Abstract

Science learning tends to memorize more and sometimes does not use media. Less interesting learning often makes students feel bored and even students have no interest in developing an attitude of curiosity. The learning style that fits the characteristics of fifth grade students is visual because students prefer and are interested in pictures or illustrations. The KOKODIFLA learning media is in the form of media that is collaborated between digital comics and flashcards which contain material on the human respiratory system. This study aims to train students' understanding of concepts by using the week experimental research method of the one shot case type through pre-tests and post-tests. This research was conducted in a school located in Sumedang Regency, West Java. Based on the results of the study, the translation aspect with a gain score of 0.36 was drawn low, interpretation with a gain score of 0.67 was moderate and extrapolation 0.92 was considered high. Thus it can be concluded that the translation aspect is lower than the interpretation and extrapolation aspect in students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

Recent studies showed that salinity concentration of the injected water is more important factor rather than the amount of water injected. The objectives of this study are to analyse the effect of salinity and its behaviour in waterflooding and calculating the recovery factor of the oil produced in sandtone reservoir condition. This study focuses on analysing the effect of salinity to its recovery factor, relative permeability, breakthrough time and water cut of the oil-water system. Laboratory experiment had been carried out to determine the recovery factor by using sandstone core with the dimension length and diameter of 3 in and 1.5 in, respectively. Sodium Chloride (NaCl) was used to control the salinity concentration in waterflooding with range of 1,000 ppm to 14,000 ppm. The experiment was run with constant flow rate, pressure and temperature. In this experiment, deionized water with varied salinity and paraffin oil were used to perform the waterflooding procedure. Based on the results obtained, the highest total oil recovery by waterflooding was 57.8% with 4,000 ppm as the optimum salinity, which is 14.6% higher than oil recovered by 14,000 ppm. The results also showed the change in end-point value of relative permeability. It also showed that water cut tend to increase as the salinity increase, while breakthrough time tend to decrease as the salinity increase.

Abstract

The study aims to increase the relative contribution of science learning to the achievement of national education goals. Internalizing the value of monotheism in scientific material will not reduce the level of scientific scholarship itself. This research is a qualitative study that is a literature study (library research) that uses books and other literature as the main object. In fact, these studies can improve the quality of science material. Science as a means to develop cognitive potential, science can also grow the potential of conscience (affective). This scientific material will be able to instill confidence in everything that exists in nature. Everything that is essentially created by God, Almighty God. This belief can drive against beliefs about submission, characteristics, and order of things that Allah created (sunnatullah), so that humans can learn them. All this will enable the growth of a positive attitude, the awe of the greatness, power, and love of God, a motivation to give thanks, increase faith and devotion to Allah Almighty. Internalization of the value of monotheism in science material can be done through the disclosure of values/wisdom/meaning/nature of the scientific material based on Islamic values

Abstract

Traditional learning media tends to have limitations in providing interactive experiences that can stimulate better understanding. This is supported by changes in learning styles among students, influenced by extensive exposure to computers and the internet, leading students to prefer learning with the aid of visualizations. This research designs, develops, and tests a machine learning-based visualization tool integrated with the Streamlit framework to enhance students' understanding of the mechanical properties of materials. This visualization tool consists of four main features: data analysis, correlation analysis, 3D visualization, and prediction models using machine learning. The data used for training the machine learning model includes tensile test data of low-alloy steel, comprising mechanical properties, chemical elements, and heat treatment temperatures. The research results indicate that the visualization tool can illustrate the cause-and-effect relationships of parameters influencing the changes in the mechanical properties of low-alloy steel. Each feature in this visualization tool can be utilized to support the analysis of mechanical properties and improve students' understanding of material mechanical properties. Additionally, the visualization tool is evaluated by experts, with information accuracy scoring 4 in the good category, visualization quality at 4.25 in the good category, suitability for learning at 4 in the good category, and ease of use at 4.5 in the good category.
