Abstract

Teachers' perceptions of creativity are an important key to understanding the creative process in the classroom. This study investigated differences in perceptions of creativity and potential for creativity between 59 special education teachers and 58 general education teachers. The Teacher Perceptions of Student Characteristics Survey was used to examine teachers' perceptions of their own creativity and of their desire for creativity-related traits among their students. The results showed that although teachers in both study groups considered themselves to have high levels of creativity and considered creativity to be the most important educational goal, most teachers preferred less creative characteristics among their students. This finding also highlights the differences between general education teachers and special education teachers in their perceptions of creativity and creative abilities. Finally, this study further assessed the contribution of teachers' background characteristics and their level of creativity to the overall ratings of desirable traits associated with creativity and traits that are contrary to creativity among their students.

Abstract

This study critically evaluates the effectiveness and applicability of the ISO 21001:2018 standard as a framework for quality assurance in higher education institutions. The research aims to examine how the standard’s principles such as organizational context, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and continual improvement are implemented and adapted to the unique characteristics of higher education. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes empirical findings from institutional documentation, interviews with quality managers, and secondary literature related to educational management systems. Results reveal that ISO 21001:2018 provides a structured and globally recognized model for enhancing educational quality through data-driven decision-making, risk-based thinking, and stakeholder-centered management. However, its full applicability is challenged by contextual factors such as institutional autonomy, cultural diversity, and resource disparities across universities. Despite these limitations, the study concludes that ISO 21001:2018 remains a valuable tool for promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within academic institutions, provided that its implementation is contextualized to align with higher education governance and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Teachers as class supervisors are required to have insight and creativity in their respective fields, so a teacher must be able to create interactions in the teaching and learning process. Creating interactions in the classroom is influenced by the existence of a method in learning. This shows how important a method is in the teaching and learning process. Of the many methods available, one of them is the discussion method, a method that emphasizes active interaction between students and teachers or between students themselves. To solve problems, exchange ideas, and achieve shared understanding. Seeing this, the author is interested in raising this problem into a study. The goal is to determine the application of the discussion method in increasing the enthusiasm for learning of grade IX students in the subject of Islamic cultural history, a case study at MTS Nurul Iman. This study departs from the results of observations, if the application of the discussion method in learning Islamic cultural history is applied more frequently to students, then the enthusiasm for learning in students can increase. With the application of the discussion method in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among elementary school teachers within the context of Indonesia’s Independent Learning (Merdeka Belajar) policy by examining the roles of transformational leadership and self-efficacy. Using a quantitative research design with a path analysis approach, data were collected from 173 certified civil servant teachers in accredited “A” public elementary schools across Depok City, West Java, through proportional random sampling and structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with SPSS 22 to test the hypothesized relationships among variables. The results show that transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on OCB (sig = 0.107 α = 0.05), while self-efficacy does not show a significant influence (sig = 0.884 α = 0.05). These findings indicate that school principals’ visionary and inspirational leadership behaviors enhance teachers’ willingness to engage in voluntary and collaborative actions beyond formal job requirements, a critical factor for advancing educational quality in the Independent Learning era. The study concludes that strengthening transformational leadership practices and cultivating teachers’ professional self-efficacy through continuous training and supportive work environments are essential strategies to sustain a high level of OCB and foster a positive, innovative school culture.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the e-Pusdik Information System and its impact on the quality of educational services at the Center for Pancasila and Constitutional Education (Pusdik Pancasila dan Konstitusi). The research employs a quantitative descriptive method using the Human–Organization–Technology Fit (HOT-Fit) model, which assesses the interrelationship between technological quality, user satisfaction, and organizational support in determining system effectiveness. Data were collected from educators, administrative staff, and system users through structured questionnaires and interviews to measure system reliability, service accessibility, and user responsiveness. Statistical analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential techniques to evaluate correlations among variables representing system quality, information quality, service quality, and overall performance. The results indicate that the e-Pusdik system has been effectively implemented in supporting academic administration and learning management, although several aspects—such as data integration, user training, and interface efficiency—require continuous improvement. The study concludes that the success of e-Pusdik implementation depends not only on technological adequacy but also on user competence and institutional readiness to adopt digital transformation practices in education management. These findings highlight the importance of aligning technological innovation with organizational capacity to achieve sustainable quality improvement in educational institutions.

Abstract

The Education Management Information System (EMIS) plays a vital role in improving the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of data management within educational institutions. As a centralized and integrated data platform, EMIS serves as a foundation for data collection, validation, and analysis to support evidence-based decision-making in education management. This study aims to examine the conceptual framework and urgency of implementing EMIS as a strategic tool for managing institutional data within the context of Islamic education under Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs. Using a qualitative research approach through a systematic literature review, this study synthesizes findings from books, policy documents, and journal articles on the development, functions, and challenges of EMIS implementation. The results show that EMIS functions as a single data gateway that consolidates institutional, academic, financial, and human resource information from various levels of education, including Raudhatul Athfal (preschool), Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (elementary), Madrasah Tsanawiyah (junior secondary), and Madrasah Aliyah (senior secondary). The use of EMIS facilitates faster, more accurate, and verifiable data processing, thus enhancing administrative performance and the quality of decision-making. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the legal and institutional framework supporting EMIS, including national regulations on data transparency and public information management. The research concludes that integrating EMIS into educational governance can promote data-driven policies, ensure accountability, and strengthen the overall management of Islamic educational institutions. This finding underscores the importance of advancing digital literacy, human resources, and system interoperability to optimize EMIS as a sustainable educational data management tool.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of educational quality through the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles in schools within the framework of Indonesia’s Deep Learning-Based National Curriculum (Kurnas). The research investigates how continuous improvement, stakeholder involvement, and data-driven decision-making—core components of TQM—can enhance teaching effectiveness, institutional performance, and student learning outcomes. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews with school leaders and teachers implementing TQM practices in Bogor City vocational schools. The findings reveal that applying TQM fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation, aligning institutional processes with the principles of the national curriculum and deep learning pedagogy. The integration of deep learning approaches—emphasizing critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving—complements TQM’s systematic improvement cycle, resulting in more adaptive and responsive school management. However, the study also identifies challenges related to leadership consistency, teacher readiness, and digital resource constraints. Overall, the research concludes that combining TQM and deep learning within the national curriculum framework represents a strategic pathway toward sustainable educational quality transformation, bridging managerial excellence with pedagogical innovation.
