Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Empu Tantular Semarang. Subjek penelitian dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes MFFT yang dikerjakan oleh 24 peserta didik kelas VIII A, kemudian dipilih subjek dengan gaya kognitif impulsif dan satu subjek dengan gaya kognitif reflektif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes tertulis, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) Subjek dengan gaya kognitif impulsif belum mampu memenuhi semua indikator pemecahan masalah pada langkah polya dengan sempurna, dari tahap memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana dan membuat kesimpulan/melakukan evaluasi 2) Subjek dengan gaya kognitif reflektif mampu memenuhi semua indikator pemecahan masalah dari tahap memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana dan membuat kesimpulan/melakukan evaluasi 3) Subjek dengan gaya kognitif impulsif menjawab pertanyaan dengan singkat, sedangkan reflektif menjawab dengan jawaban lebih rinci.   Abstract This research is a qualitative descriptive research. This research was conducted at Empu Tantular Junior High School in Semarang. The research subjects were selected based on the results of the MFFT test conducted by 24 students of class VIII A, then subjects with impulsive cognitive styles and one subject with reflective cognitive styles were selected. The data collection technique in this study uses written tests, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results showed that 1) Subjects with impulsive cognitive styles were not able to meet all problem-solving indicators in the polya step perfectly, from the stage of understanding the problem, planning solutions, implementing the plan and making conclusions/evaluating 2) Subjects with reflective cognitive styles were able to meet all problem-solving indicators from the stage of understanding the problem, planning solutions, implementing the plan and making conclusions/evaluating 3) Subjects with impulsive cognitive styles answered questions briefly, while reflective answered with more detailed answers.

Abstract

Latar belakang yang mendrong penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan motivasi belajar siswa. Hal tersebut di sebabkan kurangnya pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mengoptimalkan kemampuan dan motivasi siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang bertujuan untuk 1) Merancang dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA Tema 1 Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan makhluk hidup berbasis powerpoint interaktif pada kelas 3 SDN Langkap. 2) Menguji hasil kelayakan media pembelajaran berbasis powerpoint interaktif untuk digunakan pada kelas 3 SDN Langkap.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis powerpoint dapat meningkatkan antusias mereka dalam belajar. Adapaun tempat penelitian dilakukan di SDN 02 Langkap dengan subjek uji produk pada 13 peserta didik kelas 3. Untuk mengetahui keefektifan produk tersebut maka teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan hasil menggunakan kuesioner respon peserta didik dan validasi untuk guru dan peserta didik. Hasil produk pengembangan yaitu media pembelajaran berbasis powerpoint. Berdasarkan hasil validasi guru kelas memperoleh skor 3,34 dan 3,39 dengan kategori sangat valid. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan efektif untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN Tlogosari Kulon 01 and will discuss increasing students' learning motivation, especially in science and science subjects in grade 4 elementary school by using the wordwall application. The research method used in this research is the classroom action research method using data collection techniques, namely observation, documentation and interviews. This research was carried out in only one cycle with three meetings. The research results obtained from educator observation activities reached 83%, and student observation results reached 86% with a minimum value of 80%. Therefore, the percentage results show that using the Wordwall application can increase students' learning motivation. They look more enthusiastic, not bored and very happy when carrying out learning and evaluation assessments at the end of each lesson using the wordwall application.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the mathematical problem-solving ability of grade X PM 3 students at SMK Negeri 2 Semarang through the application of a problem-based learning (PBL) model with the Teach at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. This classroom action research was conducted in 2 cycles. The results of the study showed an increase in the mathematical problem-solving ability of students from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2. In Cycle 1, the average score for the mathematical problem-solving ability test was 80.89 with an 88.6% completion rate. After making improvements in Cycle 2, the average score increased to 93 with a 100% completion rate. Based on the observation results, students were seen to be more enthusiastic and actively involved in the learning process. They were able to understand problems, plan solution strategies, carry out plans, and recheck answers with teacher guidance according to the ability level of each group. It can be concluded that the application of a problem-based learning (PBL) model with the Teach at the Right Level (TaRL) approach is proven to be effective in improving the mathematical problem-solving ability of grade X PM 3 students at SMK Negeri 2 Semarang

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes and engagement through the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach combined with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The TaRL approach focuses on teaching that is appropriate to each student's ability level, while PBL encourages students to actively solve relevant problems, so that it is expected to improve student engagement and learning outcomes. This study was conducted in the form of classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. In the first cycle, the results of student learning completion reached 64%. After reflection and improvement in the first cycle, it was continued with the second cycle which showed an increase in student learning completion to 78%. There was a difference in increase of 14% between the first and second cycles. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the TaRL approach combined with the PBL model can effectively improve student learning outcomes and engagement. The increase in learning completion from the first cycle to the second cycle illustrates that this approach and model are able to accommodate differences in student abilities and facilitate more effective and interesting learning. Thus, the TaRL approach and the PBL model can be used as effective learning strategies to improve the quality of education in the classroom.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on line and angle materials. This type of research is a Classroom Action Research conducted at SMP N 6 Semarang in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year through the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. This research was conducted with two cycles. The research subjects were students of class VII B SMP N 6 Semarang. The research instruments used were learning tools, evaluation/reflection sheets. Data collection techniques in this study were tests in the form of description questions given to students at the end of each cycle to determine the learning outcomes of students. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on data analysis, it was found that by using the TaRL approach on line and angle material, there was an increase in learning outcomes, namely pre-cycle by 0%, cycle I by 11.76%, and cycle II by 88.23%. It can be concluded that the application of the TaRL approach to line and angle material can improve the learning outcomes of students in the cognitive aspect.

Abstract

During the implementation of Field Experience Practices (PPL) at SMA Negeri 10 Semarang, researchers obtained data that students at the high school still experienced several obstacles and deficiencies in the learning process, understanding learning objectives, and relating the material to other things. Using a good learning model will help students connect concepts both in mathematics and in other fields. The aim of this research is to determine the increase in students' mathematical connection abilities in Understanding by Design (UbD) with problem-based learning (PBL) assisted by LKPD. This research uses classroom action research (PTK). The research procedure used consists of several stages, namely problem diagnosis, planning, action, observation, data analysis, and reflection. The sample in this research was class X-9 at SMAN 10 Semarang. The research results showed that in cycle I the average student learning outcome was 72.08 and classical completeness was only 44.44%. This is certainly very far from ideal. In cycle II the average learning result for class X-9 was 80.44 and classical completeness increased to 66.67%. Even though it has increased, it has not reached the ideal target, so treatment is needed in the third cycle. In cycle III the average learning outcome was 86.89 and classical completeness increased to 88.89%. This was said to be complete and successful. Thus, UbD with PBL assisted by LKPD can improve students' mathematical connection abilities in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' abilities in writing poetry using the acrostic technique. This is important to teach in improving poetry writing skills. The procedure carried out in this research was to apply the classroom action research method using descriptive analysis. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the average value and also calculate the percentage of learning outcomes, and quantitative analysis is carried out to evaluate the value of learning outcomes. The learning process uses acrostic techniques, the main focus of which is to strengthen students' understanding of analysis, used to explore psychological aspects. This research involved 36 students. In this context, teachers develop learning for Indonesian language subjects, especially in writing poetry, by applying acrostic techniques. Based on the research results, there are several improvements in learning to write poetry using the acrostic technique assisted by Canva media. This improvement means that students are more critical in analyzing keywords found in writing poetry so that students can easily choose appropriate diction followed by arranging words to form poetry lines. This research method uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data analysis techniques describe and conclude data based on observation results. The results of this research showed an increase in poetry writing skills through the acrostic technique assisted by Canva media, namely that the average score of students in cycle I was 84.5 and in cycle II there was an increase of 87.6. Meanwhile, the highest score in cycle I was 90 and cycle II was 96. The percentage of completion level in cycle I was 94.44% and cycle II was 97.22%. So there is good improvement in writing poetry using assisted acrostic techniques media canva.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts using Realistic Mathematic Education assisted by concrete object media. The research subjects were class 1B of Kalicari 01 Semarang State Elementary School, totaling 27 children, consisting of 11 male students and 16 female students. The data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis in this class research action is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The research results showed that the ability to understand mathematical concepts in cycle I was 54.07% with low criteria and in cycle II it was 80.87% with high criteria. Based on the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the ability to understand mathematical concepts, teachers' teaching skills in managing learning, and student activities in class 1 of Kalicari 01 Semarang State Elementary School increased after the implementation of the Realistic Mathematics Education model assisted by concrete objects as media.

Abstract

Learning to write poetry is one of the materials found in class X at the high school level. This research aims to improve poetry writing skills in class X students at SMA Negeri 5 Semarang through the application of keyword techniques assisted by photo media. This research uses quantitative methods with a classroom action research (PTK) design involving two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used include observation, tests and documentation. The results of the research show that using keyword techniques assisted by photo media can improve students' poetry text writing skills. The improvement in poetry text writing skills can be seen from the test results given, where in the first cycle of activities the percentage was 27.8%, while in the second cycle the percentage increased to 94.4%. Thus, the keyword technique assisted by photo media has proven to be effective in improving poetry writing skills in class X students at SMA Negeri 5 Semarang. It is hoped that these findings can become a reference for teachers in implementing innovative methods to improve students' writing skills. The implementation of this technique also shows that the use of visual media can stimulate students' imagination, so that it is easier for them to express ideas and feelings into poetry. This research makes a positive contribution to the development of more creative and effective teaching methods in the field of literacy.
