AGRIDES: Jurnal Agribisnis Perdesaan adalah jurnal ilmiah berkala yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Agribisnis, Jurusan Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian Universitas Lambung Mangkurat secara regular 2 (dua) kali setahun yaitu pada bulan April dan Oktober. Jurnal ini merupakan media penyebarluasan informasi yang merupakan hasil pemikiran dan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh dosen, peneliti dan mahasiswa yang berminat dalam pengembangan agribisnis. Abstract

Horticultural crops have high economic value because of its high price and short gestation period. Several vegetables can be cultivated several times in a year, mainly in tropical regions where the growing season is not restricted by winter. The study calculates the costs, revenue, income, and profit of scallioncultivation, analyze it s feasibility, and excavate the farmer problemsduring cultivation . The average total cost per farm is IDR 20,448,405.55. The farmer producesas much as 1833.33 kg per farm and generates revenue IDR 33,383,333.33 per farm . The gross revenueand profit are IDR 15,408,173 and IDR 1,934,927.78 per farm per season, in that order. The farming is feasible as the RCR is 1. 63. The field survey also identifies that resistant pests and disease infestation are the main problem. They are hardly eradicated with common pesticide.

Abstract

Public storage is a place or building where a group of farmers store grain or other foodstuffs to anticipate the scarce season, crop failure due to natural disasters and pests/diseases, and the possibility of a temporary shortage. The study is intended to know the level of farmer participation in utilizing the public food food storage, the factors associated with the farmer participation , and excavatethe problems faced by farmers i n participatingPublic Food Storage Program in Dosa Danau Karya, Kecamatan Anjir Pasar,Kabupaten Barito Kuala. The study find s that the level of farmerpartici pation in food stora ge activities can be classified into low level. There is no significant relationship between age, education, experience, and acreage of the farming area with the farmer participation. The most fundamental problem is capital problem, as well as the jealousy of non-member farmer.

Abstract

Each of transmigrants in the Desa Sawahan wasgiven two parcels of land of 1 ha for crop cultivation and 0.5 ha for housing and home garden as their livelihood;and todevelop the agricultural area. In order to survive, they cultivate various crops and vegetables in those spacious lands. However, farmers have less concern in optimizing their land. By this fact,a linear programming model is needed to determine the optimal combination of vegetables which give maximum income. The study calculates the total cost and income from combination of vegetable cultivation , calculate the income of optimized combination, and estimate the optimized combination which gives maximum revenue. On average, farmers spend IDR 2,222,041 per season on the farming patt ern I and generate income IDR 4,556,521 per season. Meanwhile, total cost and incomeon farming pattern II are IDR 2,121,956 and IDR 4,816,312, respectively. The optimization increases farmer incom e of about 5.28 percent and 8.12 percent for farming pattern I and II , accord ingly. The farming pattern II (chili - bean) is advised as it has higher income (IDR 5,207,174).

Abstract

Recently various types and brands of pesticide have circulated on the area of Hulu Sungai Tengah. Each of product s has label and packaging,which show the advantages as well as certification of safety. Mast of them have been used by farmers, especially paddy grower. The study excavates the level of farmer knowledge on pesticide use, and identifies internal and external factors which affect farmers ' knowledge in Desa Kasarangan, Kecamatan Labuan Amas Utara, Kabupaten Hu/u Sungai Tengah. The farmers have high knowledge of pesticide use (score 87.87%}. The internal factors do not have a significant correl ation to level of knowledge, while the external factor (land acreage) has significant corre lation.

Abstract

Since the last decade, the increased onion demandforraw consumption and seed has not been fulfilled by local production . Thus, the import tents to increase year by year. On the other hand, Indonesia has large arable land which can be used for onion cultivation . Banjarbaru is second largest of onion producers in Kalimantan in 2014. The study calculates the costs and revenues of onion farming and their contribution to the total cost and total revenue of farmer household in Banjarbaru . The RCR (Revenue Cost Ratio) is calculated and the problems faced by farmers also identified.On average, the onion farming generates revenue ID 82.99 million per hectare, while the average total cost is IDR 56.68million per hectare. The cultiv ation is feasible as RCR value is 1.46. Problems faced by farmers are disease exposure (fusarium wilt) andchanging seasons during the planting period.

Abstract

The fisheries sector has an important role in the economy . The sector also provides benefits in supplying nutritious food to the Indonesian people . Broadly speaking, the nutrient cont ent of both types of freshwater fish and marine fish is rich in protein and vitamins. The study determines the preferences of society and describes the attributes that most consumers consider in the decision to buy freshwater fis h or marinefish i n the Bauntung Market, Banjarbaru. The consumer preference in the type fre shwater fish is higher that the marine fish. The attributes that consumers consideredin the purchase decision are income and the number of family members.

Abstract

The social interaction is useful in observing and studying the various problems in the community . By applying a participatory approach , it allows the community to identify their own problems andempower themselves to overcome the problems. The study determine the level of social interaction among members of farmer groups, the level of farmer participation in extension activities , and the correlation between two factors in Kecamatan Banua Lawas, Tabalong. The study finds that the level of social interaction, which include social contact and communication, and the level of farmer participation in extension activities are in the medium category . Both factors also have significant correlation.

Abstract

Kecamatan Liang Anggang is one of the centers of horticulture production in Banjarbaru . However, farmers are still dealing with limited resource of capital, land, technology used, as well as resource allocation . In addition, small farmers have to deal with high ri sk and uncertainty. The study calculates the amount of costs, revenues, and gross margins of water spinach, spinach, and mustardgreen cultivation . The optimum combination of three vegetables, which gives the maximum revenue,subject to limited resources, is also discovered by using LINDO.By spending average cost IDR 2,936,409.86 per farming season, farmers in the area generate an average of revenue IDR 4,761,000.00, with an average gross margin IDR 1,824,590.14. After optimization, the farm income increase 94.86 percent. Based on the optimization using LINDO softw are, the maximum income is achieved by mustardgree n farming. It is the most valuable vegetables amon g others.
