Abstract

The integration of religion and science is a scientific paradigm developed to overcome the dichotomy between Islamic sciences and general sciences in Islamic higher education. This study aims to examine in depth the implementation of religion and science integration at the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, one of the Islamic universities that institutionally promotes an integrative scientific paradigm. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Research data were obtained through documentation studies of the curriculum, the university’s vision and mission, academic guidelines, and various institutional policies related to the development of integrative knowledge. The findings show that the implementation of religion and science integration at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is realized through an integrative curriculum design, the strengthening of Islamic studies courses as the foundation of scientific development, and the establishment of a religious academic culture that encourages dialogue between revelation and reason. However, several challenges remain in practice, particularly differences in lecturers’ understanding of the integration concept and limitations in its implementation in classroom learning. This study is expected to contribute theoretically and practically to the development of integration models for religion and science in Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation, trends, and research focus of gamification in mathematics learning using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Following PRISMA guidelines, articles published between 2015 and 2025 were collected from databases including Google Scholar, DOAJ, Garuda, and Sinta. A total of 100 initial articles were identified, of which 15 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed in depth. The findings indicate that gamification has a positive impact on students’ motivation, engagement, conceptual understanding, and learning outcomes in mathematics. The dominant research domain is the development of gamification-based learning media, such as interactive applications, e-modules, and electronic worksheets, often designed using the ADDIE model. Other research areas include pedagogical impact, which highlights improvements in students’ participation, enjoyment, and creative thinking, and technology integration, addressing challenges related to digital tools, teacher readiness, and infrastructure. Overall, gamification emerges as a promising pedagogical approach that can enhance learning experiences, foster active participation, and support the development of higher-order thinking skills. Despite these benefits, studies on long-term technology integration, sustainable implementation, and alignment with current curriculum frameworks remain limited. Future research is recommended to explore empirical effectiveness, teacher digital competence, sustainable integration of gamified learning, and its potential to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in mathematics education.

Abstract

The external environment plays a crucial role in the sustainability of an institution. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the external environment of Islamic educational institutions. This study was conducted without a research location, with all data collected through previous studies in the form of books and scientific articles relevant to the research theme. The data collection technique in this study used documentation, with data analysis techniques including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found that the external environment of Islamic educational institutions is an external environment that has the potential to influence the organization. Abstract

Fenomena kecanduan game online di kalangan mahasiswa menjadi permasalahan yang semakin mengkhawatirkan, terutama ketika dikaitkan dengan nilai-nilai keislaman dan produktivitas akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola kecanduan game pada mahasiswa dan pandangan Islam terhadap fenomena tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui survei online yang melibatkan 36 responden mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi. Instrumen penelitian meliputi pertanyaan tentang durasi bermain game, waktu bermain, dampak terhadap akademik, spiritual, dan pemahaman nilai Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 42,9% responden bermain game kurang dari 1 jam per hari, namun terdapat 14,3% yang bermain lebih dari 5 jam. Sebanyak 85,7% responden mengakui bahwa bermain game menjadi cara mengalihkan diri dari stres akademik, dan 25,7% melaporkan bahwa bermain game mengganggu waktu shalat mereka. Dalam perspektif Islam, mayoritas responden (80,6%) menyadari bahwa kecanduan game tidak sejalan dengan prinsip keseimbangan hidup antara dunia dan akhirat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun mahasiswa memiliki kesadaran keislaman yang baik, masih diperlukan upaya konkret dalam manajemen waktu dan penguatan nilai spiritual untuk mencegah dampak negatif kecanduan game.

Abstract

The development of automation technology and artificial intelligence has brought significant changes to library service systems, particularly in improving the efficiency and speed of information access. However, the dominance of technology has also raised concerns about the decreasing human dimension in librarians’ services. This article examines how librarians can maintain their human-centered roles amidst the implementation of library automation through an analysis of national and international literature published over the past five years. The findings show that automation and artificial intelligence do not replace the role of librarians; instead, they transform it into more strategic functions such as information literacy facilitation, user assistance, and the preservation of ethical values in library services. The concept of humanizing technology is therefore essential to ensure that technology remains integrated with human values so that library services are not only efficient but also user-oriented.

Abstract

Ulumul Qur’an is a scientific discipline that plays a crucial role in preserving the authenticity of the Qur’an, both in terms of text and meaning. Amid the growing trend of instant interpretations of the Qur’an that lack a solid methodological foundation, the role of Ulumul Qur’an has become increasingly urgent. This article aims to examine the importance of Ulumul Qur’an in safeguarding the authenticity of the Qur’an and its relevance in addressing contemporary interpretative challenges. This study employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach to classical and contemporary works on Ulumul Qur’an. The findings indicate that Ulumul Qur’an serves as a methodological foundation for Qur’anic interpretation and as an academic filter to prevent distortion of the divine message. Therefore, strengthening the study of Ulumul Qur’an is an essential necessity to maintain an authentic and responsible understanding of the Qur’an.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed various aspects of education, including educational supervision practices. Supervision that was traditionally conducted through conventional methods is now required to adapt to digital dynamics to remain effective in improving learning quality. This article aims to examine the transformation of educational supervision in the digital era by analyzing the challenges encountered and the conceptual innovations that have emerged. This study employs a library research approach by reviewing academic sources such as books and national and international journal articles related to educational supervision and digital transformation. Data were analyzed using a descriptive-critical method to identify patterns of change, key challenges, and innovative supervisory practices. The findings reveal that educational supervision in the digital era faces challenges related to limited digital competence among supervisors, resistance within organizational culture, and shifts in supervisory communication patterns. Meanwhile, supervisory innovations have developed through the integration of digital technology, collaborative approaches, and reflective and performance-based supervision models. This study concludes that transforming educational supervision requires the integration of technological mastery, paradigm renewal, and strengthened professional competence to sustainably enhance learning quality.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of educational supervision in improving learning quality based on previous research findings. A library research approach was employed by analyzing academic books, national and international journal articles, and other relevant studies. Data were analyzed using content analysis through the stages of data reduction, organization, and synthesis. The findings indicate that educational supervision functions as an effective professional development mechanism to enhance teachers’ pedagogical competence, particularly in lesson planning, instructional implementation, and learning evaluation. Supervision that is systematically planned, collaboratively implemented, and continuously followed up encourages reflective teaching practices and supports ongoing improvement in classroom instruction. The effectiveness of supervision is influenced by supporting factors such as leadership commitment, supervisor competence, teachers’ openness to feedback, and a collaborative school culture, while inhibiting factors include time constraints, administrative workload, and insufficient follow-up. Therefore, educational supervision plays a strategic role in improving learning quality when it is positioned as a reflective and sustainable professional development process rather than merely as an administrative control activity.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Determine and analyze the influence of production, prices, exchange rates, and inflation on coal exports in Indonesia during 2005-2024. 2) Determine and analyze the difference between coal export volume and crude oil export volume in Indonesia during 2005-2024. The data collection method was a survey using a questionnaire. The analysis tools used were Multiple Linear Regression and the Mann-Whitney Test. The results of the multiple linear regression test indicate that prices, production, and exchange rates have a positive and significant effect on coal exports in Indonesia during 2005-2024. Meanwhile, inflation does not have a significant effect on coal exports in Indonesia during 2005-2024. The results of the Mann-Whiney U test indicate a significant difference between coal export volume and crude oil export volume in Indonesia during 2005-2024.

Abstract

The pecuniary perturbations experienced by corporations harbor the potential to unsettle operational equanimity and imperil commercial perpetuity, particularly within capital-intensive dominions such as infrastructure and transportation. On this rationale, the present inquiry is orchestrated to dissect the contribution of endogenous determinants specifically profitability, leverage, and liquidity in sculpting corporate financial distress susceptibility. The research corpus comprises entities in the infrastructure and transportation sectors enlisted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the 2022–2024 span. A quantitative paradigm is deployed herein, employing panel data regression techniques to elucidate the interplay among the probed variables. Empirical exegesis reveals that profitability and liquidity correlate with abatement of financial distress, intimating that a firm’s adeptness in generating earnings while concurrently safeguarding sufficiency of current assets functions as a pivotal mechanism in mitigating fiscal strain. Contrariwise, leverage exhibits no discernible influence on financial distress, suggesting that debt-based capital composition does not per se prescribe the magnitude of corporate financial tribulation absent prudent stewardship of obligations and cash flows. Collectively, these findings underscore that fortification of internal fiscal performance constitutes a sine qua non for preserving corporate stability and perpetuity.
