Abstract

The role of the teacher in learning is also very important to help students understand and grasp the material that has been presented. Teachers need students who are active and have self-confidence in order to produce two-way learning. Implementing teacher-centered learning can lead to passive classroom conditions. Students tend to get bored with learning, and create unconducive classroom conditions. As a result, students cannot maximize their learning outcomes according to the criteria. Teachers as educators must use several methods to see the development of student learning outcomes and also increase student activity This study was carried out because it saw that the learning outcomes in social studies subjects of students were still low and had not reached the minimum criteria score.  This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in grades VII-C at SMPN 163 Jakarta. This type of research is a class action research that is carried out in three cycles. The results showed that the use of the Gallery type active learning strategy could increase learning outcomes by 28% in cycle 1, 50% in cycle 2, and 83% in cycle 3.

Abstract

The social environment plays a crucial role in the process of forming student character. A conducive social environment can have a positive impact on students' moral and ethical development. Qualitative research is a research method that focuses on in-depth understanding of complex phenomena in real contexts. This approach is often used to answer complex questions and explore experiences, perceptions and meanings contained in them. The subjects of this research were 2 teachers, namely Class IV and Class V teachers. Qualitative data analysis is the process of systematically searching and compiling data. obtained from observations, interviews, field notes and documentation studies, organizing data into synthesis, compiling patterns, choosing what is important and what will be studied and making conclusions so that they are easy to understand. The research results show that social interaction, the role of the family, and the impact of the community environment around the school at Nganganaumala 1 State Elementary School are key elements in shaping students' character and moral values. Interactions that occur inside and outside the school environment provide opportunities for students to broaden their horizons about values such as cooperation, empathy, and social responsibility. The role of the family as a model and supporter in the formation of positive attitudes and ethical values also provides a strong foundation for students' personal. development

Abstract

Online learning has become the primary solution in addressing educational challenges in the digital era. However, both students and parents continue to face various obstacles. One major issue arises when learning materials are too difficult and delivered using teaching resources that are hard to comprehend. This leads to a decline in students' interest and dedication to learning. Moreover, the inability of parents to fully support their children's learning process during online sessions further complicates the situation. Teaching media used by educators are often monotonous or unappealing, which fails to stimulate students’ comprehension effectively. As a result, children struggle to understand complex learning content. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of innovative and engaging learning media in improving students' understanding during online learning. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include teachers, students, and parents at the elementary school level. Findings from this study are expected to provide recommendations for the development of more adaptive and student-centered digital learning media tailored to the needs and characteristics of learners

Abstract

The development of individuals and societies fundamentally depends on the quality of education provided. Education plays a crucial role in shaping competent, innovative, and responsible citizens who can contribute meaningfully to social progress. However, one of the persistent challenges in the educational process is maintaining students’ motivation to learn. In response to this issue, this research investigates the potential of digital books (e-books) to enhance student motivation. The study explores how e-books, with their multimedia features and interactive capabilities, can offer more engaging and personalized learning experiences. Key advantages of digital books include the ability to incorporate interactive elements such as videos, animations, quizzes, and hyperlinks, which support different learning styles. Additionally, e-books provide students with greater accessibility and flexibility, allowing them to learn anytime and anywhere, thus fostering self-directed learning. The findings of this study highlight that digital book development holds significant promise as a pedagogical tool that not only increases students’ interest but also sustains their motivation to engage with learning materials. In conclusion, integrating digital books into the educational environment can be an effective strategy to support student-centered learning and address the motivational challenges commonly encountered in traditional instructional approaches.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of collaborative learning methods in improving elementary school students' thinking skills. For collaborative learning to be effective, instructors must view teaching as a process of developing and enhancing students' learning abilities. The teacher's role is not to convey information, but to act as a learning facilitator. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students in grades 5 and 6 who were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The experimental group took part in learning using a collaborative method, while the control group took part in conventional learning. The instruments used are thinking skills tests and questionnaires. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' thinking skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings imply that collaborative learning methods can be an effective strategy for developing students' thinking skills in the context of elementary school education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of online learning in mathematics subjects at the elementary school level. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach in several elementary schools in Indonesia. Data were collected through interviews with teachers and students, as well as direct observations of the learning process. The results show that online learning has several challenges, including limited internet access, low digital skills among students and teachers, and a lack of effective social interaction. However, several benefits were also found, such as time flexibility and more varied learning resources. This study concludes that despite some obstacles, online learning can be optimized with the right strategies, such as digital skills training for teachers and students, as well as improving technology infrastructure.
