Abstract

This study aims to enhance the quality of santri through the selection and mentoring process of Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) participants in Wonoayu District as a strategy to produce a Qur’anic generation with strong character and competitiveness. The main challenges include limited regeneration at the village level, unequal access to training facilities, and unsustainable coaching programs. The study employs an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach combined with SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using a descriptive qualitative method with source triangulation. The findings reveal that active involvement of the community, trainers, and Islamic educational institutions serves as a key asset supporting program success. Approximately 80% of participants who underwent intensive training showed improvement in technical skills and self-confidence, based on trainers’ evaluations and activity records. Additionally, several TPQ initiated cross-village joint training programs to strengthen Qur’anic social networks. These findings confirm that synergy among local actors through optimizing community assets can create sustainable and contextual coaching models. In conclusion, MTQ activities in Wonoayu function not only as a religious competition but also as a medium for community empowerment and Islamic character education relevant to today’s youth.

Abstract

This community engagement activity aims to Strengthen Small Business Legality by providing assistance in obtaining the Business Identification Number (NIB) through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. The core problem addressed is the significant implementation gap between the national digital licensing policy and the ground reality: low digital literacy and a minimal perception of business legality among Small Business actors in rural areas like Dusun Marongan, Sukomakmur Village. Operating without official licenses, these businesses are constrained from accessing government empowerment programs and formal capital. The method employed was Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), strategically chosen to overcome the human factor challenges by focusing on activating the partners' intrinsic assets, particularly their strong aspiration for growth (dream). The core intervention was implemented intensively through hands-on, one-on-one technical assistance during the Destiny stage, serving as an effective novelty. The results successfully achieved were twofold: (1) the successful issuance of NIBs for the assisted Small Business partners, granting them formal legal legitimacy; and (2) increased digital confidence and technical skills among partners to utilize the OSS system independently. The conclusion is that the community-based assistance model (ABCD) offers a practical and crucial solution to overcome the digital implementation gap, directly fostering legal and sustainable small businesses.

Abstract

Bullying behavior continues to haunt Indonesian children over time. Cases of bullying are widespread among children, particularly occurring in school environments and residential areas. In Indonesia, bullying cases frequently take place within educational institutions. This is supported by data from the National Commission for Child Protection, which reported that 2011 recorded the highest number of bullying cases in schools and residential environments, with 339 cases of violence, 82 of which resulted in death. This program aims to identify bullying behavior among adolescents and to implement interventions through educational and group-based processes in Tanjung Pagar Village, North Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City. The activity design includes mapping, education, poster creation, games, and film screenings. Data collection instruments utilized questionnaires. The data collection techniques involved identifying bullying behavior among adolescents, followed by interventions in the form of education, group processes, poster creation, and film screenings. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis.

Abstract

Elementary school years represent a crucial developmental stage that requires optimal stimulation across various domains, particularly in social development. Self-confidence, as a key element in character formation, is not innate but can be cultivated through social interaction and experience. Many students face difficulties adapting to new environments, leading to low confidence, anxiety, and fear of speaking in public. To address these challenges, a Muhadloroh training program was implemented to strengthen public speaking skills among students of SDN Windu, Karangbinangun. This program employed the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, actively involving students in every stage, including observation, mentoring, and direct practice. Activities included training as a master of ceremonies (MC), delivering speeches, and creating motivational chants. The results demonstrated significant improvements in students’ courage, creativity, and communication skills. Therefore, Muhadloroh training is proven effective in fostering self-confidence, enhancing public speaking abilities, and developing communicative and confident student character.

Abstract

This study examines an educational mentoring program on utilizing waste as loose parts in differentiated learning for early childhood education at RA Miftakhul Hikmah Mojosari. The background of this study lies in the limited creativity of teachers in implementing differentiated learning, mainly due to restricted learning media. Additionally, inorganic waste is often directly transferred to waste banks without optimal utilization, despite its potential as an affordable and environmentally friendly educational resource. This mentoring program was conducted using a service-learning method with a direct service approach. Teachers actively implemented learning activities at RA Miftakhul Hikmah while receiving guidance from service-learning supervisors. The strategy consisted of three stages: preparation (including observation, interviews, curriculum material development, and learning strategy design), implementation (utilizing recycled materials as educational play tools), and evaluation (assessing the outcomes of the mentoring program). The results indicate that loose parts derived from plastic waste, bottles, cardboard, and bottle caps can be effectively used as constructive, sensory, and numeracy learning media. Children showed higher enthusiasm during learning activities, while teachers demonstrated increased creativity in designing differentiated instruction. In conclusion, the utilization of waste as loose parts is effective in improving learning quality and fostering environmental awareness among early childhood learners.

Abstract

This study analyzes the economic transformation of an Islamic boarding school through a Business Incubation Program in the fisheries unit of BUMPes Ulul Albab Yogyakarta. Using a qualitative case study, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and analyzed with the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Findings show that before the program, the fisheries business faced structural challenges, including high feed costs, dependence on external seed, weak management, lack of financial records, and low entrepreneurial literacy among students. After implementation, significant changes appeared in three aspects: first, technical diversification of commodities such as catfish, gourami, and pangasius, along with feed innovation using local resources like azolla, papaya leaves, banana stems, and fermented pellets; second, institutional strengthening through a student cooperative with transparent finance and profit reinvestment; third, socio-cultural change marked by a spiritualpreneur ethos integrating spiritual values, economic independence, and social responsibility. The study concludes that the model improves economic performance while fostering a sustainable Islamic economic ecosystem with replication potential. It also highlights the importance of local adaptation, institutional support, and cross-sector collaboration for scalability future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital literacy level of students majoring in Qur'anic Studies and Interpretation at IAI Badrus Sholeh, who are located in a boarding school environment, and to examine the effectiveness of training in the use of websites for searching for classical Islamic texts as an effort to improve academic competence. The pre-test results show that students' digital literacy is still low to moderate, especially in terms of access to and utilization of digital scientific resources, while the use of digital media is mostly limited to general needs such as social media. The training was conducted in stages through workshops, book search practices, group discussions, and mentoring, which equipped students with conceptual understanding as well as technical skills in optimizing the classical book website. The post-test evaluation showed a significant increase in both technical skills and changes in students' attitudes towards the importance of digital literacy in scientific studies. These findings confirm that the integration of digital literacy through structured training can strengthen the academic tradition of Islamic boarding schools by combining classical scientific heritage (turats) and the use of modern technology. Conceptually, this research contributes to the development of an Islamic education model that is adaptive to the demands of the digital era without abandoning the roots of the Islamic boarding school tradition.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent challenge faced by first-year university students in understanding and applying academic writing conventions required in higher education. The research responds to the gap between students’ writing ability and the methodological and linguistic standards expected in academic contexts. The primary objective was to develop students’ competence in writing scientific papers that are logical, structured, and ethically sound. The program employed Participatory Action Research (PAR) combined with the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, encouraging students to engage actively through experiential learning, reflection, and peer collaboration. Conducted over two days at the Institut Agama Islam (IAI) Ngawi, the training involved 150 participants, including PMII cadres and first-year students. Findings revealed significant improvement in participants’ understanding of academic paper structure, citation practices, and argument development. Moreover, participants demonstrated greater confidence and motivation to write scientific papers independently. The study concludes that participatory and asset-based learning strategies effectively transform academic writing from a procedural task into an intellectual and reflective process, fostering long-term academic literacy and integrity.
