Abstract

Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa matematika menjadi tantangan bagi sebagian peserta didik, terutama di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika. Kesulitan tersebut mencakup pemahaman masalah, penyelesaian soal yang dianggap sulit, dan ketidaknyamanan terhadap rumus-rumus kompleks. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah mata kuliah Statistik dan pengolahan data di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, yang dianggap sebagai landasan untuk pemahaman matematika lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan melibatkan mahasiswa semester II Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika di Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes, dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi kesalahan belajar mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan belajar, terutama dalam menyelesaikan soal statistik dan pengolahan data. Analisis kesalahan mahasiswa dibagi menjadi empat jenis, yaitu kesalahan tidak menjawab, kesalahan operasi, kesalahan konsep, dan kesalahan data. Berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan, sejumlah mahasiswa ditempatkan dalam kategori rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Wawancara dengan mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan belajar disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman terhadap rumus, kesalahan operasi dalam perhitungan, dan kesalahan dalam menentukan serta menggunakan rumus. Faktor penyebab melibatkan kurangnya pemahaman materi, keinginan untuk cepat menyelesaikan soal, dan kurangnya kesadaran terhadap pentingnya rumus dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang kesalahan belajar mahasiswa dalam matematika, khususnya pada mata kuliah Statistik dan pengolahan data. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk menyusun strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan membantu mahasiswa mengatasi kesulitan belajar dalam bidang matematika.

Abstract

Interaksi antara guru dan siswa menjadi kunci penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang stimulatif. Guru yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa dan menciptakan suasana yang nyaman akan memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk lebih berani bertanya dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan model pembelajaran "Two-Stay Two-Stray" dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa terhadap konsep bangun ruang. Bangun ruang merupakan topik yang memerlukan pemahaman konsep yang kuat dan penerapan kemampuan kognitif siswa secara optimal. Model pembelajaran ini melibatkan interaksi aktif antar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model "Two-Stay Two-Stray" secara bertahap meningkat, mencapai kategori baik pada siklus kedua. Aktivitas peserta didik juga menunjukkan peningkatan dari pertemuan ke pertemuan. Hasil belajar siswa, yang diukur melalui tes, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Hasil respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran ini cenderung positif, dengan rata-rata respon mencapai 3,94 pada skala 1-5. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran "Two-Stay Two-Stray" efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi bangun ruang. Pendekatan ini dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika, memotivasi siswa untuk belajar, dan mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis serta berkomunikasi efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kesalahan dan faktor penyebab dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun datar segi empat dan segitiga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII K SMP Negeri 9 Kota Sorong yang berjumlah 15 orang siswa. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kepribadian, soal tes, dan wawancara. Sedangkan untuk analisis data mengunakan deskriptif kualitatif atau pemaparan. Berdasarkan hasi penelitian  tes kepribadian memperoleh hasil yaitu 4 siswa Melankolis, 3 siswa Singuinis, 4 siswa Plegmatis, dan 4 siswa Koleris. Dari hasil itu 4 siswa Melankolis di jadikan sebagai subjek penelitian. Kesalahan-kesalahan yang di lakukan siswa melankolis dengan analisis penelitian kualitatif berdasarkan prosedur Newman dalam penelitian ini adalah kesalahan kesalahan memahami (comprehension error), kesalahan transformasi (Transformation Error), kesalahan ketrampilan proses (process skil error), kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir (enconding error). Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa tipe kepribadian melankolis melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pada materi bagun datar segi empat dan segitiga adalah tergesa-gesa dalam menjawab soal, lupa, dan lingkungan kelas yang kurang kondusif.

Abstract

Matematika adalah ilmu dasar yang sangat penting bagi siswa. Pentingnya ilmu matematika yang dipahami oleh siswa dapat menjadi bekal untuk kehidupan sehari-hari. Kurangnya minat siswa dengan pelajaran matematika dikarenakan pelajarannya yang monoton sehingga siswa cepat merasakan jenuh. Selain proses pembelajaran yang monoton, guru juga tidak menggunakan strategi pembelajara yang menarik dan mengakibatkan siswa  memiliki mainset berpikir yang menekankan pada ketidaksukaan pada pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana model PBL yang digunakan dengan edustore memengaruhi minat belajar siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen pretest dan posttest, dengan desain one sampel t-test. Selain itu, metode analisis deskriptif dan inferensial.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata hasil posttest menjadi 75 sedangkan berdasarkan analisis data uji normalitas data  dan berada pada kategori normal, kemudian data dilakukan uji t-test, data berada pada taraf sig 0,000 kemudian data dilanjutkan untuk uji n-gain dengan rerata mencapai 0,4 dan berada pada kategori sedang. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikansi dengan menggunakan model PBL menggunakan aplikasi edustore dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the relationship between self-confidence and mathematical problem-solving ability experienced by students for straight line equation material. This research was conducted using quantitative and qualitative methods where the subjects involved were 30 students of SMPN 7 Barru. The instruments used were questionnaires, math problems, and interview guidelines. The results showed that subjects with a high level of self-confidence showed a more thorough fulfillment of the criteria than other subjects. Even subjects classified as moderate and low levels of self-confidence are still more lacking to fulfill the aspects reviewed in this search. What can be compared between the three subjects is that they can identify the information provided with equally good ability. However, the ability to determine the concept used, the subject with a moderate level of confidence was not as good as the other two subjects. Similarly, for the subject with a low level of self-confidence, in determining the relationship with other subjects and confidence in the answers he gave was not better than the other two subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' critical thinking ability (CTA) in solving mathematical problems on the topic of fractions based on cognitive styles. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method, involving two students from SMPN 2 Takalar as subjects. The instruments used were the GEFT test, a critical thinking ability test, and interview guidelines. The results of the study showed that overall, FI students demonstrated better abilities in analysis, evaluation, and inference compared to FD students. Although both had equal abilities in interpretation, FI students stood out in overall critical thinking ability based on the given indicators. Additionally, FD students were less capable of making conjectures, formulating, and providing reasons for solutions. However, they performed well in manipulating mathematics. Moreover, FD students were unable to draw conclusions and check the validity of arguments. On the other hand, FI students were able to make conjectures, manipulate mathematics, draw conclusions from statements, and check the validity of arguments. Cognitive style is important in critical thinking activities for learning fractions; therefore, students should be given learning opportunities to not remain static in their current cognitive style.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' self-confidence in learning mathematics through the "numeracy literacy" program as part of the Teaching Campus initiative. The research method used was qualitative with a library study approach and direct observation at SMP Negeri 5 Sorong City. Initial observations show that interest in studying mathematics in grade 8 students is very low, as reflected in the low level of visits to the school library. The numeracy literacy program is carried out in groups, where students work on numeracy questions and then read the results of their work aloud and with the right intonation. The research results showed that after two weeks of implementing the program, there was a significant increase in self-confidence and interest in learning mathematics, as well as being able to read clearly and loudly, as well as the ability to speak in public. Apart from that, students' self-confidence in expressing opinions and speaking in public also increases. In conclusion, the numeracy literacy program is effective in increasing students' interest in learning mathematics and self-confidence. This program supports national education goals by making the nation's life smarter and realizing social justice through equitable and integrated education. The Teaching Campus Program, as part of Merdeka Belajar, plays an important role in assisting the teaching and learning process in schools and increasing student competency.

Abstract

This study uses a contextual teaching and learning (CTL) strategy to enhance students' mathematical learning outcomes and motivation when studying flat-sided geometric material. There are four phases to the implementation of this classroom action research approach: planning, carrying out the action, observing, and reflecting. Thirty pupils in the VIII B MT class. In this study, Al-Akbar Sorong City is the focus. According to the research findings, student learning outcomes in Cycle I had an average score of 67.00, placing them in the "low" category. However, following the implementation of CTL in Cycle II, student learning outcomes dramatically improved, reaching an average score of 80.33, placing them in the "high" category. Furthermore, there was an improvement in students' motivation to learn, as evidenced by the fact that 80% of them in Cycle II received high learning motivation levels. According to this study, using CTL to teach mathematics can greatly enhance students' motivation and learning outcomes. This result is consistent with earlier research demonstrating that CTL can raise students' motivation and proficiency in mathematics instruction. This study concludes that learning results and student motivation can be effectively enhanced by applying the CTL strategy to mathematics instruction. It is advised to conduct more research to carry out more research.

Abstract

Instruction plays a critical part in moving forward the quality of Human Assets (HR), and is the most important in shaping a quality future era. Successful instruction not only gives rise to knowledge but also makes a difference in the advancement of demeanors, values, and abilities. Be that as it may, instruction still faces major challenges in Indonesia, such as moo proficiency and numeracy among understudies. This inquiry points to making strides in the proficiency and numeracy aptitudes of lesson V understudies at SD Negeri 24 Sorong City through the Instructing Campus program executed from 26 February to 16 June 2024. A subjective and graphic approach was utilized in this inquiry about perception, meeting, and documentation strategies. The investigation shows that this program is compelling in expanding understudy engagement through different intuitive exercises such as Computerized Proficiency, Wordsearch Amusement, Tallying Whereas Lining Up, and Numeracy Snakes and Steps. Understudies appear to have increased motivation and learning capacity, as well as a distant better; a much better; a higher; a stronger; an improved">a distant better understanding of education and numeracy concepts. In conclusion, the Educating Campus program has had a positive effect in making a wonderful and conducive learning environment and making strides in the quality of instruction at SD Negeri 24 Sorong City.

Abstract

This study presents a systematic literature review on the integration of mathematics and COVID-19, focusing on how the pandemic has transformed educational practices into online learning and emphasized the importance of mathematical modeling in understanding and managing virus spread. Utilizing qualitative methodology, this research processes data from articles sourced from the Dimensions database, analyzed using VOSviewer for bibliometric mapping. The findings indicate a significant shift in teaching practices, with the rapid adoption of digital technologies facilitating online mathematics education. This transition not only highlights the flexibility of digital platforms but also the challenges in engaging students and effectively conveying complex mathematical concepts remotely. Additionally, the review reaffirms the critical role of mathematical modeling in predicting the pandemic's trajectory and informing public health strategies. The study also explores the broader implications of these shifts, suggesting that the integration of technology in mathematics education, triggered by the pandemic, may have long-lasting effects on pedagogical approaches. Challenges such as technology access inequality and the need for pedagogical adjustments to optimize online learning environments are discussed. This research contributes to the academic discourse by mapping the evolution of mathematical applications during a global health crisis and suggests directions for future research to enhance the resilience of educational systems against similar disruptions.
