Abstract

As one of Balinese architectural works that have a sacred function as a place of worship for Hindus, the construction of a temple will not be separated from the local wisdom of the community. Temple is often regarded as an identity of a region, cultural heritage, and a hereditary historical heritage that manifested as an architectural work. Although considered as a historical heritage, the absence of adequate historical documentation regarding temples in Bali causes changes that often do not match the story and the initial appearance of the temple. Many factors can be said to be the cause of the temple change, e.g.: (1) the community's desire to make temple repairs practical and fast; (2) understanding of the local community who are still minimal in the rules of building a temple; (3) there are no clear rules regarding the construction of a temple; (4) people's insensitivity to their identity; and (5) the absence of adequate documentation for the process of building a temple.Changes of a temple are also caused by government development funds, so many temples are dismantled and changed "forcefully" which unconsciously destroys the order of values and traces of the history of the temple. Temples that have historical values are instead replaced with new or contemporary models that are not necessarily based on original literature from the previous ancestral order. Seeing this phenomenon, researchers believe the need for preservation efforts through conservation strategies so that changes can be overcome and controlled according to their portion. Keyword : conservation strategis, historical temple, identity

Abstract

Tourism Village is related to Community-Based Tourism (CBT) where all management and development includes the participation of local communities. Badung Regency launched 11 Badung Tourism Villages through Perbup no. 47 of 2010. 1 of 11 Tourism Villages that are declared is Bongkasa Pertiwi Village. In Perbup it is very clear that Br. Karang Dalem I, the residents and their settlements should become icons of village tourism. The issue that was caught in the field was that embedding it as a tourist village did not have a positive impact on the settlement at Br. Karang Dalem I, Bongkasa Pertiwi Village, where some of its residents are pursuing a unique profession, namely traditional silver craftsmen. The craftsman profession, which used to be the majority, now only has 8 residents working (previously almost every household) and none of them are young. This issue is the basis for the need to conduct further studies to find the tourism potential of the Br. Karang Dalem I as a settlement for silversmiths in line with Bongkasa Pertiwi Village as a Tourism Village. The purpose of this study was to explore, collect data, analyze the spatial aspects of the settlement of Br. Karang Dalem I which is somewhat unique (Typical / Traditional) with an understanding of the meaning behind the existence of this spatial aspect, because initial observations of several settlements still maintain their traditional architectural form. This research is supported by an understanding of the concept of a tourism village, tourism architecture as a core, Balinese traditional settlements, and a study on the development of the tourism village of Bongkasa Pertiwi as previous research. This study will use an exploratory-qualitative method with cross-examination data analysis to obtain the best research conclusions. This research findings shows that architectural components of Banjar Karang Dalem I settlement are classified as special tourism interest (WMK). The Data show that 6 (six) aspects of sepcial tourism interest are found in Banjar Karang Dalem I settlement such as Settlement Layout Pattern, Telajakan Garden, The use of Kori as entrance gate, House using “Natah” As Arrangement Pattern, etc.

Abstract

Abstract The term ''candi'' in Indonesia generally refers to sacred buildings, legacies of Hindu-Budha Kingdoms. Candi is often considered a masterpiece erected based on certain architectural guidelines including those pertaining to site selection and proportion. Rock cut candi is one among many forms of structure found in certain areas across the Nusantara. In its objective to study the proportion of a rock cut candi, this article takes Gunung Kawi of Gianyar Regency-Bali, as a case study. The study analyzes the proportion of its physical elements, which are classified into three groups: leg; body; and head elements. Each category is constructed of lower, body and upper frame. This research implements Manasara-Silpasastra principles in regard to proportion of sacred structures. Manasara-Silpasastra proposes five categories of ratio of width to height, which are santika, paushtika, parshnika/jayada, adbhuta, and sarvakamika (Acharya, 1927). The research finds that the proportion between width and height at Gunung Kawi Rock Cut Candi falls into the category of paushtika. This is reflected in the ratio of its height to the width of its foot, which is 2:1. Keywords: Rock cut candi, physical elements of candi, proportion, Manasara-Silpasastra Abstrak Istilah 'candi' di Indonesia diartikan sebagai bangunan suci, peninggalan kerajaan Hindu-Budha. Abstract

Abstract: Belega village is known as a center for bamboo craftsmen, especially furniture and interior decoration in Bali. The 90s were the heyday of the bamboo craftsmen in Belega Village who succeeded in exporting bamboo handicrafts to America, Europe, and several Asian countries. However, since the opening of the Ida Bagus Mantra bypass around 1998, tourist visits have begun to decrease and have resulted in a decline in furniture orders. The decline in orders for handicrafts caused some craftsmen to start switching to bamboo building construction in 2010. The method of implementing the service program began with the development of the production sector with a focus on bamboo preservation innovation. The field of management focuses on the implementation of administration specifically in problems that occur related to capital by providing socialization and assistance. Partners' participation in implementing this program is more about developing bamboo preservation ideas and innovations according to community needs and designing a marketing plan model with the team.Abstrak: Desa Belega dikenal sebagai pusat pengrajin bambu khususnya furniture dan hiasan interior di Bali.
