an understanding of the material and training and 3 other people had sufficient understanding. Thus, it can be concluded that the training activities can be understood by participants.

Abstract

This socialization activity was carried out at the Abdi Praja RPTRA (Child-Friendly Open Public Space) with the aim of increasing environmental awareness and empowering housewives to improve the family economy. This program combines two important aspects Environmental Awareness, which includes training on waste management, energy conservation, and sustainable use of natural resources, and Economic Empowerment, which involves training in business skills, family financial management, and income-increasing strategies. By involving housewives as the main participants, this activity aims to optimize their role in managing the household and improving family welfare through a practical and community-based approach. The results of this socialization activity are expected to improve the understanding and skills of participants in both areas, so that they can implement beneficial changes at the family and community levels. Through the empowerment of housewives and strengthening environmental awareness, it is hoped that the Abdi Praja RPTRA will become a successful example in implementing the principles of sustainability and improving the family economy in local communities.

Abstract

Micro and small businesses that withstand economic crises are able to absorb labor thereby significantly reducing unemployment. In Kore Village, Sanggar District, Bima Regency, small and medium-sized businesses often neglect accounting, and there is no separation of personal and business assets. Most of these MSME actors are still making decisions based on intuition and experience. In simple accounting training for small businesses, the purpose of implementing PKM is to know how to do accounting itself so that it is systematic and important when doing accounting so that income, costs and profits are measured. and know the development of the business. In Kore Baru Village, Sanggar District, Bima Regency, the method of implementing community service is divided into three stages, namely the first stage of interviews and field observations, the second stage of conducting training, and the last stage is mentoring and monitoring. . The results obtained from this activity are able to increase knowledge and skills in business management through simple and easy-to-implement bookkeeping/accounting so as to increase work motivation.

Abstract

This service is an activity of the Indonesian Men's University "YPTK" Padang lecturer team to carry out outreach to increase awareness of the younger generation about understanding non-taxable income for students at SMK Negeri 1 Pasaman Barat. The activities provided aim to make the younger generation aware of the importance of reporting taxes even though they don't have any income. This activity was carried out as feedback from the needs analysis action (need survey) which had been carried out by the service team for the younger generation, where information was obtained that many young people did not understand the limit of income that was not subject to tax for individual taxpayers according to the amount his family's responsibilities. The service is carried out using 2 methods, namely direct lectures which contain explanations about taxes and the importance of tax reporting.

Abstract

Freedom to Learn Independent Campus (MBKM) Entrepreneurship activities are students' freedom to study outside of higher education. Through collaboration with various universities, students will be involved in entrepreneurial learning which builds entrepreneurial spirit, gains entrepreneurial experience, and improves students' work abilities. The aim of community service activities carried out by KKNT_MBKM STIE BIMA students is to empower the local community by utilizing the local potential of the starfruit plant more optimally. This empowerment is carried out through product innovation in the form of sweets, juice drinks and masks as well as attractive product packaging. The methods used in this service activity are socialization, training and mentoring through the preparation, implementation and monitoring and evaluation stages of activities. This community service activity produces various processed products from the starfruit plant which are packaged firmly and safely with attractive designs.

Abstract

The development of computer technology is increasing rapidly, this can be seen in the era of the 80s computer networks are still a puzzle that academics want to answer, and in 1988 computer networks began to be used in universities, companies, now entering this millennium era, especially the world wide internet has become the daily reality of millions of people on this earth. In addition, network hardware and software have completely changed, at the beginning of its development almost all networks were built from coaxial cables, now many of them have been built from fiber optics or wireless communication. Computer network technology is already used in various fields including education. Some schools have computers to speed up the work process, and some even use computer network technology to support the learning process. Currently, many schools have computer networks that integrate local networks into intranet and internet networks. Given the need for computer-based education delivery, computer networks in schools are very helpful in the teaching and learning process and make it easier for students and teachers to access information through the internet. In this training, participants will be taught and accompanied to learn to install computer networks. The purpose of this activity is to provide basic computer network training to students, starting from the introduction of computer networks, the practice of making network cables to the configuration of LAN computer networks. The results obtained in general students quickly mastered the material in the installation of computer networks, this is shown by the results of the pre-test. The importance of the results of this service is used to find out how much ability to absorb/capture the material provided by the instructor.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in the way of communicating in an educational environment. Teachers at SMP Bersinar Selambo, North Sumatra Province, are faced with the challenge of maintaining effective horizontal communication amid the transition from face-to-face communication to virtual media. This community service program aims to improve horizontal communication skills between teachers through the use of virtual media after the Covid-19 pandemic. This activity was carried out by providing training and mentoring to teachers regarding the use of various virtual communication platforms, such as video conferencing applications and online collaboration tools. Through a participatory approach, the program also identifies the barriers teachers face in adapting to new technologies and offers solutions to improve their digital skills. The results of this program show a significant improvement in communication and collaboration skills between teachers, as well as a decrease in barriers to the use of communication technology. The conclusion of this community service activity is that improving digital skills and understanding of virtual media effectively supports better horizontal communication among SMP Bersinar Selambo teachers. This program is expected to be a model for other schools facing similar challenges, as well as contribute to creating an adaptive and collaborative educational environment in the digital era.

Abstract

The program titled "Pemuda Cerdas Digital: Pelatihan Desain Grafis dengan Canva" aims to equip young individuals with essential graphic design skills using Canva, a user-friendly design tool. In the digital age, visual communication plays a crucial role in personal branding, marketing, and effective messaging. However, many youths lack access to affordable and accessible design tools and training. This training program provides a hands-on approach to learning graphic design, focusing on practical skills and creative techniques using Canva. Participants are introduced to various design elements such as layout, typography, and color theory, enabling them to create visually appealing materials including social media graphics, posters, and flyers. The program's objective is to enhance participants' design skills, foster creativity, and empower them to effectively communicate ideas through visual content. The training also aims to bridge the gap between traditional graphic design education and the need for accessible, practical tools for the younger generation. Evaluation of the program indicates a significant improvement in participants' ability to produce professional-quality designs and a greater confidence in their design skills. The program highlights the importance of integrating digital tools into youth education to prepare them for future opportunities in a visually-driven world.
