Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning activeness of fourth-grade students. The research problem is how the implementation of the Make a Match cooperative learning model can improve students’ learning activeness in IPAS learning among fourth-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 9 Parepare. This study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which aims to determine the process and results of implementing the Make a Match cooperative learning model to improve students’ learning activeness in IPAS learning in Grade IV. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The subjects of this study consisted of 27 participants, namely one fourth-grade teacher and 26 students. The study was conducted in two cycles. In Cycle I, the research results showed that the learning process was in the fair qualification (C), and students’ learning activeness was in the moderate category. In Cycle II, the research results showed that the learning process was in the good qualification (B), and students’ learning activeness was in the high category. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the Make a Match cooperative learning model can improve the learning process and students’ learning activeness in IPAS learning in Grade IV at UPTD SD Negeri 9 Parepare.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research type and symmetrical design aimed at determining the relationship between two or more variables without any effort to influence these variables. In this study, there are two variables, namely homework habits and Mathematics learning achievement. The sample in this study was the upper grades by taking the entire population, namely 40 students, with 22 fourth-grade students, 8 fifth-grade students, and 10 fifth-grade students. Data collection in this study was in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The analysis techniques used in this study were descriptive analysis, which included mean analysis techniques, percentages, and inferential analysis. The results of this study indicate that students’ homework habits and the learning achievement of upper-grade students of SD Inpres 6/80 Kawerang, Bone Regency are in the good category. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between students’ homework habits and the mathematics learning achievement of upper-grade students of SD Inpres 6/80 Kawerang, Bone Regency, as evidenced by rcount ≥ rtable (0.98 ≥ 0.31) and a sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in elementary schools still faces various challenges, particularly the low learning outcomes of students due to the use of conventional learning methods and the lack of utilization of interactive digital learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the cooperative learning model assisted by Napkin AI media on the PAI learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 03 Balangnipa, North Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research type. The research subjects were all fifth-grade students of SDN 03 Balangnipa in the 2025/2026 academic year, totaling 25 students. The data collection technique used a learning outcomes test in the form of multiple-choice questions given before (pretest) and after (posttest) the implementation of the learning model. The data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test. The results of the study showed that the average score of students’ learning outcomes before the treatment was 50.96, which was in the low category, while after the implementation of the cooperative learning model assisted by Napkin AI media, it increased to 81.80 and was in the high category. The results of the statistical test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect on students’ PAI learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the cooperative learning model assisted by Napkin AI media is effective in improving the Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

The relocation project of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) is a national strategic issue whose meaning continues to be negotiated with the public through mass media. The media act not merely as a mirror of reality, but as a discursive arena capable of producing and reproducing ideology. This study aims to critically investigate the construction of language and ideology in the news text entitled “Phase II of IKN Accelerated, the State Budget Still Becomes the Backbone,” published by the Kompas.com news portal in mid-2025. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study applies Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) framework, which analyzes phenomena through three dimensions: microstructural (text), mesostructural (discursive practice), and macrostructural (sociocultural practice). The results of the textual analysis prove the use of metaphors such as “backbone” as well as passive grammatical structures that obscure the subject of policy makers in order to minimize potential resistance. In the dimension of discourse practice, a dominance of monological narratives was found, referring to the allocation of fantastic figures without presenting counter-discourse from civil society regarding the initial promise of IKN financing. Meanwhile, in the dimension of sociocultural practice, this news represents the hegemony of developmentalism ideology that legitimizes the intervention of State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) funds in order to maintain the sustainability of the megaproject during the political transition period. The conclusion of this study affirms that the journalistic language of online media functions as a state ideological apparatus that rationalizes and normalizes the shift in the financing scheme of the IKN project.

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) is one of the subjects that plays an important role in developing students’ understanding of basic science concepts and the surrounding environment. However, in practice, many students still experience difficulties in understanding the material because IPAS is new material for third-grade students with many new terms in it. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri Pasarbatang 01 on the material of the characteristics of living things through the application of the “Characteristics of Living Things” song media integrated with gamification. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 20 third-grade students as the subjects. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle. The average learning outcome score in the pre-cycle was 60.05 with 30% mastery, increased in Cycle I to 67.25 with 50% mastery, and increased again in Cycle II to 75.25 with 60% mastery. These results prove that the use of song media combined with gamification is able to create more enjoyable, interactive, and effective learning, thereby improving students’ learning outcomes in IPAS subjects in elementary school.

Abstract

This research is a pre-experimental study that aims to determine the effect of the Round Club learning model on improving the IPAS collaboration skills of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 10/73 Bajoe, Bone Regency. The research design used was the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study consisted of all fourth-grade students of SD Inpres 10/73 Bajoe, Bone Regency, with a sample of 25 students selected using saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, namely pretest and posttest questionnaires, to measure students’ collaboration skills before and after the implementation of the Round Club learning model. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average pretest score of students’ collaboration skills was in the fair category with a score of 65.84 and increased in the posttest average score to 73.52, which was in the good category. This increase indicates a change in students’ collaboration skills after the implementation of the Round Club learning model in IPAS learning. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis using the paired samples t-test, the tcount value was 8.418, which was greater than the ttable value of 2.06390 (8.418 > 2.06390), meaning that there was a significant difference in students’ collaboration skills before and after the implementation of the Round Club learning model. Since the posttest average score was higher than the pretest average score and the test results showed a significant difference, it can be concluded that the Round Club learning model has an effect on improving the IPAS collaboration skills of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 10/73 Bajoe, Bone Regency
