Abstract

The drainage part of a barge is one of the important components that ensures the smooth operation of the ship in the waters. This part is designed to overcome the problem of water entering the ship, both due to rain and sea waves. The importance of this drainage part lies in the safety of the ship and the crew itself. This practical work report explains the process of making drainage parts on tonggkang ships using the CNC Laser Cutting O2 machine and the process of checking the quality of the drainage parts. The goal is to make drainage parts and ensure that they pass the Quality Control process. In the manufacture of this drainage part, there are several stages of manufacturing, namely the design process, the material selection process, the material measurement process, and then the process of making parts using a CNC Laser cutting machine. The manufacturing process is divided into two, namely the procedure of turning on the machine and the cutting process using a CNC Laser machine and then checking at Quality Control. In addition, this report discusses checking the quality of drainage parts. Through this practical work report, it is hoped that readers can gain insight into the process of making drainage parts on barges.

Abstract

Simultaneous Stressing Machine is one of the stages in the prestressed concrete process, namely by providing tension on the steel wire (PC Bar or PC Wire) to overcome the weakness of concrete in withstanding tensile force. The purpose of this study focuses on the working stages of the stressing machine and the calculation of mechanical parameters. The work process of the simultaneous stressing machine consists of several stages starting from preparation, machine inspection, rod installation to the MSS, parameter input, stressing process, and technique and quality. The results of mechanical parameters such as tensile force, elongation, and strain are measured to evaluate the stressing results. With a tension parameter of 50 bar, the process produces a tensile force of 2,800 N, elongation of 0.055 m, and strain of 0.5%. This study provides technical insight into operating the MSS, supporting improved quality and efficiency in prestressed concrete production.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the industrial sector has undergone rapid and significant development. This progress encourages companies to improve productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency. However, such advancements are often accompanied by the use of modern technology, hazardous materials, and complex work processes, which inevitably increase the potential for workplace accidents if not properly managed. The larger the scale of an industry, the more complex the potential hazards become, thus elevating the level of risk. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a critical aspect that must be prioritized to protect all workers within the workplace environment. Despite its importance, the implementation of OSH practices remains inadequate in many institutions. This lack of attention has led to numerous workers failing to apply safety protocols for their own protection. Furthermore, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential in mitigating occupational hazards and plays a significant role in ensuring workplace safety and health (Ramli, 2010). Unfortunately, the level of worker compliance with PPE usage is still relatively low, which consequently increases the risk of accidents and injuries. Given these conditions, the implementation of OSH and proper PPE usage is urgently needed at PG. Jatitujuh. The nature of work activities and the production materials used at this facility present considerable opportunities for hazards and risks that could potentially endanger not only the workers within the plant but also the surrounding community.

Abstract

This research discusses the manufacturing process of the 49JPH Capacity Up Pin using the Ta Shing Crown-4 lathe machine at PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang. The material used is S45C steel, which has mechanical properties that support strength and wear resistance. The pin production process includes planning, material and tool selection, and several turning steps: facing, straight turning, chamfering, thread cutting M24x3, taper turning, and fillet finishing. Machining parameters were calculated to determine spindle speed, cutting speed, depth of cut, and feed rate. Quality inspection was carried out using a vernier caliper and screw pitch gauge with a tolerance of 0.01 mm. The results show that the manufacturing process successfully produced pins according to design, with product quality meeting standards without surface defects. This indicates that the combination of Ta Shing Crown-4 lathe, S45C steel, and carbide cutting tools is effective in producing precise and durable pins for industrial applications.

Abstract

This report contains the Stamping process carried out on the Part Bracket Lever Select Cable. The Stamping process is a process of forming metal/iron material coldly using dies and a press machine on the printed material to produce products according to plan. One of the main components when carrying out the Stamping process is Dies. Dies are objects used in the industrial world to print objects with the help of a Press machine to press the workpiece. When setting the Dies, we must also determine the appropriate Die Height. Therefore, the purpose of this report is to choose the appropriate Dies for the Part Bracket Lever Select Cable Stamping process and what Die Height value is used. The stages taken to carry out the Part Bracket Lever Select Cable Stamping process are the Planning process, material preparation, Dies Setting, the Stamping process which includes the Pierching, Blanking and Restrike processes, and Inspection. In carrying out the Part Bracket Lever Select Cable Stamping process, Progressive Dies are used for the Pierching and Blanking processes, while for the Restrike process, Single Station Dies are used. While the Die Height is set at 350 mm.

Abstract

The metalworking process plays a crucial role in the production of machine components, particularly when using a lathe. Continuous innovation is essential to improve the quality of production outcomes. Various methods can be applied, such as selecting the appropriate cutting tool type, determining the depth of cut, and setting the correct spindle speed. The main issue lies in how variations in tool type, spindle speed, and cutting depth affect the surface texture and hardness of the work material during conventional turning operations. This study focuses on the design of a meat chopper blade and a direct examination of the stages involved in its manufacturing process using a manual lathe. The methodology employed to collect data in this research includes systematic observation of the subject to directly ensure the planned investigation, followed by interviews involving direct question-and-answer sessions with technicians and factory managers, as well as a literature review that requires gathering information from relevant books and online resources. The purpose of the meat chopper blade manufacturing procedure is to identify the material used, ensure the proper tools and machines are applied, and describe each stage of the blade-making process. The manufacturing process involves preparing the materials, carrying out cutting procedures, performing turning operations, conducting milling activities, executing drilling processes, applying hardening treatment, and completing finishing operations.In this study, the meat chopper blade is manufactured using ST 37 steel. The process begins with material selection, followed by manual turning, rough turning, finishing turning, center hole boring, deep turning, drilling on four sides, and surface turning. The process continues with blade shaping using a grinding machine to remove excess material, and concludes with the final finishing stage, which includes grinding and polishing.

Abstract

Emotion plays a crucial role in human communication, and recognizing emotions from speech (Speech Emotion Recognition or SER) has broad applications in various fields. This study designs and implements a speech emotion recognition application to support tourism promotion events in Majalengka. A 1D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model is developed using public SER datasets (RAVDESS, CREMA-D, SAVEE, TESS) combined and augmented to improve cultural generalization. Key audio features, such as Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), are extracted for effective emotion classification. The resulting system achieves an accuracy of 74.4% on test data, successfully recognizing emotions like angry, sad, neutral, and happy with good precision. This automated emotion analysis assists judges in evaluating participants’ speeches objectively and efficiently. The integration of SER technology in tourism events demonstrates an innovative strategy to enhance the promotion of local culture and improve the overall visitor experience in Majalengka.

Abstract

The Lembah Cisaar Museum in Sumedang, West Java, which exhibits ancient animal fossils, faces challenges in attracting visitors due to limited interactivity and less engaging presentation methods. This study aims to improve the visitor experience through the development of an Android-based Augmented Reality (AR) application. The research employs the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, consisting of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution, combined with usability testing. The developed application integrates 3D fossil visualizations, interactive markers, and voice-over narration using Unity, Blender, and Vuforia. Usability testing involving 40 respondents indicated that 89% of users found the application engaging, 91% reported increased interest in visiting the museum, and 92% considered the information beneficial. These findings demonstrate that AR technology can significantly enhance educational value, interactivity, and visitor engagement. The implementation of this AR application provides a modern digital solution to introduce cultural heritage, supporting the transformation of museums into accessible and technology-based educational platforms

Abstract

Public services are an obligation of the village government to fulfill the needs of the community in accordance with laws and regulations. One form of service is community complaints that function as a means of conveying complaints and aspirations of citizens. In Kertabasuki Village, Majalengka Regency, the complaint mechanism is still carried out manually through face-to-face, telephone, and short messages, so the follow-up of complaints is not optimal. Data from mid-2023 to 2024 recorded 50 reports of street lighting, 7 losses, 2 floods, and around 100 related to social assistance. This condition shows the need to utilize technology to improve service effectiveness. A community complaint website is a relevant solution because it facilitates recording, tracking, and monitoring the status of reports, and supports village government transparency and responsiveness.

Abstract

Koperasi WIN Syariah, a cooperative for the employees of SMK Widya Nusantara Sumedang established in 2007, plays a vital role in improving the welfare of its members through its mini bank and school supply business units, operating on Wadi'ah and Mudharabah principles. However, its operational processes, including the management of member data, savings, and loans, are still conducted manually. This traditional approach leads to significant challenges, such as time-consuming data management, a high potential for human error in transaction recording, and inefficiencies in financial reporting. In response to the rapid advancement of technology, the integration of an information system has become essential to address these issues. This paper details the development of a web-based Savings Management Information System for Koperasi WIN Syari’ah. The system is designed to automate and streamline core cooperative functions, from member data administration and transaction processing to the automatic generation of financial statements. The objective of this system is to provide a comprehensive solution that mitigates the problems associated with manual record-keeping. It is expected that the implementation of this information system will significantly enhance operational efficiency, improve data accuracy, and provide more transparent and timely financial reporting, thereby supporting the cooperative's mission to advance the prosperity of its members.
