Abstract

Teachers' efforts in overcoming the use of regional languages ​​in the Indonesian Language subject for grade III at MIS Zadil Maad Aloindonu School. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts of teachers in overcoming the use of regional languages ​​in the Indonesian Language subject for grade III at MIS Zadil Maad Aloindonu. Teachers' efforts in overcoming the use of regional languages ​​in the Indonesian Language subject for grade III at MIS Zadil Maad Aloindonu and to find out what inhibiting factors the school faced in overcoming the use of regional languages ​​in grade III at MIS Zadil Maad Aloindonu. Using a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study were the principal, Indonesian Language teachers and students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation with analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data display. The verbal rules made by the principal of MIS Zadil Maad Aloindonu reprimand students and teachers if they always use Indonesian at school or in learning, the principal also began to implement the use of Indonesian in the school environment, especially in learning and giving authority to each teacher and each homeroom teacher to make rules and punishments for students who use regional languages ​​too much at school or in learning ". The efforts of Indonesian language teachers are in the form of advising students, but the most prominent punishment is paying a fine because it can be seen from the fine that students feel they have lost money and try to use Indonesian. Inhibiting factors for the use of Indonesian in Indonesian language subjects. internal and external factors, where these internal factors come from within students that affect the intellectual capacity and interests and desires of the students themselves. While external factors are factors from the environment such as family and playmates.

Abstract

This study aims to describe ethnomathematics in the traditional games of the Aloindonu community and to find out how to integrate ethnomathematics in traditional games in mathematics learning in Aloindonu, Alor Regency. This research is very important to be carried out so that the generation in Aloindonu village does not forget traditional games which are local cultural heritage caused by modernization. This study uses a field research method approach or field research. The presence of the author as the main instrument in conducting observations in the village of Alila Selatan, the main objective is to observe and document the types of traditional games that are still played by children directly. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques start from the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that traditional games such as Tibo' Afele (wood pry) contain elements of calculation, comparison, measurement and geometry. Hey Do' (jump rope) contains the concept of pattern measurement, geometry and calculation. Do' (senje) contains elements of measurement, pattern, and measurement. Gundu/marbles (Kuti Pot) contain aspects of counting, patterns, measurement, and geometry. And bekel balls (Loga) contain elements of calculation, patterns, measurement, and geometry. The results of this finding explain that traditional games found in Aloindonu village have relevant potential. In order to be used as an effective learning medium, this approach aims to make mathematical concepts more real and significant for students, while supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum which emphasizes environment-based learning and the preservation of local wisdom.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine and describe two main things, namely (1) the role of teachers in the formation of civic character of fourth-grade students at the UPTD SD Negeri Dulolong, Alor Barat Laut District, Alor Regency, and (2) the driving and inhibiting factors that influence teachers in forming the civic character of students at the school. The researcher was also guided directly by two supervising lecturers, namely Mr. (Sudarto Lukman Lema) as supervisor I and Mr. (Rusmin Mulyadin Tut) as supervisor II. Based on the background of this study, it is based on the importance of civic character education at the elementary school level as an effort to form a generation with character, love for the homeland, responsibility, and ability to live in society according to national values. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The research subjects consisted of fourth-grade teachers, students, and parents of students. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the role of teachers in the formation of civic character in students at the UPTD SD Negeri Dulolong includes the role of facilitator, guide, motivator, and role model. Teachers not only teach civics material, but also foster students through exemplary attitudes, habits, and character building in the school environment. In addition, this study also found that the driving factors that influence the success of teachers in forming civic character in students include student enthusiasm, parental support, cooperation between school parties, the availability of infrastructure, a conducive school environment, and a curriculum that supports civic values. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include the lack of involvement of some parents at home, low discipline of some students, and limited facilities to support character activities at school. Thus, the success of the formation of civic character in students at this school is influenced by the integration of various driving factors, the ability of teachers to carry out their roles optimally, and the school's strategy in overcoming various obstacles faced. Abstract

Rahmayani Samma.2025. "Analysis of Differentiated Learning Using the Team Games Tournament Learning Model in Science Subjects in Grade V of GMIT 25 Fanating Elementary School." This study uses a qualitative research method, because the researcher wants to describe a phenomenon according to the actual conditions experienced by the research subjects and present the data in the form of words. The purpose of the researcher in choosing this type of research is because the researcher wants to examine the condition of the natural object based on the results of observations, interviews, and documentation with the researcher himself as the key instrument. The results of this study are: (1) Analysis of Differentiated Learning Using the Team Games Tournament Learning Model in learning I and II has gone well, the implementation of Science I learning was carried out by the homeroom teacher of grade V while learning II was carried out by the researcher. In the implementation of learning I, the class teacher only applies the same learning repeatedly in each meeting which makes some students not understand the learning, and are slow in responding to learning so that the researcher applies the Team Games Tournament learning model, by implementing it, students are very interested, motivated, and enthusiastic in carrying out learning (2) Supporting factors and inhibiting factors for teachers in differentiated learning using the Team Games Tournament Learning Model in Science Subjects in Class V of GMIT 25 Fanating Elementary School, among the supporting factors are: Support from the Education Office and the School, which is expected to help and facilitate class teachers and subject teachers in implementing differentiated learning. While the inhibiting factors are: some class and subject teachers have not optimally understood the flow of learning objectives of the independent learning curriculum. and the lack of learning facilities and infrastructure that make teachers only adjust their learning to conditions in the classroom.

Abstract

Based on observations made by researchers on June 14, 2024, information was obtained from Mr. Sumanri Sabar as the homeroom teacher of class IV MIN 2 Alor that MIN 2 Alor uses the 2013 curriculum. What was obtained was about the learning problems obtained from 20 students who did not complete, including: lack of a supportive physical environment such as: a). learning facilities and infrastructure, learning resources, b). The social environment concerns the relationship between students and their friends and students with their teachers. c). The academic environment is the school atmosphere and the implementation of teaching and learning activities and various curricular activities. ?" The research conducted by the researcher is a quantitative model study, with a sample of 26 fourth-grade students, the data collection methods used are questionnaires, observation and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses Product Moment correlation. Furthermore, based on hypothesis testing using the Product Moment formula, the value of r count is 0.436, and after consultation with a significance level of 5% with a standard deviation of dk n = 24, it shows that the results at a significance level of 5% are 0.404. Thus, it can be seen that r count (0.176) > r table (0.404).

Abstract

Abstract: Lutfia Tika Dewi Ahmad. "Teachers’ Efforts to Increase Students’ Reading Interest in Indonesian Language Learning for Grade III at UPTD SD Negeri Dulolong, Alor Barat Laut District, Alor Regency." This study aims (1) to investigate the efforts made by the classroom teacher to increase reading interest in Indonesian language learning for Grade III students at SD Negeri Dulolong, and (2) to identify the factors influencing students’ reading interest in the subject. This research employed a descriptive method with a field study design. The research questions were: (1) How does the classroom teacher enhance reading interest in Indonesian language learning for Grade III students at SD Negeri Dulolong? (2) What factors influence students’ reading interest in this learning context? The researcher acted as the key instrument, with data collected through triangulation techniques, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects were the classroom teacher and Grade III students, with the study conducted over two months, from December 2024 to January 2025. Primary data were obtained directly from the teacher and students, while secondary data consisted of official documents, books, and reports. Using a qualitative approach, the study found that the teacher implemented various strategies to foster reading interest, such as creating an attractive reading corner in the classroom, fostering an enjoyable learning atmosphere, employing engaging media and teaching methods, and encouraging students to read before lessons. Parental involvement and the availability of relevant reading materials also played a supporting role. These efforts contributed to an increase in students’ reading interest, positively affecting their comprehension of Indonesian language materials. Factors influencing reading interest included internal factors—such as motivation (a strong desire to read for information, knowledge, or entertainment) and reading skills (the ability to understand and enjoy written texts)—and external factors, including the family environment (parental support in providing books, encouraging reading, and creating a supportive atmosphere) and the school environment (the teacher’s role in teaching reading skills and organizing engaging reading activities). However, certain conditions within these factors could also lead to a decline in students’ reading interest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) model using question card media in the teaching of Science and Social Studies (IPAS) for fourth-grade students at SD Inpres Awaalah, Alor Barat Laut District, during the 2024/2025 academic year. The TPS model was chosen as it involves individual thinking, paired discussion, and group sharing, which are considered effective in enhancing students active participation and conceptual understanding. The use of question card served as an engaging tool to support interactive learning. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the application of the TPS model with question card media improved student engagement, reinforced subject comprehension, and encouraged collaboration among students. Teachers also responded positively to this model as it fostered a more collaborative and effective learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the role of teachers in developing fourth-grade students at Dulolong Barat Public Elementary School, Alor Barat Laut District, Alor Regency, and (2) determine the obstacles faced by teachers in developing fourth-grade students at Dulolong Barat Public Elementary School, Alor Barat Laut District, Alor Regency. The method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers act as role models, guides, facilitators, and controllers in shaping students' character, especially the values of discipline, responsibility, honesty, and cooperation. Character formation efforts are carried out through positive habits, role models, and reinforcement of values in the learning process. However, teachers also face obstacles such as students' unsupportive family backgrounds and limited time. In conclusion, the role of teachers is very important in developing students' character, and requires support from parents and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Improving Learning Outcomes in Fractions Through the Application of Fraction Card Media in Grade IV Students of MIS Nurul Misbah Bombaru, Tribur Village, South Abad District for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Andriyani T. Lehidonu, 211530281035 This research, conducted by Andriyani T. Lehidonu, utilized a Classroom Action Research method to improve student learning outcomes in fractions. The subjects were 9 students from Grade IV MIS Nurul Misbah Bombaru, with an individual Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) of 75 for mathematics.Data was collected using observation sheets for teacher and student activities, as well as test results. The data analysis technique used a percentage formula. The research findings show that: In Cycle I: Teacher activity reached 66.6%, and student activity was also 66.6%. In Cycle II: Teacher activity increased to 83%, and student activity significantly improved to 95%.This study demonstrates that the application of fraction card media led to an increase in teacher activity, student activity, and learning outcomes. Initially, in Cycle I, although the media was used, the teacher's teaching method still needed improvement in classroom management and motivation. This resulted in low student participation and a failure to achieve learning mastery. The classic mastery percentage was only 33.3%, with an average score of 66.4, and only 3 out of 12 students reaching the KKM. This figure was well below both the individual KKM (75) and the classical KKM (80%).However, after the teacher made improvements in Cycle II, such as more actively controlling group discussions, asking sequential questions, and providing appreciation, the media successfully stimulated students' thought processes. This made them more active and independent in learning and significantly improved their understanding of simple fraction comparisons. As a result, the students' average score sharply increased to 88.9, and the student learning mastery percentage reached 79.4%. The number of students who achieved the KKM increased to 8. Abstract

The Effect of Canva Application-Based Learning Media on Student Learning Motivation in Fifth Grade Science at GMIT 004 Lawahing Elementary School, Mutiara District, Alor Regency, in the 2024/2025 Academic Year The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Canva Application-Based Learning Media on Fifth Grade Science at GMIT 004 Lawahing Elementary School. The research method used was quantitative with an experimental approach. The results showed a significant difference in the post-test results between the control class and the experimental class, with average scores of 26.25 and 36.86, respectively. Furthermore, the average t-test results were also greater than the t-table value, which was 8.13 and 2.41, respectively. Therefore, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted.
