Abstract

Principals as school leaders are a contributing factor to success in efforts to strengthen governance, accountability, and public image. This success cannot be separated from competence and ability in their duties, roles and functions. Providing excellent service to all school members, optimizing the empowerment and development of school residents, focusing on performance and growth and impact for school progress and for the community, this leadership is called servant leadership. This study aims to produce a model of strengthening service leadership in the form of a constellation model of influence between variables and their mathematical model. From this model, a research hypothesis is derived which will then be tested using path analysis at the quantitative research stage. The research begins by interviewing informants who are considered competent in providing the expected answers. Furthermore, data reduction, data codification, data display, data analysis, and conclusion drawing were carried out. The research was carried out at the Bogor Regency Private Vocational School in the period October to December 2020. From the research conducted, several variables are thought to have positive and dominant influence on service leadership, namely adversity intelligence, proactive personality, teamwork as exogenous variables, organizational commitment, and work motivation as intervening variables.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) quality management cycle in Quranic learning using the UMMI Method at An-Nahl Islamic Kindergarten in Tangerang, Indonesia. The research aims to analyze how the PDCA model contributes to improving the quality of Quran learning through structured planning, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Employing a qualitative descriptive design with case study and triangulated data collection techniques—observation, interviews, and documentation—the study explores each PDCA phase: planning (curriculum and method selection), doing (teacher training and instructional implementation), checking (performance monitoring and student achievement evaluation), and acting (continuous improvement based on assessment results). Findings reveal that the integration of PDCA with the UMMI method significantly enhances teaching effectiveness, student engagement, and memorization performance of short Quranic chapters. The approach also improves teacher competency through standardized certification and supervision by the UMMI Foundation. The study concludes that combining PDCA and the UMMI method provides a sustainable framework for quality assurance in Islamic education by fostering systematic planning, accountability, and continuous pedagogical improvement, contributing to the development of a Qur’an-literate and spiritually strong generation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning so that it is not only oriented toward knowledge but also able to foster students’ critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative skills. The purpose of this study is to optimize Islamic Religious Education learning through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method. The research method used is a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers, student affairs teachers, and seventh-grade female students at Pesantren Modern Daarul Muttaqien 2 Tangerang. The results of the study show effective outcomes, where the PAI teacher successfully created a more active, collaborative, and contextual learning environment. The implementation of the Problem Based Learning method helps students understand religious material through an approach focused on solving problems relevant to their daily lives, making the learning process more meaningful and engaging. The teacher acts as a facilitator who guides students in finding solutions to problems related to the subject matter, thereby making learning more meaningful. The application of Problem-Based Learning in PAI for seventh-grade female students has proven to enhance the quality of the learning process while providing a more contextual and in-depth learning experience, in line with the objectives of Islamic education in pesantren.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement Treasure Kids Smart (TKS), a game-based learning media developed to enhance the numeracy performance of primary school students. The research was motivated by the need to improve arithmetic competence and learning engagement among fifth-grade learners at SDN Cikokol III, Tangerang, through interactive and technology-driven instruction. Using the Research and Development (R&D) approach adapted from the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the study systematically developed the TKS media combining educational content, visual storytelling, and gamification principles to foster problem-solving and computational thinking. Data were collected through expert validation, pre-test and post-test assessments, and user feedback questionnaires to measure both the effectiveness and feasibility of the media. The results indicate that TKS effectively improved students’ numeracy skills, reflected in a significant increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test results (gain score = 0.47, moderate category), as well as high user satisfaction ratings from both teachers and students (average validity score = 92%). The findings suggest that integrating digital game-based learning into mathematics education promotes engagement, motivation, and conceptual understanding, making TKS a viable innovation for enhancing numeracy learning in Indonesian primary schools.
