Focus and Scope Focus EDUCHILD Journal of Early Childhood Education is a scientific journal dedicated to disseminating the results of research and conceptual studies in the field of Early Childhood Islamic Education. Publications in the EDUCHILD Journal of Early Childhood Education include original research and conceptual studies on Islamic religious education and related issues that have not been previously published elsewhere. The aim of this journal is to provide a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to publish original research articles as well as review articles. Scope This journal emphasizes theoretical and practical studies on contemporary issues. Abstract

This study examines the efforts of teachers in developing Indonesian language skills for group B children in Welulue Kindergarten, Pallae Village, Cenrana District, Bone Regency and examines the inhibiting and supporting factors experienced by teachers in developing Indonesian language for group B children in Welulue Kindergarten, Pallae Village, Cenrana District, Bone Regency. This type of research is qualitative research, using qualitative, pedagogic, and sociological approaches. Forms of data collection conducted by researchers are using interview techniques, observation and documentation. This study uses data analysis techniques with the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.The results showed that there were four teacher efforts in developing the Indonesian language skills of group B children in Welulue Kindergarten, Cenrana District, Bone Regency, namely a) stimulating children's interest in speaking, b) enriching children's vocabulary, c) introducing story sentences and, d) introducing symbols of writing on children. The inhibiting factors experienced by the teacher in developing Indonesian for group B children in Welulue Kindergarten, Pallae Village, Cenrana District, Bone Regency consist of a) socio-economic status and b) the lack of interest of the teacher to innovate, as for the supporting factors experienced by the teacher in developing Indonesian group B children, namely a) aspects of implementing learning according to PAUD standards and b) aspects of facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study discusses the Role of Teachers in Instilling Polite Behavior in Children Aged 5-6 Years in RA Rabbani, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of teachers in instilling polite behavior in children aged 5-6 years and to determine the description of polite behavior in children aged 5-6 years in RA Rabbani, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive with a research approach using a qualitative, pedagogical and psychological research approach. This study uses data analysis techniques with the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there are three descriptions of polite behavior in children aged 5-6 years in RA Rabbani, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency, namely a) Mutual respect, an attitude of caring in treating others politely without lowering one's own self-esteem. b) Saying thank you, a way to show that you appreciate the time and effort that others give. c) Socializing, a process that can provide the values needed for the formation of attitudes and personality. Furthermore, there are three roles of teachers in instilling polite behavior in children aged 5-6 years at RA Rabbani, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency, namely a) teachers as educators are people whose job is to direct, guide, teach, care for, and train students. b) Teachers as educators, play a role in helping intellectual, affective, and psychomotor development, through the delivery of knowledge. c) Teachers as mentors, are expected to be able to provide guidance services to children.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the use of gadgets in children aged 5-6 years in Talungeng Village, Barebbo District, Bone Regency and to determine the impact of gadgets on the morale of children aged 5-6 years in Talungeng Village, Barebbo District, Bone Regency. which uses descriptive qualitative research with pedagogic, psychological and sociological approaches to obtain the desired data using primary and secondary data. Then analyzed by: 1. Reducing the data, 2. presenting the data, and 3. drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that there are two forms of using gadgets in children aged 5-6 years in Talungeng Village, Barebbo District, Bone Regency, namely children often access YouTube applications, games and also Tiktok applications and children use different times, children use gadgets with duration under 1 hour, 1 hour and 2 hours a day which is used repeatedly and each use takes 10-15 minutes. There are two impacts of using gadgets on children's morals, namely positive and negative impacts. The positive impact of gadgets for children is that they can train and improve intelligence in terms of knowing literacy, thinking power, high curiosity and can also increase self-confidence for children. The negative impact is that the child has not been able to manage the time of using the device, emotions that still need to be controlled, showing angry emotions, crying, rebelling and even saying disrespectful words to parents and other people.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic storytelling in the moral development of early childhood at the TKTQ AL-KHANSA. The background of this study stems from the importance of instilling moral values from an early age as a foundation for developing children's noble character. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that structured and consistent Islamic storytelling activities can foster positive behaviors in children, such as politeness, honesty, responsibility, empathy, and the ability to control emotions. The changes in children's attitudes were not only observed in the school environment but also directly felt by parents at home. This indicates that the Islamic storytelling method is effective in internalizing moral and spiritual values in a fun and developmentally appropriate way. Therefore, this approach is worthy of integration into the learning process at early childhood education institutions more broadly.

Abstract

Fun learning activities will increase children's willingness to express themselves in the form of works. Loose part media "Magic Aquarium" is one of the media that can be used to develop creativity in early childhood. The research method uses R&D (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The development carried out is based on an understanding of the concepts contained in the form of works. Media "Magic Aquarium" can be used in a variety of themes, all things can be made in this media. Children's creativity will develop and will affect their quality of life in making decisions to solve problems.

Abstract

As is known in the world of education, the curriculum is the heart which is the main point of all its aspects (components). This research examines various reference sources such as journal articles, books, websites and other documents, therefore it is said to be a literature study. The results presented are that there are various types of approaches to implementing the curriculum, namely: academic subject, humanistic, social reconstruction, competency, systems approach, value clarification, comprehensive, integrated, technological, and problem-centered. As well as curriculum development models including: administrative (line staff) or top down, grass roots, demonstrations, beauchamp, taba, roger, systematic action research, emerging technical, tyler, wheeler, nicolls, skilbeck, and oliva. Based on the many types of approaches and models of curriculum development, school institutions are given the authority to be able to choose and develop which types and models will be applied according to the conditions of the institution (internal, external), the needs of students as well as geographical, environmental and Public.

Abstract

There are still many Indonesian people who do not know about financial literacy, only 29.7% of the total population. Instilling financial literacy needs to be introduced early on to improve the ability to manage finances when they are adults. The purpose of this study is to provide insight that financial literacy needs to be instilled early on. The research method uses literature studies or is called library research. The results of the study show that the role of parents is very important in introducing financial literacy to early childhood. This is because parents are the first and main education, so the role of parents is very much needed. The role of parents can be done by introducing the concept of money, introducing saving, inviting them to go shopping or inviting them to financial institutions. That way, children can manage their finances properly when they are adults, so that they can avoid children from financial weaknesses

Abstract

This thesis discusses the improvement of gross motor skills in early childhood through the traditional game of "danda" among Group B students at Al-Mubarak Kindergarten, Tanete Riattang Barat Subdistrict, Bone Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine the gross motor skills of early childhood children through danda play activities at Al-Mubarak Kindergarten in the Tanete Riattang Barat Subdistrict. This research is a quantitative study using a True Experimental Design with the one group pretest-posttest model, conducted at Al-Mubarak Kindergarten with a sample of 23 children. The study adopts a pedagogical approach. Data collection techniques involved observation and testing. The data obtained during the research were analyzed using SPSS for Windows version 22 to calculate descriptive statistics of the pretest and posttest, as well as the paired sample t-test. The results show that playing danda significantly improves the gross motor skills of early childhood children in Group B in the Tanete Riattang Barat Subdistrict. This is evidenced by the t-test results between the pretest and posttest scores, where the significance value obtained was 0.001 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that danda play activities effectively enhance the gross motor skills of early childhood children in Group B at Al-Mubarak Kindergarten, Tanete Riattang Barat Subdistrict.

Abstract

Learning media becomes the main foundation in a teaching process. Technology is utilized to improve the quality of an educator. This study analyzes the effectiveness of technology-based learning media training and the quality of educators. The method used in this study is quantitative with a one-group pretest-posttest design to improve educator quality. The sample in this study consisted of 20 educators at RA Jambu. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation of pretest and posttest instruments by providing technology-based learning media training. Data analysis was conducted using the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Paired Sample T-Test. The results of this study show that there is a positive and significant relationship between technology-based learning media training and educator quality. This article has implications for a quality leadership style that can address problems occurring in educational institutions.

Abstract

This thesis discusses efforts to improve fine motor skills through pattern-sewing activities for children aged 4–5 years at RA Tamoponreng, Macege Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District. The purpose of this study is to determine the fine motor skills of early childhood through pattern-sewing activities at RA Tamoponreng, Manurunge Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design, specifically the One Group Pretest–Posttest model. The research was conducted at RA Tamoponreng, Macege Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District, with a sample of 10 children. The study employed a pedagogical approach, and the data were collected through observation and testing. The data obtained during the study were analyzed using SPSS for Windows version 22 to determine the results of descriptive statistics for the pretest and posttest, as well as the paired sample t-test. The results show that pattern-sewing activities can improve fine motor skills in Group A at RA Tamoponreng, Macege Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District. This is evidenced by the t-test results for the pretest and posttest, where the significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that pattern-sewing activities significantly enhance fine motor skills in children. Keywords: Fine Motor Skills, Pattern Sewing
