Abstract

The phenomenon of broken home families is an increasingly prevalent social condition that has serious impacts on the psychological development of children. Children who grow up in incomplete family environments are at risk of experiencing emotional stress, behavioral disorders, and an overall decline in quality of life. This study aims to examine the forms of legal protection for children who suffer psychological impacts due to broken home families. The research method used is normative legal research, with a statutory and conceptual approach. Data sources were obtained through literature studies of legislation, legal doctrines, and relevant court decisions. The results of the study indicate that legal protection for children in Indonesia is regulated in various legal instruments, including Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, as well as provisions in the Civil Code and Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage. However, the implementation of this protection has not been fully effective, particularly in the aspect of psychological recovery for children. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the role of child protection institutions, increase legal awareness among parents, and integrate legal and psychological aspects in efforts to protect children holistically.

Intelligence is a gift from Allah SWT that distinguishes humans from other creatures. In Islam, intelligence is not limited to intellectual ability but also includes spiritual, emotional, and moral aspects. Islam views intelligence as a means to know Allah SWT, understand His creations, and fulfill human responsibilities as khalifah (stewards) on earth. This paper aims to examine the concept of intelligence in Islam, its types, and the role of intelligence in shaping faithful and moral individuals.

Abstract

The integration of religion and science is a scientific paradigm developed to overcome the dichotomy between Islamic sciences and general sciences in Islamic higher education. This study aims to examine in depth the implementation of religion and science integration at the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, one of the Islamic universities that institutionally promotes an integrative scientific paradigm. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Research data were obtained through documentation studies of the curriculum, the university’s vision and mission, academic guidelines, and various institutional policies related to the development of integrative knowledge. The findings show that the implementation of religion and science integration at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is realized through an integrative curriculum design, the strengthening of Islamic studies courses as the foundation of scientific development, and the establishment of a religious academic culture that encourages dialogue between revelation and reason. However, several challenges remain in practice, particularly differences in lecturers’ understanding of the integration concept and limitations in its implementation in classroom learning. This study is expected to contribute theoretically and practically to the development of integration models for religion and science in Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

Islamic civilization represents a complex and dynamic mosaic shaped by the interaction of religious doctrine, intellectual traditions, socio-political institutions, and diverse cultural expressions. This article aims to analyze Islam as a civilizational mosaic by examining its historical evolution, epistemological foundations, and contributions to global civilization. Employing a qualitative library research method, this study draws upon classical and contemporary scholarly works. The findings reveal that Islamic civilization developed through a process of cultural integration and intellectual exchange, enabling it to make significant contributions in science, philosophy, art, governance, and ethics. Understanding Islam as a mosaic civilization provides a more comprehensive perspective on its pluralistic character and reinforces its relevance in addressing contemporary global challenges.
