Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the skills and competitiveness of community business groups in Batang Kuis Pekan Village in the fields of handicrafts, souvenirs, screen printing, and printing. The methods used include problem identification, program planning, activity implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The program includes design and production training, digital marketing, and business financial management. The results of the evaluation showed that more than 80% of the participants were able to apply the skills taught, including the use of digital technology for marketing and financial records. The assistance provided also helped participants overcome technical obstacles in production and business management. This activity was strengthened by a discussion session with STMIK lecturer Mulia Darma who emphasized the importance of collaboration between academics, the government, and the business community in building a sustainable business ecosystem. The recommendation for the formation of a local entrepreneurial community is expected to strengthen the network between business actors and support the sustainability of the program. Thus, this program has succeeded in providing real benefits for community business groups and can be used as a model for community-based economic development in other regions.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the product branding strategy of Kerupuk Ibu Ramlah UMKM through packaging innovation. In the context of tight market competition and the important role of UMKM in the Indonesian economy, effective branding is the key to competitiveness. Packaging innovation not only functions as a product protector, but also as a visual communication media to attract consumer interest. This study uses direct survey methods, interviews, and an implementation approach that includes the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results of the study showed a significant increase in consumer interest, product durability, and sales profit after the implementation of new packaging. These findings prove that packaging innovation is an effective branding strategy to improve the competitiveness and image of UMKM products. This study is expected to be a practical reference for other UMKM in developing branding strategies based on innovative packaging.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has driven many businesses to innovate, particularly in product branding and packaging to remain competitive in the digital era. This community service project aimed to empower local SMEs in Salama, Kota Bima, with a focus on the traditional snack "Tarekli", which lacked attractive packaging and product variation. The objectives of the program were to increase product appeal and marketability through innovative packaging design and flavor development. The methods used included direct observation, surveys, and interviews with local Tarekli producers. The program was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. During the preparation stage, suitable packaging themes and flavor concepts were discussed. In the implementation phase, customized packaging was designed collaboratively with the SMEs, considering cost, aesthetics, and practicality. The evaluation stage involved revisiting the SMEs to assess the effectiveness and sustainability of the new product packaging and variations. The results indicated increased customer interest and a positive response from local markets, showing that aesthetic packaging and diverse flavors significantly enhance the competitiveness of traditional products. This project highlights the importance of packaging innovation and product development as strategic tools in supporting local economic empowerment.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in the Indonesian economy, including in the Bima region. This study analyzes opportunities and strategies for the development of Fried Puffy Banana MSMEs in Rabakodo Village through community service activities in the form of training, observation, and business assistance. The results show that there is an increase in product competitiveness through flavor variant innovation, market expansion through digital promotion, and strengthening partnerships with local farmers. This strategy succeeded in increasing production volume by 25% in three months. This study shows the importance of local collaboration in encouraging the sustainability of MSMEs based on village potential.

Abstract

. Sardin's tofu factory in Oimbo Village, Bima City, is a micro business that still relies on conventional marketing methods, so it has limited market reach. This study aims to analyze the potential of social media as a promotional strategy to expand the market and increase business competitiveness. The methods used included field observation, training on the use of WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram platforms, and qualitative evaluation before and after the intervention. The results showed an increase in digital exposure, with the addition of 85 new followers and an increase in customer interaction through direct messaging. Although it has not had a significant impact on sales, business owners are beginning to understand the importance of digital marketing. The main challenge lies in low digital literacy and technological limitations. In conclusion, continuous assistance and digital strategies that are tailored to the characteristics of business actors can be solutions for developing locally-based MSMEs.

Abstract

This community service initiative addresses the critical need for robust character education in early childhood, specifically fostering honesty and helping attitudes through an innovative drama performance titled "Six Witches Rescuing the Forest". Recognizing the pivotal role of formative years for personality and moral development, and the common underdevelopment of crucial values like honesty and compassion, drama was meticulously chosen. Its interactive and imaginative nature allows for seamless integration of value-based learning with profound emotional experiences, ensuring moral messages are conveyed enjoyably and deeply internalized. The multi-stage methodology involved thorough preparation, initial observations to identify children's needs, an engaging drama performance, and comprehensive evaluation. Conducted at TK Bakti 2 Ngesrep Boyolali with 38 children aged 4-6 years, empirical findings indicate significant improvement in children's interaction abilities, appropriate emotional expression, and internalization of honesty and helping values. This demonstrates role-playing drama as a powerful pedagogical tool for positive character building and strengthening social relationships, preparing children to be responsible and empathetic individuals for future societal contributions.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in supporting regional economic development. However, many MSME actors in Sigara-Gara Village, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency still rely on conventional marketing methods due to low digital literacy, limited content creation skills, and difficulties in utilizing e-commerce platforms. This community service program aimed to provide outreach and training on digital marketing, focusing on branding awareness, social media utilization, and e-commerce account setup and operation. The activity involved 15 MSME participants and was conducted using an andragogical approach emphasizing practice-based learning. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of digital marketing concepts and an increased motivation to shift from conventional to digital systems. Continued support and mentoring are recommended to ensure sustainable implementation of the acquired skills.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to instill and strengthen the values of faith and morals in early childhood through the media of Islamic drama performances entitled "Friendship Without Limits". Early childhood is in the golden phase of character development, so a fun and communicative approach is key in the process of value education. Islamic drama was chosen as a medium because it is able to convey moral and spiritual messages visually, emotionally, and interactively. This activity was carried out at BA Aisyiyah Ngombakan. The methods used include Activity Preparation, Initial Observation and Needs Identification, Drama Implementation / Performance, and Reflection and Evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in children's understanding of Islamic values such as honesty, helping each other, compassion, and maintaining friendship within the framework of correct faith. Drama performances have proven to be an effective medium in Islamic character education for early childhood that is fun and meaningful.

Abstract

Active involvement of church youth in ministry is essential for fostering spiritual growth and creativity among Christian youth. In today's digital era, social media serves as a powerful platform to promote church activities in an engaging and modern way. However, many youths lack the skills to design content that is visually appealing and aligned with digital trends. This community service activity aimed to enhance the ability of the youth at GPP Church, Jl. Pelajar, Medan, in creating creative social media content using design applications such as Canva and CapCut. The implementation method included initial observation, hands-on training, mentoring, and evaluation of the participants' work. The results showed high enthusiasm from the participants and their ability to produce creative content in the form of posters, reels, and promotional church event designs. This training successfully improved their understanding and skills in designing and using social media positively to support church events and outreach. Furthermore, it empowered the youth to become creative digital ambassadors for the church, staying relevant to current technological developments.

Abstract

Website design skills are one of the important competencies needed in the digital era, especially for Vocational High School (SMK) students who are directed to be ready for work. This community service activity aims to improve the digital literacy and technical skills of SMK 1 Parulian students through training in creating a simple website using the WordPress platform. The implementation method includes preparation stages, direct training implementation, and evaluation in the form of pre-test and post-test. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of the concept and practice of website creation, as evidenced by the increase in post-test scores and students' success in creating a functional personal website. In addition, feedback from the questionnaire showed that participants felt enthusiastic and rated this training as very beneficial for their skill development. With this training, it is hoped that vocational school students will be able to develop their potential in the field of information technology, especially in WordPress-based digital content management.
