Abstract

This study examines the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, particularly in supporting personalized learning, improving access for students with special needs, and strengthening sustainable education, despite challenges related to infrastructure, digital gaps, and ethical issues. The aim of this research is to analyze how AI contributes to the realization of inclusive and sustainable education. The method used is library research, focusing on academic literature such as books, journals, and scientific reports. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify themes, patterns, and conceptual relationships. The findings reveal that AI has significant potential to enhance inclusivity and sustainability in education, yet its implementation requires strong policy support, adequate infrastructure, and teacher competence to ensure its benefits are fully realized.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Flash Card media in improving descriptive writing skills in fourth-grade students at MI Yaspi VII Sumbersari in the 2022/2023 academic year. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and analysis of student work documentation. The results showed that Flash Card media successfully increased students' interest, activeness, and enthusiasm in the learning process. Students were able to develop ideas, organize content, and enrich vocabulary based on the visual stimuli presented. However, the study also identified ongoing challenges in the technical aspects of writing, namely the use of spelling, punctuation, and the selection of appropriate diction. Overall, it can be concluded that Flash Cards are an effective learning medium for building the foundation of descriptive writing skills at the elementary school level, with the note that it needs to be accompanied by a more systematic in-depth study of linguistic aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the accuracy of the use of formal language aspects—particularly spelling, punctuation, and word choice (diction)—in fourth-grade students' descriptive essays after the application of flashcards as visual stimuli. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted at MI Yaspi VII Sumbersari. The research subjects consisted of 22 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through triangulation techniques, namely passive participant observation during the learning process, semi-structured interviews with class teachers, and in-depth document analysis of students' pre-test and post-test descriptive essay scripts. Data analysis was conducted interactively through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, and using an analytical rubric developed to measure accuracy in these three linguistic aspects. The results revealed different impacts of flashcards on each aspect. On the one hand, this media proved very effective in improving the quality of students' diction. The visual images on flashcards acted as a significant cognitive scaffold in enriching vocabulary, increasing lexicon variety, and encouraging the use of more concrete, sensory, and contextual words. On the other hand, the study found that improvements in spelling and punctuation were very limited. Errors such as incorrect capitalization, errors in prepositions (*di-*), inconsistent spelling of standard words, and the absence or misplacement of periods and commas were still very common. These findings indicate that while flashcards are effective as idea generators and diction enhancers, they do not automatically improve mastery of written language conventions, which are often arbitrary and mechanical.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of flashcard media in improving descriptive writing skills in fourth-grade students at MI Yaspi VII Sumbersari in the 2022/2023 academic year. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and analysis of student documents. The assessment instrument focused on four aspects: clarity of object description, content organization, word choice (diction), and use of spelling and punctuation. The results revealed that flashcard media was significantly able to improve students' writing skills. This is evidenced by the average class score of 82, which is included in the GOOD category. In detail, the average scores for each aspect are: object clarity (81), content organization (82), word choice (84), and spelling and punctuation (78). In addition to increasing scores, this media also succeeded in arousing interest, developing visual imagination, and growing students' confidence in expressing ideas in structured writing. Thus, it can be concluded that flashcards are an effective and practical learning medium for improving the quality of descriptive writing learning at the elementary school level.
