Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare character-based Islamic education management strategies in madrasah institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and comparative analysis approach, this research explores how education policies in both countries integrate Islamic values as a foundation for student character development. The results indicate that Indonesia, through the Merdeka Curriculum, emphasizes creativity, independence, and the strengthening of religious Pancasila student profiles. Meanwhile, Malaysia implements a structured national curriculum standard integrating naqliyyah and aqliyyah sciences, supported by significant government regulatory backing. The similarity between the two countries lies in positioning Islamic education as the primary instrument for instilling values of honesty, responsibility, and integrity. Significant differences were found in curriculum load and the flexibility of student interest pathways, where the Malaysian system tends to be more focused on relevant subjects compared to Indonesia's broader scope. These findings emphasize the importance of synergy between government policies, teacher role modeling, and social environment support in the successful internalization of Islamic character.

Abstract

Abstract: This research analyzes the reconciliation efforts against educational dualism in Indonesia through the integration of Islamic education into the National Education System from the post-independence era to the Reformation era. Islamic education in Indonesia has historically experienced a dichotomy resulting from the secular system inherited from Dutch colonialism, which separated general and religious knowledge. This study is a library research using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis of primary and secondary data, including books, journals, and policy documents. The results indicate that during the post-independence period (Old Order), the government began providing serious attention to madrasahs and pesantren as vital sources of public intelligence. Integration efforts strengthened during the New Order era with the enactment of Law No. 2 of 1989 as a step to harmonize Islamic and general education. In the Reformation era, this integration became formally established, although Islamic education now faces new challenges in adapting to information and communication technology. This research concludes that the integration of Islamic education is not merely an administrative effort but a strategic move to develop individuals capable of meeting contemporary challenges through a balance of faith and knowledge.

Abstract

An educational leader's ability to implement his leadership model is crucial for transformative leadership. According to research on the evolution of management and leadership, which sees people, performance, and organizational growth as interdependent sides, transformational leadership is rooted in the need for self-esteem and encourages leaders to be self-aware in their pursuit of excellence. The ability to envision a better future for the organization and then work towards making that future a reality through the combined efforts of all employees is at the heart of transformational leadership. This kind of leadership also centers on the leader's capacity to think creatively, articulately, socially, transform, and implement ideal thoughts that either come from within or emerge from interactions between stakeholders and members of the organization. As a manager, educator, and entrepreneur, he must pay close attention to the vision, mission, goals, programs, and activities in order to carry out the obligations of a transformational leader. Educational institutions have their own distinct cultures that are defined by the values, conventions, beliefs, traditions, and distinctive ways of thinking that all members of the organization adhere to and display in their actions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore post-crisis management strategies and the effectiveness of psychosocial support systems in Gazi University partner schools following the 2023 earthquake disaster. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, the research involved school principals, guidance counselors (PDR), and administrative staff as participants through purposeful sampling techniques. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and an analysis of crisis protocol documents. The results indicate that educational resilience is constructed through a three-layered intervention model encompassing emergency logistical aid, initial psychosocial support, and long-term clinical monitoring provided by Gazi University's SOHMER unit. Key findings underscore that the transition from administrative leadership to agile operational leadership, combined with the implementation of institutional perception management, is crucial in restoring teachers' emotional commitment and instructional stability. The synergy between the university and its partner schools creates a resilience ecosystem capable of mitigating the secondary impacts of crises on the educational community.

Abstract

This study explores the foundational role of Thai traditional philosophical thought in shaping the landscape of contemporary educational policies in Thailand. Historically rooted in a synthesis of Theravada Buddhism, Brahmanism, and local animistic beliefs, Thai philosophy emphasizes holistic development, moral integrity, and the "Middle Path." This paper examines how these classical tenets are integrated into modern frameworks, such as the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) applied to schooling and the National Education Act. Through a qualitative analysis of policy documents and philosophical texts, the research highlights a unique tension and synergy between Western-style globalization which prioritizes competitive skill sets and traditional values that prioritize "Right View" and communal harmony. The findings suggest that while modern policies strive for technological advancement, Thai traditional philosophy remains a critical anchor for maintaining national identity and fostering ethical citizenship. Ultimately, this research provides insights into how indigenous wisdom can serve as a corrective and complementary force to global educational trends.
