Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to improve students' procedural text writing skills using picture-based writing guidance sheet media in the English learning process. A classroom action research was conducted in two cycles at Nurul Aqsho Islamic Senior High School in Tanjung Jabung Timur. Data collection techniques involved observation, tests, and questionnaires. The results of the study show that the use of picture-based writing guidance sheet media significantly improves students' writing skills. This improvement is evident from the increase in the average scores of students from 51 in the preliminary study to 94.33 in the second cycle. Furthermore, students' responses to this media are also positive. These findings support the use of writing guidance sheet media as an effective tool in teaching procedural text writing in English. Keywords: Learning Media, Writing Guidance Sheet, Writing Skills, Procedure Text, Classroom Action Research, High School.

Abstract

In the school environment, students' attitudes towards teachers and the relationship between them are key factors that influence the effectiveness of learning and the learning situation in the classroom. There are often ethical challenges such as lack of respect for teachers, behavioral disruptions, and poor communication issues between teachers and students. The purpose of the research is to explore the importance of education as an effective instrument, address the ethical challenges that commonly arise in the school environment and provide insight into the role of education in shaping more positive student attitudes by creating a more ethical learning environment. The method that researchers use is to combine a Quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to respondents using the Google Form platform and then sharing them online via the WhatsApp application to analyze and obtain accurate data so as to obtain reliable results. The result of this study is that education plays an important role in overcoming ethical challenges in schools by developing students' character and strengthening positive attitudes towards teachers. Moreover, the strategy that can overcome these problems is communication between teachers and students. The researcher hopes that future researchers will be able to contribute to the ethical challenges in schools more precisely related to students' attitudes towards teachers. In addition, the researcher also hopes that this research can be a foundation for everyone so that they can appreciate how important education is to ethical attitudes, so that it can give birth to a young generation that grows responsibly in society. The researcher also suggests other researchers to further investigate it by focusing more on the character building of students towards teachers as well as investigating more efficient educational programs.

Abstract

This action research focuses on efforts to improve learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Tanggamus, especially for grade I students with special needs. Initial results show that only 20% of students understand the subject matter. This is due to the use of lecture methods without media support that is less effective. Therefore, this study aims to improve learning methods by using a mixed approach, especially through the application of demonstration methods supported by audiovisual media. This method is designed to create a more interactive and engaging learning environment, so that students can more easily understand the material presented. This research was conducted in four cycles, where each cycle showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. At the end of the study, the learning completeness reached 89.5%, far exceeding the initial target. These results show that the use of the demonstration method with audiovisual support is proven to be effective in increasing students' understanding of PAI material while strengthening character education. This research provides practical implications for the development of more innovative teaching strategies in religious education, especially for students with special needs, to ensure they can learn better and more enjoyably.

Abstract

Differentiated learning have become major focuses in efforts to create a more equitable and inclusive educational system. Diagnostic assessment plays a key role in understanding the individual learning needs of students and designing appropriate interventions. However, the implementation of diagnostic assessment in supporting differentiated instruction still faces challenges. This study aims to explore effective strategies in diagnostic assessment and their impact on the learning process and student outcomes. Findings indicate that implementing differentiated instruction using data from diagnostic assessments positively impacts learning and student outcomes. By understanding students' conditions through diagnostic assessment, teachers can determine appropriate follow-up actions in the form of content, process, or product differentiation. The scholarly contribution of this research lies in a deeper understanding of the role of diagnostic assessment in supporting differentiated instruction. However, further studies are needed to broaden the scope of research and analyze the impact of diagnostic assessment implementation in more depth.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to describe the results of applying and improving the ability to understand concepts and anecdotal text information in class XE4 students at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta through the application of the window shopping model to anecdotal text material. The subjects in this research were 33 students in class XE4 of SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. This research was carried out in two cycles with success indicators (1) The percentage of teacher and student activity increased above ≥ 80%, which is included in the very good criteria; (2) Test scores for the ability to understand concepts and anecdotal text information ≥ 70% of students scored ≥ 70; (3) through student responses to the application of the window shopping model ≥ 50%. The data collection technique applied in this research is observation and end-of-cycle test results. Observations were made on the activities of teachers and students when the cycle was implemented. The research results show that the window shopping model can improve the ability to understand concepts and anecdotal text information with learning steps, namely (1) initial activities, (2) core activities including organizing, discussing, conveying results, carrying out window shopping (going around to exchange information), evaluation, and apperception, as well as (3) final activities. This aspect of improvement can be seen from the results of observations of student and teacher activities, field notes, final test results for each cycle which have met the success criteria because they experienced an increase of 21.21%.

Abstract

Life in a pluralistic society requires the formation of noble morals from an early age, especially an attitude of mutual respect for differences. However, moral learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects in elementary schools often experiences obstacles because student learning outcomes, especially in the realm of social attitudes, are still low and have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). This study aims to analyze the application of the Role Playing Learning Model in improving the moral learning outcomes of students in grade Va of SDN 1 Kalipucangkulon Welahan Jepara on the material of mutual respect for differences in the 2024/2025 school year. The research uses a classroom action research (PTK) approach with a spiral design consisting of three stages: pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The subjects of the study were 25 students of class Va. Data were collected through behavioral observation, attitude assessment documentation, and field notes, then analyzed descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively. The results showed an increase in moral learning completeness from 58% in the pre-cycle to 76% in the first cycle, and reached 88% in the second cycle. The application of Role Playing has been shown to be effective in helping students understand moral values contextually through simulation of real social experiences, thus facilitating the internalization and application of an attitude of respect for differences in daily life. These findings make an original contribution to the development of social-emotional experience-based PAI learning strategies, while offering innovative alternatives for teachers in optimizing moral learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Monotonous and less interactive learning often leads to a decrease in student motivation and learning outcomes, especially in memorized subjects such as Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to analyze efforts to improve the learning outcomes of grade V students in Asmaul Husna's material through the application of Wordwall interactive game media. The research uses a classroom action research (PTK) approach with a spiral design consisting of two cycles, involving 28 students of SDN Nongkosawit 01 as subjects. Data collection is carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation of learning outcomes, while data analysis is descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative. The results showed a significant increase in learning completion: in the pre-cycle only 35.71% of students completed (average class 63.17), increased to 57.14% in cycle I (average 68.00), and reached 84.21% in cycle II (average 74.64). These findings prove that the use of Wordwall interactive game media is effective in improving students' understanding and learning outcomes in Asmaul Husna's material. The implications of this research provide practical contributions for teachers in designing innovative, interactive, and fun learning, while enriching the treasures of technology-based learning media development in elementary schools.
