Abstract

Background:   Stunting is a failure to grow and develop in children under 5 years of age and is caused by chronic malnutrition characterized by below normal length or height. In 2022 in Indonesia, the prevalence of stunting is around 8.4%, East Nusa Tenggara Province which has a stunting rate of 22.4%, in Kelapa Lima Village the stunting prevalence rate is 31.8%. The high stunting rate has forced many parties to move and take part in reduction stunting rates, including cadres and the community. Objective:  This study aims to analyze the impact of using a stunting early detection disk tool on the knowledge and attitudes of cadres regarding early stunting detection. Methods: The method in this study is quantitative, Quasi Experiment design with one group pre-test and post-test. Samples used purposive sampling with a total of 30 cadres. The independent variable is the early detection disk tool for stunting and the dependent variable is the knowledge and attitude of cadres. Results: The results of tested using Wilcoxon SPSS and obtained results p = 0.001 or a significance level of p <0.05, which means there is a difference between the level of knowledge and attitude before and after the provision of early detection of stunting using the early detection disk tool for stunting.

Abstract

Background: Fulfilling nurse satisfaction is very important because good nursing service will affect the quality and service quality of hospital agencies. The demand for nursing services makes nursing services implement computerized-based documentation. Currently, hospitals use information technology to improve the quality of patient care by using the E-RM system. Objective: The aim of this research is to determine nurses' satisfaction in nursing documentation with the E-RM system. Method: This type of research uses an analytical survey research design with a cross sectional design, the sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a sample size of 80 respondents. The inclusion of this research were nurses who carried out nursing documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is bivariate analysis with the chi-square test. Results: Based on the results of research that has been carried out, the majority of respondents' job satisfaction is in the satisfied category and most of the nursing documentation is in the good category.  Based on the results of statistical tests, the p value = 0.000 (α<0.05), this shows that there is a relationship between nurse satisfaction and nursing documentation with the E-RM system.

Abstract

Background: The health of female prospective brides is one of the most important factors in building a quality family. Premarital health examinations are crucial for detecting and addressing health issues before marriage. The aim of this study was to assess the health status of female prospective brides and analyze the relationship between relevant variables. Method: This was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 329 female prospective brides who visited X Primary Healthcare in Mataram between January and December 2022. A consecutive sampling method was used, with 267 participants involved. Results: The study found that most of the prospective brides were within the adult reproductive age range of 20-35 years (85%). The majority had a normal BMI (53%), did not suffer from Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) (79%), and more than half were not anemic (52%). Bivariate analysis revealed a significant relationship between BMI and Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) (p < 0.05). The Odds Ratio of 4.069 indicates that prospective brides with a low BMI were more likely to have a lower LILA.

Abstract

Background: Malaria is a disease caused by the plasmodium parasite transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquito. The high malaria endemic area is concentrated on Sumba Island. Aim: To identify the challenges and successes of malaria elimination programs in endemic areas. Method: This research is a literature review. The literature search process uses the Google Scholar database with the keywords 'Challenges and Successes of Malaria Elimination Programs in Endemic Areas'. Inclusion criteria are journals published in the 2022-2023 period, journal article types with quantitative, qualitative research methods and review results, journals can be accessed in full via full text pdf files, articles taken are national and international journal articles. Results: The challenges of malaria elimination programs in endemic areas are increasing resistance to treatment, decreasing vaccine efficacy, Human resources, infrastructure and supporting equipment are still lacking in quantity and quality, limited funding, weak community involvement programs, multisectors and stakeholders, geographical conditions, geology and community behavior. The success of malaria elimination programs in endemic areas by increasing capacity, capability, regional and national resilience, health and technical human resource competencies and leadership in disease control, expanding multisectoral initiative programs, holistic quality approaches involving individuals/ families/ communities, increasing investment in research and development of potentially transformative technologies used in malaria elimination programs. So, national and international multisectoral cooperation needs to be improved so that the target of eliminating malaria is achieved.

Abstract

Background: Malaria is an acute febrile disease caused by the plasmodium parasite that is transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquito. Highly endemic districts of malaria are still concentrated on Sumba Island. Objective: to identify factors influencing the incidence of malaria in East Nusa Tenggara. Method: This type of research is a literature review, literature search using the Google Scholar, ScinceDirect, PubMed, and Proquest databases with the keywords 'Factors influencing the incidence of malaria cases in East Nusa Tenggara'. Inclusion criteria are journals published in the period 2021-2022, original journal types of articles with quantitative and qualitative research methods, journals can be fully accessed via full text pdf files, articles taken are national and international journal articles. Results: Factors influencing the incidence of malaria are population mobility or history of travel to malaria endemic areas, living habits and going out of the house especially at night without using mosquito protection, low public awareness of the incidence of malaria, and the presence of mosquito breeding grounds in residential areas. The suggestions in this study are to maintain environmental cleanliness, increase awareness and lifestyle habits by implementing malaria prevention and limiting population mobility to malaria endemic areas.

Abstract

Background: The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates that there will be an increase in the number of people with DM in Indonesia from 9.1 million in 2014 to 14.1 million in 2035. With this figure, Indonesia is ranked 5th in the world. According to the 2013 Basic Health Research, the proportion of DM was 6.9% and was 10.9% in 2018. The increasing DM population has resulted in various complications including retinopathy, neuropathy and other complications. In one study it was found that diabetes patients with a history of diabetic ulcers had a 47% increased risk of death. Objective: the purpose of this literature review research is to obtain a theoretical overview of the results of other people's research that can support the solution of the problem being handled carefully. Method: A research method that searches and examines several journals or articles related to the subject of research to create a written work on a certain topic. Method: The method in this research is a literature review which contains descriptive findings from others research. Results: search for articles discussed in this research were 2 national journals and 3 international journals. In the article discussed, the results show that mindi has good antioxidant content, contains flavonoids and can reduce sugar levels.
