Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams-Games-Tournaments (TGT) terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada rendahnya kedua kemampuan tersebut di SMP Negeri 28 Medan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group, melibatkan dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-3 sebagai kelas kontrol, yang masing-masing berjumlah 25 orang dan dipilih secara acak. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan strategi TGT, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian pada materi relasi dan fungsi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis dari 60% menjadi 85% pada kelas eksperimen. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kedua kemampuan tersebut. Strategi TGT terbukti efektif dan direkomendasikan sebagai pendekatan inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis pengaruh penggunaan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem-Based Learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Fenomena rendahnya capaian pembelajaran matematika di Indonesia, serta kebutuhan mendesak akan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mendorong berpikir tingkat tinggi, menjadi latar belakang studi ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menelaah 30 artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2019 hingga 2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik dokumentasi dari basis data seperti Google Scholar, SINTA, Garuda, dan DOAJ. Artikel yang terpilih dianalisis secara tematik dan naratif berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan, desain LKPD, dan capaian pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan LKPD berbasis PBL secara konsisten mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa serta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, logis, dan reflektif. Temuan juga mengungkapkan peningkatan keaktifan, kemandirian belajar, serta motivasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Secara teoritis, hasil studi mendukung pendekatan konstruktivistik dan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup penguatan kebijakan pendidikan berbasis bukti, pengembangan perangkat ajar yang kontekstual, serta pelatihan guru dalam desain dan implementasi LKPD PBL. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan LKPD berbasis digital dan studi longitudinal yang mencakup dimensi afektif dan psikomotorik untuk pemahaman yang lebih holistik.

Abstract

This study examines how adversity quotient affects their mathematical problem-solving skills while also analyzing the extent of its impact at MTs Qur'an Kisaran. This research is quantitative and uses an ex post facto technique involving 35 eighth-grade students as samples determined using cluster random sampling as the sampling procedure. Tests were used as a measure of mathematical problem-solving, and a questionnaire was used as a measure of adversity quotient to obtain research data. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical approaches, including simple linear regression. Linearity is confirmed by a significance value of 0.557 > 0.05, indicating a linear relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. Adversity quotient has a positive impact on mathematical problem-solving ability, with a significance value of 0.01 < 0.05, according to simple linear regression analysis. The coefficient of determination also shows that the adversity quotient contributes 75.3% variance to students' problem-solving abilities, indicating that it significantly affects the level of students' mathematical problem-solving.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is an approach that connects mathematical concepts with cultural contexts. This study aims to explore the ethnomathematics contained in the process of making traditional rengginang food and how it can be used as an effective medium for learning mathematics. Rengginang, as one of Indonesia's traditional foods, has great potential to be integrated into mathematics learning through a manufacturing process that involves various mathematical concepts. The research method used is qualitative with an ethnographic approach, which includes observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that each stage in making Rengginang, from soaking sticky rice to frying, contains relevant mathematical concepts, such as number operations, social arithmetic, counting, comparison, geometry and time measurement. This study concludes that the process of making rengginang contains various mathematical concepts that are indirectly applied by the community. This finding shows that mathematical values can be found in traditional cultural practices, proving that ethnomathematics is an effective approach to linking local wisdom and mathematics education. Through an ethnomathematics approach, the tradition of making rengginang can not only be seen as a culture, but also as a learning medium that can help understand mathematics in a more realistic and life-like way

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, terutama pada materi yang bersifat abstrak seperti pecahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media simulasi interaktif PhET terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Bubulak 03 dengan subjek sebanyak 20 siswa kelas III yang terdiri dari 11 siswa laki-laki dan 9 siswa perempuan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimental tipe One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa 10 soal esai yang mengukur tingkat berpikir tinggi (C4–C6). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 48,00 meningkat menjadi 80,50 pada posttest. Hasil analisis N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa 55% siswa mengalami peningkatan sedang, 35% tinggi, dan 10% rendah, tanpa ada siswa yang mengalami penurunan. Uji Paired Sample t-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara nilai sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa model integrasi PBL dengan media PhET efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pecahan serta menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, kolaboratif, dan bermakna di tingkat dasar sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of implementing string-crossing media on the mathematics achievement of elementary school students, specifically focusing on multiplication. The research was motivated by the low performance of students in understanding multiplication concepts, which is often linked to the conventional lecture-based teaching approach and the limited use of concrete instructional tools. Employing a quantitative research method with a posttest-only control group design, the study involved 36 third-grade students from SDN Batobella 1, randomly assigned into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received lessons supported by string-crossing media, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. Data were gathered through a validated achievement test. After confirming the assumptions of normality and homogeneity, data analysis was conducted using an independent samples t-test. The results demonstrated a statistically significant difference in mean scores between the experimental group (M = 81.11) and the control group (M = 70.00), with p < 0.05. These outcomes suggest that incorporating string-crossing media substantially improves students’ learning results in mathematics. The media effectively transforms abstract multiplication concepts into concrete, visual, and interactive experiences, which particularly support students with visual and kinesthetic learning preferences. Therefore, it is recommended as a viable instructional alternative for contextual learning, especially in areas with limited access to digital educational technologies.

Abstract

The ability to understand, apply, and interpret mathematical concepts in the context of real life is known as mathematical literacy. However, Indonesian mathematical literacy is still inadequate, as shown by the results of the 2022 PISA survey. The same thing happened at MTs NU Hasyim Asy'ari 2 Kudus. Based on the results of the preliminary test related to the aspect of mathematical literacy, the average score was 24.85 (25% passed the KKM). In addition, students' learning independence is less than optimal because learning is more teacher-centered. A more active and creative learning approach, such as discovery learning with wordwall media, is needed to overcome this problem. The purpose of this study was to examine the improvement of mathematical literacy and learning independence of students at MTs NU Hasyim Asy'ari 2 Kudus through the paradigm of the discovery learning model with wordwall media. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type. The sampling technique applied was cluster random sampling, where class VIII-A was the experimental class and class VIII-D was the control class. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires, then analyzed using independent sample t-test and N-Gain test after fulfilling the normality test and homogeneity test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in learning independence between the two classes, with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 (<0.05). Meanwhile, the results of the N-Gain test of mathematical literacy skills showed an average value of the experimental class of 76.5% which was categorized as effective, while the average value of the control class was 32.1% which was categorized as ineffective. Thus, the integration of the discovery learning model with wordwall media can improve mathematical literacy and student learning independence at MTs NU Hasyim Asy'ari 2 Kudus

Abstract

Matematika sering dianggap sulit dan menakutkan bagi peserta didik SD. Ketidakmampuan peserta didik untuk mengaitkan konsep-konsep matematika dengan pengalaman sehari-hari mereka sering kali menjadi salah satu penyebab utama kesulitan ini. Agar matematika lebih mudah dipahami, matematika perlu diajarkan secara kontekstual melalui kegiatan sehari-hari. Etnomatematika merupakan salah satu solusi dengan mempelajari konsep-konsep matematika melalui konteks budaya lokal peserta didik. Misalnya, kerajinan tangan dan permainan tradisional dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu mengajarkan berbagai konsep matematika dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasi etnomatematika dalam pembelajaran matematika SD menggunakan permainan tradisional Dakuan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 84,21% peserta didik telah mencapai KKTP. Respon peserta didik terhadap implementasi etnomatematika pada pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 94,3%. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya pembelajaran matematika dengan memanfaatkan objek budaya lokal seperti permainan tradisional yang ada di sekitar peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze junior high school students' mathematical proof abilities in Pythagoras' theorem in terms of resilience and cognitive style. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consist of six eighth-grade students selected based on high, moderate, and low categories in the mathematical proof ability test, as well as considering resilience levels (high, moderate, low) and cognitive styles (field independent). Data collection techniques include a mathematical proof ability test, a resilience questionnaire, a GEFT cognitive style test, and interviews. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that students with high resilience and field-independent cognitive styles have good mathematical proof abilities, are able to construct arguments logically and systematically, and are not easily discouraged when solving problems. Students with moderate resilience and field-dependent cognitive styles demonstrated adequate proof abilities but tended to require guidance and were less independent in their thinking. Meanwhile, students with low resilience and field-dependent cognitive styles had low proof abilities, tended to be confused in constructing arguments, and easily gave up when faced with difficulties. This study shows that students' mathematical proof abilities are influenced by a combination of resilience and cognitive style. Therefore, teachers need to consider both affective and cognitive factors in the mathematics learning process to optimize students' mathematical thinking abilities, particularly in the aspect of proof

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran PATRAFU (Papan Transformasi Fungsi) guna meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi transformasi fungsi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri atas tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Subjek penelitian adalah 26 siswa kelas XI MA Fatahillah. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli, angket respon siswa, dan tes pemahaman konsep. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media PATRAFU memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 100% dari ahli media dan 75% dari ahli materi, yang termasuk dalam kategori layak. Skor rata-rata angket respon siswa sebesar 93,73% menunjukkan bahwa media ini diterima dengan sangat baik. Pemahaman konsep siswa meningkat dari 26,06% (pretest) menjadi 70,34% (posttest). Hasil analisis gain ternormalisasi menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,6 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Meskipun ketuntasan belajar klasikal belum sepenuhnya tercapai (hanya 73,08% siswa mencapai ketuntasan minimal sedang), penggunaan media PATRAFU menunjukkan potensi positif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa secara visual dan interaktif. Media ini direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran khususnya pada materi transformasi fungsi.
