Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of third-party funds (TPF) and profit-sharing financing on the assets of Bank Jambi Syariah. Assets are a key indicator in assessing the financial capacity and performance of Bank Jambi Syariah. The research uses monthly time series data over a three-year period and applies multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that both TPF and profit-sharing financing have a significant positive effect on UUS assets. The positive influence of TPF indicates that increased public fund collection can strengthen the financial structure of Islamic business units. Likewise, profit-sharing financing significantly contributes to asset growth, reflecting the effectiveness of fund distribution through productive partnerships. Classical assumption tests confirm that the regression model satisfies the criteria of normality, homoscedasticity, no autocorrelation, and no multicollinearity. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.7356 indicates that 73.56% of the variation in assets can be explained by TPF and profit-sharing financing. These findings highlight the importance of optimal fund management and financing in supporting the asset growth of Islamic Business Units.

Abstract

This study aims to thoroughly investigate and analyze the influence of Mudharabah financing and Murabahah financing on the profitability of Bank BTN Syariah during the period from December 2019 to December 2024. Adopting a rigorous quantitative research approach with an associative causal design, this research regularly examines monthly financial reports obtained from Bank BTN Syariah. The primary analytical tool employed is regression analysis, which facilitates the robust exploration of relationships between the variables. The empirical findings derived from this study indicate that Mudharabah financing does not exert a statistically significant influence on the bank's profit. Conversely, Murabahah financing demonstrably shows a significant positive influence on the bank's profit, suggesting its effectiveness as a major contributor to profitability. These results collectively underscore the importance of strategic financial product management within Islamic banking institutions. This study proposes that while Murabahah financing effectively contributes to profitability, there is a critical need for enhanced evaluation, more stringent monitoring, and potential restructuring of Mudharabah financing to maximize its overall effectiveness and optimize its contribution to the bank's comprehensive financial performance. The study significantly contributes to the existing body of literature by offering updated empirical insights and a deeper understanding into the complex dynamics of Islamic banking profitability, particularly within the Indonesian context during a period of economic flux.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and examine the factors that influence customers' decision to use electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) on consumer opinion platforms, as well as the impact of brand involvement on this behavior. This study synthesizes 21 peer-reviewed journal papers using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach informed by PRISMA guidelines in order to better understand the underlying elements that motivate consumers to express their thoughts online. The findings reveal that consumer participation in e-WOM is influenced by intrinsic factors such as altruism, self-enhancement, and community involvement, as well as extrinsic factors including financial incentives. Furthermore, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral brand engagement significantly contributes to the tendency to engage in both positive and negative e-WOM. The review also highlights that intense brand engagement can enhance loyalty while simultaneously increasing the likelihood of negative e-WOM when expectations are unmet. These insights suggest that the relationship between consumer motivation, brand engagement, and e-WOM is both complex and contextual, shaped by the digital platform in use, product category, and prevailing cultural norms. This study contributes theoretically to consumer behavior literature and offers practical implications for developing more personalized, participatory, and responsive digital marketing strategies in the age of social media.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of budget participation on the performance of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the Government of Maluku Province, with a specific focus on the moderating role of the Local Government Information System (SIPD). The study responds to persistent disparities in budget realization and performance outcomes in regional governments despite efforts to implement participatory budgeting practices. Utilizing a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 36 OPDs through structured questionnaires distributed to officials directly involved in budget preparation. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to evaluate both direct and interaction effects. The findings reveal that budget participation significantly improves OPD performance, confirming the relevance of goal setting theory. While SIPD does not directly affect performance, its interaction with budget participation significantly strengthens the relationship, supporting the contingency theory. These results suggest that although SIPD’s standalone impact is limited, its integration as a contextual enabler enhances participatory processes by improving data accuracy, decision making quality, and organizational alignment. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence on the conditional role of digital governance tools in enhancing public sector performance, particularly in resource limited regions like Maluku. It also offers practical implications for policymakers seeking to optimize the synergy between participatory budgeting and digital systems. The study is limited to a specific regional context and set of variables, suggesting the need for broader, comparative research in the future.

Abstract

Injustice in private insurance practices in Indonesia often arises due to the imbalance of the position of attachment between the insurance institution and the insured party, such as in unilateral claim rejection or adverse standard clauses. This study aims to analyse the role of insurance guarantees from the state as an alternative to legal protection and justice for consumers. Through a juridical-normative approach and case studies on breaches of agreements committed by private insurers, based on the analysis conducted, it is known that state intervention in the form of an insurance guarantee scheme or Policyholder Protection Scheme (PPS) can provide legal certainty and public confidence in the insurance industry. The study recommends the establishment of a national insurance guarantee institution as a structural solution to the imbalances that occur in the commercial insurance system in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the lack of understanding of Islamic economics on the performance of Islamic banks. The main problem identified is that although interest in Islamic banking continues to increase, the level of understanding of the public and even some practitioners regarding the principles of Islamic economics is still relatively low. This condition has the potential to hinder the growth and effectiveness of Islamic bank operations. This study aims to analyze in depth how this lack of understanding affects various aspects of Islamic bank performance, including fund raising, financing distribution, customer loyalty, and institutional reputation. The research approach used is a qualitative method with case studies of several Islamic banks in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with bank management, employees, customers, and Islamic economics experts, as well as through analysis of internal documents and financial reports. The results of the study indicate that the lack of understanding of Islamic economics is negatively correlated with the performance of Islamic banks. This can be seen from the low interest of potential customers, difficulties in developing innovative products that are in accordance with Islamic law, high levels of complaints due to misunderstanding of contracts, and lack of trust from some of the community. The implications of this study highlight the urgency of massive and sustainable improvement of Islamic economic education and literacy, both for internal Islamic banks and the general public. Recommendations put forward include the development of a comprehensive Islamic education curriculum, ongoing training programs for bank employees, and effective socialization campaigns to improve public understanding. Thus, it is expected that the performance of Islamic banks can improve along with a better understanding of Islamic economic principles.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of Islamic values in sharia entrepreneurship skills and their impact on economic growth, especially in the MSME sector in Medan City. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, where data was obtained through surveys and interviews with five business actors in the fashion sector in Medan City. The results of the study show that the application of sharia principles such as honesty, discipline, independence, commitment, and social usefulness plays a significant role in building consumer trust, increasing loyalty, and strengthening business resilience. In addition, Islamic values also encourage innovation and productivity, as seen in adaptive marketing strategies and business management that is free from riba, gharar, and maysir. The findings of this study reinforce the theory that sharia entrepreneurship is not only oriented towards material gains, but also creates positive social impact through community empowerment and ethical business practices. The implication of this research is the importance of the support of the government, Islamic financial institutions, and educational institutions in developing training and mentoring programs to strengthen the sharia-based entrepreneurship ecosystem. Thus, sharia entrepreneurship can be a strategic solution in facing global economic challenges, while encouraging inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.
