Abstract

Abstrak: Aktivitas jasmani dan olahraga dapat merupakan pilihan mediasi yang tepat dalam pendidikan karakter. Pilihan tepat ini didasarkan pada: (1) hampir semua siswa melakukan aktivitas jasmani (termasuk olahraga); (2) aktivitas jasmani dan olahraga adalah bagian dari unsur budaya; (3) aktivitas jasmani dan olahraga melibatkan aktivitas moral. Suatu proses belajar-mengajar yang di- orientasikan pada pendidikan nilai, reflektif, dan contekstual serta relevan dengan sistem kehidupan nyata merupakan pintu masuk untuk mempengaruhi perilaku siswa, melalui perlibatan dan inter- vensi PECS (physical, emotional, cognitive, dan social). Pendidikan karakter melalui aktivitas jasmani berbasis nilai dapat merupakan alternatif untuk mendidik karakter siswa dengan memfokuskan pada lima tingkatan partisipasi, yaitu: (1) menghargai/menghormati hak dan perasaan siswa lain; (2) ke- berupayaan; (3) pengarahan-diri; (4) membantu siswa lain; dan (5) merefleksikan pada kegiatan di luar pendidikan jasmani. Abstract

Cerita rakyat dan dongeng dianggap materi tidak formal dalam penyusunan materi di perguruan tinggi karena struktur narasi sederhana, pemakaian kalimat dan kosakata sehari-hari, dan isi cerita yang tidak ada kaitan dengan materi formal yang dibahas dan dikerjakan dalam tugas atau ujian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis alasan, keuntungan, dan batasan penggunaan cerita rakyat dan dongeng sebagai materi yang patut diperhitungkan oleh para pendidik tingkat perguruan tinggi untuk penguatan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian pustaka dengan menggunakan teknik analisis wacana. Sumber data utama berupa kumpulan pustaka berupa artikel hasil eksperimen, wacana atau gagasan tertulis dalam artikel, dan hasil pemaparan ide lewat seminar tentang cerita rakyat pada pelajaran bahasa Inggris di perguruan tinggi. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik pembacaan teks. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerita rakyat tidak hanya dapat dipakai dalam pelajaran budi pekerti dan perkembangan karakter, tetapi juga bermanfaat untuk pembelajaran bahasa Inggirs dalam konteks pendidikan formal di perguruan tinggi. Kesadaran akan konten naratif khusus budaya dan nilai moral dalam setiap cerita lokal atau internasional dapat membantu mahasiswa perguruan tinggi untuk penguatan karakternya.Kata Kunci: cerita rakyat, perguruan tinggi, pendidikan karakter, pengajaran bahasa asing.STRENGTHENING CHARACTER EDUCATION THROUGH FOLKSTALES IN ENGLISH LESSONS IN HIGHER EDUCATION Abstract: Folktales and fairy tales are considered informal material in the preparation of material in higher education because of the simple narrative structure, daily use of sentences and vocabulary, and story content that has no connection with formal material that is discussed and worked on in assignments or examinations. The purpose of this research paper is to analyze the reasons, advantages, and limitations of using folktales and fairy tales as material that should be taken into college-level educators to strengthen character education. This research is a literature study using discourse analysis techniques. The main data source in the form of a collection of literature in the form of articles of experimental results, discourse or ideas written in the article, and the results of the presentation of ideas through seminars about folktale in English lessons in college. Data were collected by text reading techniques. The collected data ware analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed that folkltales can not only be used in the lessons of character building and character development, but also beneficial for English language learning in the context of formal education in higher education. Awareness of specific cultural narrative content and moral values in any local or international story can help college students to strengthen their character.Keywords: folktales, higher education, character education, foreign language teaching

Abstract

Abstrak: Penataan ulang kurikulum adalah sebuah kegiatan yang mendesak untuk segera dilaksanakan. Secara eksplisit, landasan yuridis penataan ulang kurikulum diungkapkan dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 dan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 17 Tahun 2010. Pasal 67 Ayat (3) PP 17/2010 merumuskan tujuan pendidikan dasar sebagai membangun landasan bagi berkembangnya potensi peserta didik agar menjadi manusia yang; (1) beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, dan berkepribadian luhur; (2) berilmu, cakap, kritis, kreatif, dan inovatif; (3) sehat, mandiri, dan percaya diri;dan (4) toleran, peka sosial, demokratis, dan bertanggung jawab. Ketetapan yang dirumuskan pada Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 17 Tahun 2010 ini jelas menunjukkan perlu ada penyempurnaan dan penguatan kurikulum. Penguatan kurikulum dengan pendidikan kewirausahaan tertuang secara jelas dalam Peraturan Pemerintanh No. 5 Tahun 2010 tentang Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2010-2014. Pembelajaran aktif menjadi penting dikembangkan karena tertuang dalam Intruksi Presiden Republik Indonesia No. 1 Tahun 2010 tentang percepatan pelaksanaan prioritas pembangunan nasional. Kata Kunci: penguatan kurikulum, pendidikan kewirausahaan, pembelajaran aktif, karakter bangsa STRENGTHENING THE CURRICULUM USING ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION AND ACTIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING TO DEVELOP THE NATION’S CHARACTER Abstract: Restructuring the curriculum is an activity that urgently needs execution. Legal basis for restructuring the curriculum is explicitly revealed in Act No. 20 of 2003 and Government Regulation No. 17 of 2010. Article 67 Verse (3) of the Government Regulation formulates the goal of basic education to build the foundation for developing the learners’ potentials so that they can become humans beings who are (1) faithful and devoted to the One and Only God, having noble morality and respectable personality; (2) knowledgeable, intelligent, critical, creative, and innovative; (3) healthy, autonomous, and self-confident; and (4) tolerant, socially sensitive, democratic, and responsible. The decree formulated in the Government Regulation No. 17 of 2010 clearly shows the need for improving and strengthening the curriculum. Strengthening the curriculum by entrepreneurship education is explicitly mentioned in the Government Regulation No. 5 of 2010 on the Middle-Term National Development Plan of 2010-2014. Meanwhile, active teaching and learning needs to be developed as it is written in the Indonesian Presidential Instruction No. 5 of 2010 on the enhancement of the implementation of the national development priorities. Abstract

Abstrak: Model bimbingan dan konseling (BK) proaktif dirancang sebagai upaya untuk melatih dan membekali para guru dengan kemampuan psikologi yang diperlukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan quasi experiment dengan pre-test dan post-test. Model BK-PROAKTIF diberikan melalui pelatihan keterampilan psikologi oleh tim 6 jam setiap hari selama 2 hari. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MIN Tempel Sleman Yogyakarta. Terdapat 8 guru yang termasuk dalam kelompok perlakuan dan 8 wali murid sebagai kelompok kontrol. Subjek penelitian dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Peneliti mengamati efektivitas perlakuan selama 4 bulan sejak perlakuan diberikan dengan mengamati dan mewawancarai subjek penelitian dan orang-orang yang telah mengenal subjek lebih dari satu tahun. Post-test diberikan saat observasi terakhir. Analisis data diolah menggunakan analisis kuantitatif, statistik Mann Whitney dan analisis kualitatif yang menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan karakter persepsi diri, self esteem, dan motivasi kerja para guru SD/MI setelah dilakukan pelatihan keterampilan psikologi dengan metode Proaktif. Namun demikian, tidak ada perbedaan persepsi diri, self-esteem, dan motivasi kerja antara kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Kata Kunci: bimbingan dan konseling, persepsi diri, self-esteem, dan motivasi kerja "BK PROACTIVE" PSYCHOLOGICAL SKILLS MODEL FOR DEVELOPING THE CHARACTER AND PERSONALITY OF HUMANISTIC PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS Abstract: Guidance and Counseling Proactive Model is designed as a proactive effort to train and equip teachers with the necessary psychological capabilities. This study used a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test. BK-PROACTIVE model was implemented through psychological skills training by a team for 6 hours per day for 2 days. This research was conducted in MIN Tempel Sleman, Yogyakarta. There were 8 teachers included in the treatment group and eight guardians of the students as the control group. Subjects were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The researchers investigated the effectiveness of the treatment for 4 months after treatment was given by observing and interviewing the subjects of research and the people who had known the subjects for more than one year. A post-test was given in the last observation. The quantitative data were analyzed using quantitative analysis, Mann Whitney statistical, and the qualitative data from observation and interviews were analyzed using qualitative data analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in the perception of character, self esteem, and motivation of the primary school teachers after the implementation of the proactive psychological skills training technique. However, there was no significant difference in self-perception, self-esteem, and motivation between the experiment group and the control group. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembentukan karakter melalui budaya sekolah yang dibangun di SDN Mangundikaran I Nganjuk, yang merupakan salah satu sekolah negeri yang menjadi sekolah unggulan dan favorit di Nganjuk. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, pengamatan (observasi), dan pencermatan dokumen. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat diketahui bahwa dalam menanamkan karakter pada siswa dilakukan dengan pembiasaan-pembiasaan melalui berbagai kegiatan, yaitu: (1) kegiatan rutin yang dilakukan siswa secara terus-menerus dan konsisten setiap saat; (2) kegiatan spontan yang dilakukan siswa secara spontan pada saat itu juga; (3) keteladanan merupakan perilaku, sikap guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan siswa dalam memberikan contoh melalui tindakan-tindakan yang baik sehingga diharapkan menjadi panutan bagi siswa lain; dan (4) pengondisian dengan cara penciptaan kondisi yang mendukung keterlaksanaan pendidikan karakter. Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, kultur sekolah, karakter siswa BUILDING STUDENTS CHARACTER THROUGH CULTURE SCHOOL IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Abstract: This research aimed to describe character shaping through school culture developed in SDN Mangundikaran I Nganjuk, one of the state schools which became a school of excellence and favourite in Nganjuk. Data collection was conducted through the techniques of interview, observation, and document study. Based on the data analysis it was found that nurturing character on the students was conducted by habit formation through various activities: (1) routine activities done by the students continously and cosistently every moment; (2) spontaneous activities; (3) role-modeling, which was the behaviors and attitudes of the teachers, educational staff, and students in giving models through good actions so that they can be good examples for other students; and (4) conditioning by creating a situation or an atmosphere supporting the accomplishment of character education Keywords: character education, school culture, students’ character

Abstract

Abstrak: Nilai keberagaman merupakan fakta yang ada pada anak-anak didik kita yang secara makro mereka berasal dari berbagai latar belakang budaya dan memengaruhi cara hidup yang diejawantahkan pada level mikro di dalam kelas. merupakan sebuah kaidah yang menjadi pegangan dalam berinteraksi dengan sesama manusia dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Nilai tersebut perlu dijunjung bersama oleh suatu komunitas agar terjadi keadaan saling menghargai, toleransi, serta menghargai perbedaan dan persamaan dalam kehidupan bersama. Hal tersebut seharusnya menjadi pegangan bagi peserta didik di sekolah yang menyelenggarakan model inklusi. Nilai keberagaman dapat diinternalisasikan ke dalam diri peserta didik sekolah dasar penyelenggara inklusi melalui pembelajaran pemodelan, pembiasaan, saling berdiskusi, model kognitif, dan pengondisian sekolah dalam menghargai prestasi yang berdasarkan keunikan masing-masing peserta didik. It is a rule that a credential in interacting with others in public life. This value should be upheld together by a community to state a mutual respect, tolerance, and respect the differences and similarities in life. It should become a handbook for students in schools that held a model of inclusion. The diversity value can be internalized into the self-organizing primary school learners through learning inclusion modeling, habituation, mutual discussion, cognitive models, and schools conditioning in honoring achievement by the uniqueness of each learner. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pembinaan karakter melalui keteladanan guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan Kepala Sekolah di Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Yogya-karta. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Sekolah Islam Al Azhar Yogyakarta melakukan pendidikan karakter melalui keteladanan berupa tutur kata, ciri kepribadian, sikap, dan penampilan yang sesuai dengan karakter religius, disiplin, demokratis, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, cinta damai, peduli lingkungan, dan peduli sosial. Kata Kunci: pembinaan karakter, keteladanan guru, pendidikan kewarganegaraan BUILDING CHARACTER THROUGH THE EXAMPLE OF CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION TEACHERS IN AL AZHAR ISLAMIC SCHOOL OF YOGYAKARTA Abstract: This research aims to reveral the character building through the example of citizenship education teachers in Al Azhar Islamic School of Yogyakarta. This research was qualitative research using the descriptive approach. The subjects of the research were citizenship education teachers and principal of Al Azhar Islamic School of Yogyakarta. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validation was done by triangulation. The result of this study is as follows citizenship education teachers in Al Azhar Islamic School of Yogyakarta build student’s character through the exemplary form of speech, personality traits, attitudes, and performance of being suitable for the character of religiousity, discipline, democracy, the spirit of nationalism, patriotism, love of peace, environmental care, and care of society. Abstract

Abstract: This paper is aimed at revealing an idea that some positive values that are similar to the traits of character education can be generated through peer assessment. Peer assessment is defined as an assessment which involves the process of reviewing, valuing and giving comments and suggestion toward their peer‘s work. This way the students subconsciously generate some positive values such as respectful, helping and understanding, confident (self-esteem), independent, persistent, and responsible. Therefore, peer assessment offers academic benefits such as personal accountability, as well as interpersonal and collaborative skills that not only help students academically but also socially as a member of society. Abstract

AbstrakBuku dapat menjadi media pendidikan karakter pada anak usia dini karena efektif dan efisien. Di sinilah pendidikan karakter dapat diajarkan secara halus dan mudah diterima oleh anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan kesesuaian konteks dan ilustrasi buku pendidikan karakter untuk anak usia dini berdasarkan teori desain; dan pendapat ahli tentang buku pendidikan karakter yang sesuai dengan konteks anak usia dini. Metode penelitian adalah metode kualitatif-studi kasus. Observasi dan wawancara digunakan untuk pengambilan data dan validasi menggunakan teknik triangulasi teori. Analisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa (1) kesesuaian konteks dan ilustrasi buku pendidikan karakter untuk anak usia dini yang ditemukan meliputi konteks linguistik, konteks emotif, konteks situasional, ilustrasi tokoh yang memberi contoh kebaikan, warna yang cerah; dan (2) jenis buku cerita “Zayn Belajar Disiplin, buku “Aktivitas Pendikar, dan buku aktivitas-komparasi “Aku Anak Baik di Sekolah” merupakan  buku pendidikan karakter yang sesuai dengan konteks anak usia dini sehingga layak digunakan sebagai media untuk mengajarkan karakter bagi anak usia dini. Kata Kunci: konteks-ilustrasi, buku bergambar, pendidikan, karakter  AbstractBooks can be a medium of character education in early childhood because it is effective and efficient. This is where character education can be taught smoothly and easily accepted by young children. The aims of this research were describe and explain the suitability of contexts and illustrations of character education books for early childhood based on design theory; And expert opinion on character education books that fit the context of early childhood. The research method is qualitative method-case study. Observations and interviews are used for data retrieval and validation using triangulation theory techniques. Data analysis using content analysis techniques. The results of the study explain that (1) the suitability of contexts and illustrations of character education books for early childhood were found to include linguistic context, emotive context, situational context, illustration of figures that give examples of goodness, bright colors; and (2) the type of storybook "Zayn Belajar Disiplin, the book"Aktivitas Pendikar”, and the comparative activity book "Aku Anak Baik di Sekolah" are character education book appropriate to the context of early childhood so it is worthy to be used as a medium to teach character to early childhood.Keywords: Context-illustration, picture book, education, character

Abstract

Abstract: Culturally, wisdom is the basis for the integration of cognitive and affective domains that show the qualities of personality. Culture is the bridge between health and psychology (mentality). Health comes from the word wholeness, to be complete. Wise men live their daily lives in accordance with wisw perspectives and wise values. Culture and wisdom help us reach our wholeness by illuminating our inner world with the wisdom of our ancestors, and help, and help us discover our talents. The wholeness within the individual and the wholeness and relations with the nature are the essentials of character development, that sooner or later will create harmony. Our tradition as ancient rattle keepers contains the best seeds of the harvest for whatever reason. In community building our life is enhanced. We are constantly growing as persons. Our life has meaning. You can see how their lives are better because you are part of them. You have a place in their circle of life. Their actions make the world around them a better place to grow. They resolve conflicts and in other ways maximize harmony and general well-being. They live compassionately. Community construct is constantly taking place between themselves and the universe, and what needs to be done. The point is they see themselves and the rest of humanity as being itself in evolving and living with values. Key words: culture, wisdom, person, self, community
