Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Program (P5) for Learners with Special Needs (PDBK) at SD Negeri Minggiran Yogyakarta. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of P5 has accommodated the active involvement of PDBK through inclusive, adaptive, and collaborative approaches. The six dimensions of P5: faith and piety in God Almighty, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity are implemented thematically and contextually, with adjustments to the characteristics of PDBK, especially slow learners. Teachers and Special Education Teachers (GPK) play an important role in the learning process and character strengthening. However, the implementation of P5 still faces obstacles such as limited teacher competence in inclusive education, the limited number of GPKs, and the lack of appropriate learning media. This study concludes that P5 can be effectively implemented for PDBK if supported by cross-party collaboration, appropriate learning strategies, and school policies that support equitable and diversity-friendly education. Abstract

This study originates from the issue of limited variation in seating arrangements in Grade III of MIS Al-Mubarakah Mohiyolo, where the conventional formation has predominantly been used. Such conditions have led to low levels of motivation, engagement, and interaction among students during the learning process. The purpose of this research is to describe the variations of seating arrangements applied by teachers and to analyze their implications for teaching and learning dynamics. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teachers implemented three types of seating arrangements: traditional formation, U-shaped formation, and conference formation. Among these, the U-shaped formation was perceived as the most effective by students, as it enhances visibility, facilitates mobility, strengthens interaction between teachers and students as well as among students, and is adaptable for both individual and group learning. These findings highlight that innovative seating arrangements can serve as an effective classroom management strategy to foster a conducive learning environment, improve student motivation, and support the achievement of learning objectives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Social Studies (IPS) learning based on local wisdom in the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 18 Bengkulu City. The research is grounded in the urgency of contextual education that emphasizes not only cognitive aspects but also the development of student character through social and cultural values embedded in the community. A qualitative research method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that integrating local wisdom, particularly the Tabot and Sedekah Laut traditions as well as the use of the Bengkulu language in daily communication, makes Social Studies learning more contextual, meaningful, and relevant. The values embedded—such as responsibility, cooperation, tolerance, politeness, and respect for cultural heritage—contribute significantly to strengthening character education. Key supporting factors include teacher competence in developing pedagogical strategies, the availability of school facilities, and a supportive learning environment. Furthermore, teachers’ experiences and school policies that prioritize local culture reinforce the integration of local wisdom into the curriculum. This study underscores that local wisdom–based Social Studies learning is not only relevant for enriching instructional materials but also strategic in preserving regional culture while fostering a generation that is character-driven, critical, and globally minded without losing connection to national cultural roots. Thus, contextualized learning through local wisdom provides a sustainable educational model that bridges tradition and modernity, equipping students with both cultural identity and global perspectives.

Abstract

News headline writing is one of the most critical aspects because it can affect readers' perceptions of the issues reported. The headline is the main thing that can attract the attention of readers, therefore writing a good and correct headline can affect the way readers conclude the content of the news. Based on this, the problem in this study is how the form and function of euphemisms and dysphemisms used in E-Sumatera Ekspres news headlines, especially political, criminal and environmental headlines (August-October 2024 edition). The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the use of euphemisms and dysphemisms in E-Sumatera Ekspres headlines (August-October 2024 edition). The results of the study found a total of 9 euphemism data consisting of 2 data of euphemism in the form of figurative expressions, 1 data of euphemism in the form of remodeling, 3 data of euphemism in the form of circumlocution, and 3 data of euphemism in the form of one word to replace another word. Furthermore, 22 data of dysphemism were found, consisting of 15 data of dysphemism in the form of figurative expression, 3 data of dysphemism in the form of metaphor, 1 data of dysphemism in the form of flipansi, 2 data of dysphemism in the form of remodeling, and 1 data of dysphemism in the form of circumlocution. The data shows that not all categories of euphemisms and dysphemisms described by Allan and Burridge are found in the research data. The research method used is descriptive method. This research reveals that the use of euphemisms aims to soften the delivery of sensitive information to make it more acceptable to readers, while dysphemisms are used to attract attention by accentuating dramatic or controversial aspects in the news.

Abstract

The cultivation of nationalism in students through extracurricular traditional dance activities at SD Negeri Cikokol 1, Tangerang City focuses on fostering a sense of patriotism and respect for Indonesian culture. This study aims to explore the role of traditional dance in instilling nationalism values in students. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings indicate that extracurricular traditional dance significantly contributes to cultivating nationalism, with students showing increased pride in Indonesian culture, enhanced cooperation, and affection for cultural diversity. However, there remains room for further development, particularly in the aspects of respect for teachers and fostering deeper love for Indonesian culture. The study suggests that teachers emphasize the integration of cultural values in extracurricular activities and provide more intensive guidance. The implications of this research highlight the importance of traditional dance as a medium for fostering nationalism character development, which can be applied in educational curricula.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECED) is an important foundation for the development of children during the golden period, so the success of its implementation is largely determined by the quality of human resources (HR) involved. Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability of educators and education personnel who are professional, competent, and able to provide meaningful services for child development.This study aims to analyze the concepts, challenges, and best practices of HRM in PAUD institutions. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach through reviewing journals, books, and scientific publications related to education and ECD management. The results of the study show that HRM practices in PAUD include the process of planning the needs of educators, selective recruitment, development through continuous training, competency-based performance appraisal, provision of appropriate compensation, and motivation and retention strategies. However, there are still significant challenges, including limited quality and quantity of educators, budget limitations, and barriers to the implementation of holistic-integrative ECD programs. Therefore, HR management in ECD needs to be done strategically, integrated, and collaboratively between government, educational institutions, and communities. In conclusion, effective HR management

Abstract

This research is titled 'Factors Causing Drug Abuse Among Adolescents (A Case Study of 5 Drug Users in Hutagalung Siualuompu Village, Tarutung, North Tapanuli).' This study aims to identify the factors that contribute to social deviations among the adolescents in that village, particularly in the form of drug abuse. Hutagalung Siualuompu Village is known for its strong religious characteristics; however, the phenomenon of social deviation among its youth has become a concerning issue. The adolescents studied are those who are detained. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and document studies. The research findings indicate that social deviance among adolescents in this village is influenced by various factors, both internal such as personality, abilities, and individual psychological conditions, as well as external factors like family, peer relationships, education, mass media, and socioeconomic conditions. However, education and mass media do not significantly influence adolescents in social deviance related to drug abuse; rather, it is influenced by family factors, peer relationships, and socioeconomic conditions. In addition, the response of the community and local government to this issue is deemed insufficiently active, which exacerbates the situation. This research highlights the importance of the role of family and community in preventing and addressing deviant behavior among adolescents. Interventions that involve strengthening social values and increasing community awareness are expected to create an environment that supports positive development for adolescents.

Abstract

. This study aims to determine and analyze the impact of the Hijau Lestari women farmers group on improving the welfare of family members in the Jati Kesuma village group in Deli Serdang Regency. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The data obtained in the field was then analyzed to draw conclusions from the research results. The conclusions obtained from the family welfare indicators according to BPS show that the Hijau Lestari women farmers group has no impact on health and nutrition, education, consumption levels and patterns, and poverty indicators. The Hijau Lestari women farmers group also did not contribute to an increase in other social indicators in terms of crime and access to information technology, but the Hijau Lestari women farmers group had a positive impact on tourism by fostering a strong sense of community and social cohesion. The factors that hinder the Hijau Lestari women farmers group from having an impact on improving family welfare are the lack of systematic administration and the lack of member activity. Apart from the Hijau Lestari women farmers group, other factors outside the Hijau Lestari women farmers group include crime in the form of theft, which still occurs frequently and hinders the group's development, lack of land in home gardens and demonstration plots, lack of utilization of modern technology, and the influence of seasonal weather.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of TikTok social media usage intensity on body image among adolescents in Sulawesi Selatan. In the current digital era, social media, particularly TikTok, has become a popular platform among teenagers, often showcasing visual content that can influence their perceptions of body image. The research method employed is a survey involving 223 adolescents aged 15 to 17 as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire measuring TikTok usage intensity and body image using. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant negative relationship between the intensity of TikTok social media use and body image in adolescents, with a significance value of p = 0.000 or p <0.05. The correlation coefficient of -0.397 or is classified as weak and indicates that the intensity of TikTok use is negatively related to body image. This study can provide a basis for the development of psychology programs that aim to increase awareness and control in the use of social media to maintain a positive body image among adolescents.
