Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between physical fitness level and learning interest in PJOK among upper-grade students at SD Negeri 4/82 Pacing. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population of this study consisted of all upper-grade students at SD Negeri 4/82 Pacing, and the sample included all members of the population, namely 21 students, selected using saturated sampling. Data were collected using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test and a learning interest questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that students’ physical fitness level was generally in the moderate category, with a mean score of 17.38. A total of 10 students, or 48%, were in the good category, while 11 students, or 52%, were in the moderate category. Meanwhile, students’ learning interest in PJOK was generally in the high category, with a mean score of 69.43. A total of 11 students, or 52%, were in the high category, 9 students, or 43%, were in the moderate category, and 1 student, or 5%, was in the low category. The Pearson Product Moment correlation test showed a significance value of 0.026 < 0.05, with an r-count value of 0.485 and an r-table value of 0.4329. Since r-count was higher than r-table, the alternative hypothesis was accepted. These findings indicate that there is a significant relationship between physical fitness level and learning interest in PJOK among uppergrade elementary school students, with a moderate level of correlation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, or P5, at SD Negeri 19 Toro, Kecamatan Tanete Riattang Timur, Kabupaten Bone. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants included the principal, homeroom teachers of Grades I, II, IV, and V, and student representatives. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of P5 at SD Negeri 19 Toro had been carried out but was not yet fully optimal. The implementation was analyzed through three main aspects: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, the school had determined project themes, arranged the schedule, formed a facilitator team, and prepared project modules. In the implementation stage, P5 was carried out using a thematic approach and a block system through activities such as gardening, waste recycling, and introducing traditional Bugis food. In the evaluation stage, teachers assessed students’ participation, cooperation, creativity, and project products through observation, reflection, presentation, and documentation. However, several obstacles were found, including the lack of special training for teachers, limited facilities and infrastructure, varied student readiness, and limited parental involvement. Therefore, the implementation of P5 at SD Negeri 19 Toro can be categorized as being in the developing stage. Further improvement is needed in teacher training, project planning, supporting facilities, and parental involvement so that P5 can be implemented more effectively and meaningfully for students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Digital Big Book media on the early reading ability of Grade II students at SD Negeri 41 Mallari, Kabupaten Bone. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research design. The research design applied was the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The independent variable was Digital Big Book media, while the dependent variable was students’ early reading ability. The population of this study consisted of all Grade II students at SD Negeri 41 Mallari, and the sample included 19 students selected using saturated sampling. Data were collected through an early reading ability test administered before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results showed that students’ pretest mean score was 48.68, which was categorized as fair. After three learning sessions using Digital Big Book media, the posttest mean score increased to 73.68, which was categorized as good. The normality test showed that the pretest and posttest data were normally distributed, while the homogeneity test showed that the data had homogeneous variance. The paired sample t-test showed that the tcount value was 16.882, which was higher than the t-table value of 1.73406. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis was accepted and the null hypothesis was rejected. These findings indicate that the use of Digital Big Book media has a significant effect on improving students’ early reading ability. Thus, Digital Big Book media can be used as an alternative learning medium to make early reading instruction more attractive, interactive, and meaningful for lowergrade elementary school students.
