Abstract

Pada survey pendahuluan yang telah dilakukan di kelas, siswa memiliki pengetahuan kognitif dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal yang telah ditetapkan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 24 Bandar Lampung melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan  Pendekatan Saintifik . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas  VIIIA SMP Negeri 24 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 32 peserta didik dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling. Data yang diperlukan diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan tes menggunakan soal-soal tes. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis deskriptif setelah penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan scientific approach ditunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Data hasil penelitian pada aktivitas belajar peserta didik menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dari pra penelitian yaitu  43,75% meningkat menjadi 78,13%, sedangkan pada hasil belajar peserta didik menunjukkan peningkatan dari  66,25 %  menjadi 78,13 %., sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbasis pendekatan saintifik dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA di Kelas VIIIA  SMP Negeri 24  Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 In the preliminary survey that has been done in class, students have cognitive knowledge under the Minimum Completion Criteria set by the school. This study aims to improve the activities and learning outcomes of science students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri 24 Bandar Lampung through the application of the Discovery Learning model with the Scientific Approach. This research used quasi experiment research method. The research subjects in this study were students of class VIIIA SMP Negeri 24 Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2017/2018 with a total of 32 students with a cluster random sampling technique. The required data is obtained through observation, documentation and tests using test questions. The collected data was analyzed by qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of the descriptive analysis after the application of discovery learning models with the scientific approach showed an increase in activity and learning outcomes of students. Data from research results on student learning activities showed an increase from pre-study, namely 43.75%, increased to 78.13%, while the learning outcomes of students showed an increase from 66.25% to 78.13%, so that it was concluded that Discovery Learning model based on scientific approach can improve the activities and learning outcomes of students in science learning in Class VIIIA Public Middle School 24 Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2017/2018

Abstract

Student worksheets are a learning tool that plays an important role in learning, but in schools have not used student worksheets in learning. This study aims to reveal (1) how the characteristics of student worksheets based on Problem Based Instruction models on environmental pollution material (2) how the feasibility of student worksheets based on Problem Based Instruction models on environmental pollution material (3) how practicality of student worksheets based on Problem Based Instruction models on environmental pollution material. Research refers to the Borg and Gall development model to the seventh stage, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, product revision. The research instruments used in data collection were interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The data obtained were then analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The characteristics of student worksheets teaching materials developed using the Problem Based Instruction model on environmental pollution materials are arranged systematically, interestingly, and clearly. Students can learn independently; the developed student worksheets does not depend on other media, and students can interact directly with the environment. Based on the feasibility trial student worksheets is in the "Very feasible" category. Material experts with grades X≥ 33 categories are very feasible, media experts X≥ 45 categories are very feasible, linguists X≥ 18 categories are very feasible, expert practitioners X≥ 42 categories are very feasible, and students' responses X≥ 33 categories are efficient. The results obtained can be concluded that the developed student worksheets meets the very feasible category, so it is suitable for use.

Abstract

Local context-based science learning is an effective approach to improve students relevance and understanding. This research aims to reconstruct local knowledge of coastal communities related to the process of making palm sugar as a source of science learning. The research method uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and scientific literature reviews. Furthermore, the data were analyzed through triangulation to produce a scientific interpretation of the traditional practice. The results of the study indicate that the process of making palm sugar reflects the principles of sustainability, utilization of renewable energy, and natural preservation. In addition, the integration of science concepts with business and conservation aspects enriches the relevance of learning for students. It can be concluded that the reconstruction of local knowledge is able to support the preservation of local culture and ecosystems while increasing students understanding of applicable science. The contribution of this study to science is to create a sustainable learning approach, relevant to everyday life, and support the preservation of local wisdom in modern education. This integration provides new opportunities to improve scientific literacy in coastal areas by harmoniously connecting traditional knowledge and science.

Abstract

At this time, education in Indonesia has entered the 21st century, which requires students to have 21st century skills, one of which is problem-solving skills (PSS). PSS is needed in life so that students can solve their problems appropriately, effectively, and efficiently. One way to increase students' PSS is to use varied and innovative learning models, such as problem-based learning (PBL). This research is an SLR study that aims to find out whether PBL can affect the increase in student PSS. The methodology in this study included identifying objectives by creating research questions, drafting implementation for the writing team, screening inclusion, searching for literature/ references, taking the essence of selected articles, screening exclusions, conducting synthesis, and writing studies. This study used one database, namely SCOPUS, with a total of 167 articles in the time period from 2013 – 2022. Then, these 167 articles were filtered by inclusion and exclusion so that 69 articles were obtained that were worthy of review. The results of the review of 69 articles can be presented as follows: (1) Indonesia is the country that has conducted the most research on the effect of PBL on PSS; (2) The fields of study involved in this research are very varied, but mathematics and health dominate the most; (3) The research objects involved also vary with the level of student education that dominates; (4) The general result of this study is that PBL can increase students' PSS, although there are several studies that contradict these results; (5) The learning model used is PBL, which has been combined with other learning models that are more innovative and creative. The conclusion of this study is that PBL can increase students' PSS.

Abstract

In the education quality survey issued by the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment),Indonesia is ranked 72nd out of 77 countries. The Teacher Competency Test (UKG) results in Indonesiaare still low and still far from being targeted by the government, especially in Aceh province Aceh at thenational level is still heartbreaking by being the second lowest in Indonesia. Seeing the problems faced byeducation in Indonesia, to improve the quality of education, the quality of teachers must be improvedfirst, one of which is by increasing the pedagogical competence of teachers. This study aims to know thepedagogical knowledge of physics teachers in SMA Negeri Lhokseumawe which includes aspects oflearning planning, aspects of learning methods and aspects of learning evaluation. The research wasconducted in the form of a survey with the population of this study was to take the entire physics subjectteachers at SMA Negeri Lhokseumawe, totaling 7 (seven) schools with 28 physics teachers. The samples inthis study were 3 schools that were taken by simple random sampling, namely 8 physics teachers at SMANegeri 2 Lhokseumawe, 3 physics teachers at SMA Negeri 5 Lhokseumawe, and SMA Negeri 7Lhokseumawe with 2 physics teachers. The results showed that the physics teacher's knowledge on thelearning planning aspect was in the category of having good knowledge, meanwhile the physics teacher'sknowledge on the learning method aspect already had a fairly good knowledge, while the physics teacher'sknowledge on the learning evaluation aspect also had fairly good knowledge. So it can be concluded thatphysics teachers in the pedagogical aspect are in a fairly good category, meaning that most physics teachersalready have a pretty good knowledge of pedagogical aspects.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, kebutuhan akan plastik atau barang-barang berbahan plastik terus meningkat dan akan meningkat setiap waktunya, kenaikan untuk sampai sekarang mencapai rata-rata 200 ton pertahun. Tahun 2002, tercatat 1,9 juta ton, tahun 2003 naik menjadi 2,1 ton, sampai pada tahun 2011 sudah meningkat menjadi 2,6 juta ton, dan akan terus meningkat pada setiap tahunnya. Selain itu mata kuliah ilmu lingkungan di Prodi IPA IAIN Bengkulu belum mencakup kegiatan yang mengurangi permasalahan sampah. Tujuan peneltian ini adalah Mengetahui cara menkonversi sampah plastik menjadi bahan bakar minyak (BBM) dengan diteruskan membuat alat sederhana untuk menkonversi sampah plastik menjadi bahan bakar minyak (BBM), kemudian diaplikasikan sebagai bahan ajar mata kuliah Ilmu Lingkungan Prodi IPA IAIN Bengkulu. pengembangan modul ilmu lingkungan materi pencemaran lingkungan sudah layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Lingkungan ini dibuktikan dengan jumlah nilai kevalidan 58,25 dengan rata-rata 3,42. Berdasarkan hasil tes evaluasi dan hasil respon mahasiswa pada angket yang telah diberikan, dapat diperoleh suatu kesimpulan bahwa modul hasil pengembangan ini efektif digunakan sebagai bahan ajar ilmu lingkungan materi pencemaran lingkungan pada Prodi Tadris IPA Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Tadris IAIN Bengkulu, dengan dibuktikan nilai mahasiswa baik pada tes tahap pertama maupun pada tahap kedua berada dalam kriteria baik sampai sangat baik (B-A), pada tes tahap pertama didapat rata-rata nilai 80, sedangkan pada tahap kedua didapat rata-rata nilai 81,7. In Indonesia, the need for plastic or plastic goods continues to increase and will increase every time, the increase to date has reached an average of 200 tons per year. In 2002, it was recorded at 1.9 million tons, in 2003 it rose to 2.1 tons, until 2011 it had increased to 2.6 million tons, and would continue to increase every year. In addition, the environmental science courses at the IAIN Bengkulu Science Study Program did not include activities that reduce waste problems. The purpose of this research is to find out how to convert plastic waste into fuel oil (BBM) by continuing to make a simple tool to convert plastic waste into fuel oil (BBM), then applied as teaching material for Environmental Sciences IAIN Bengkulu Science Study Program. the development of environmental science modules on environmental pollution material is feasible to be used in learning Environmental Sciences. this is evidenced by the number of valid values 58.25 with an average of 3.42. Based on the results of the evaluation test and the results of student responses to the questionnaire that has been given, it can be concluded that the development module is effectively used as an environmental science teaching material for environmental pollution at the Science and Technology Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Tadris IAIN Bengkulu. the first and second stage tests are in the criteria of good to very good (BA), on the first stage the average score is 80, while in the second stage the average score is 81.7

Abstract

Students’ scientific literacy is very important to determine the extent to which students are literate aboutthe scientific concepts that have been learned. Therefore, prospective physics teacher students mustmaster scientific literacy to solve various problems from the real world as individuals and must interact insociety and the environment as social beings. The purpose of this study was to analyze the scientificliteracy skills of students of the 2019 class of physics education study program on chapter heat andtemperature. This type of research used to achieve these objectives is descriptive qualitative withqualitative analysis. The subjects in this study were Lecturers in the basic physics course I and students ofthe 2019 class of physics education study program at Universitas Cenderawasih. Data collectiontechniques used in this study were tests, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research fromthe test instrument showed that the scientific literacy skills of physics education students class 2019 werestill low. The results of the interviews strengthen the findings that there are still many physics educationstudents of 2019 who do not have scientific literacy skills of concepts on chapter heat and temperature.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa melalui model kooperatif think talk write berbantuan media leaflet pada materi perubahan lingkungan kelas X MIA 3 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan dua kali pertemuan. Setiap siklusnya terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa, lembar observasi proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah siswa dengan kategori aktif pada siklus I sebesar 60,61% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 75,76%. Persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 75,76% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 87,88%. Persentase proses pembelajaran siklus I sebesar 94.44% dengan kategori baik dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 100% dengan kategori baik. Secara keseluruhan pembelajaran kooperatif think talk write berbantuanleaflet dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan di kelas X MIA 3 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak.

Abstract

Online thesis guidance is an obstacle faced by students majoring in physics education, FKIP USK. This qualitative descriptive study aims to find out what difficulties affect the student learning process through online learning for Physics Education students. The sample in this study were all Physics Education students who carried out online learning, totaling 54 respondents. Data collection was obtained by using a questionnaire to determine learning difficulties in the online learning process. The data analysis technique used to determine the percentage of learning difficulties is sorting the data according to research indicators including internal factors, namely physical and psychological barriers, external factors, namely barriers to educators (lecturers), facilities, families, and extracurriculars. The results of data analysis showed that learning difficulties with percentages were physical barriers (61.1%), psychological barriers (56.7%), educators (lecturers) (58.7%), facilities (53.6%) ), family (49.7%), and extracurricular (47.4%). So it can be concluded that the main factor that affects the difficulty in the learning process is internal physical barriers

Abstract

Problem solving  adalah metode belajar di mana siswa dilatih memiliki kemampuan merumuskan permasalahan yang kompleks dan membuat sejumlah solusi untuk kemudian merefleksikan solusi tersebut dari berbagai sudut pandang. Sintak dari Problem Solving adalah (1) pendidikan dan peserta didik menyusun permasalahan sebagai bahan belajar, (2) pendidik menjelaskan kegiatan yang akan dilakukan oleh peserta didik, (3) peserta didik baik secara individu/kelompok mendapat sebuah bahan pemecahan masalah yang sama, (4) pada ahir kegiatan belajar pendidik/peserta ditunjuk menyimpulkan dan (5) pendidik dan peserta didik melakukan evaluasi proses dan hasil. Jurnal yang mendukung berjudul Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Problem Solving Model Polya Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah. Tree Diagram(diagram pohon) adalah sebuah tipe diagram secara spesifik yang memiliki topologi network (hubungan) yang unik. (1) masalah utama dijabarkan ke dalam masalah yang lebih kecil, (2) masalah yang sudah dijabarkan itu kemudian dijabarkan lagi ke masalah yang lebih kecil, (3) mengadakan identifikasi jaringan hubungan komponen-komponen yang ada. Dukungan peneliti berjudul Aplikasi Network Pohon Dalam Tree Diagram. Pokok bahasan materi karena keanekaragaman hayati merupakan prinsip klasifikasi dan siswa dapat menafsirkan dan merupakan kompetensi yang terkait dengan KPS. Keanekaragaman hayati mempunyai nilai rendah 49,72. Melalui Problem Solving dan Diagram Pohon diharapkan dapat mendorong kemampuan berfikir logis dan kemampuan menafsirkan. Kesimpulan dari Problem Solving dan Diagram Pohon diharapkan dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran terutama pada materi keanekaragaman hayati untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir logis dan kemampuan menafsirkan. Saran perlu dilaksanakan penelitian tentang penggunaan model Problem Solving dan tehnik Diagram Pohon untuk memberdayakan berfikir logis dan menafsirkan.
