Abstract

The night market is a place for recreation and buying and selling transactions for the community. Night market visitors have a very wide range of diversity (gender, age, social and economic strata, and etc). The night market has many advantages besides being able to attract a variety of visitors. But on the one hand, the night market is also inseparable from its shortcomings. Among them are cleanliness, sanitation, material sustainability on attraction rides and night market buildings. The night market also has the potential as a space to gather many people in one place so it is right to be used as a place to promote local products, as well as become a tourism object for the surrounding community. The night market has a moving nature that makes the night market use temporary buildings or temporary architecture. In this case, the night market can be a space for exploration of how the night market can develop temporary architecture to the stage of material sustainability and the optimal and practical use of structures. The night market can also be a space to explore how local architecture can be modified and further developed as a display skin on the night market. So that the night market will feel familiar to visitors who come and can be a special attraction for the night market. In this paper, the author wants to provide solutions to the shortcomings of the night market and provide alternative choices of architectural styles used in the night market. The research steps used in data collection include: input stage (determination of title); process stage (literature review, questionnaire, observation); stage (Process of data analysis, discussion, and conclusion).

Abstract

The decrease in the area of salt pond farming land in the Province of Bali as a result of greater use of coastal land as a support for the tourism sector resulted in a drop in the amount of salt produced in the Province of Bali. This issue has had an influence, resulting in the emergence of other issues such as decreased use of traditional food technology, decreased incomes and farming professions, and inadequate measures to maintain cultural assets associated with the ancient salt production method. Salt Pond Edutourism began as a reaction to existing challenges through its functions such as production and development, educational functions, and distribution. Abstract

This study identifies changes that have occurred in Archipelago Traditional Architecture, in this case taking a case study of Traditional Houses in Kamanasa Village, Central Malacca District, Central Malacca District. Data collection was carried out using field surveys and direct interviews with indigenous peoples in Kamanasa Village. The analysis was carried out by comparing and describing the differences that reflect changes in traditional house buildings in Kamanasa Village from an architectural point of view. Along with the times, traditional houses in Kamanasa Village have changed in terms of function, spatial planning, to construction and building materials. This architectural change was influenced by the growing needs of the community, practicality in the development process, to the increasingly limited availability of old materials and began to be replaced with new ones. This architectural change also creates differences between buildings that tend to be sacred or bound by customary rules and buildings where indigenous peoples live in general. The changes occur in spatial planning that adapts to the needs of the occupants' activities. This has implications for the appearance of buildings that seem more closed and private. The standards for health, safety and security for the occupants have also increased, so that traditional houses which function as residences usually have undergone a change in the use of materials that are easy to clean and the use of structures that are felt to be stronger and safer.
