Abstract

Server room security is a critical aspect of industrial operations, including at the Trangkil Sugar Factory, where all digital systems and production machine controls depend on the stability of IT infrastructure. The primary issue often encountered is unstable temperature or extreme humidity, which, if left unaddressed, can damage hardware components or even trigger fire risks due to electrical short circuits. This study aims to design an automated temperature, humidity, and smoke monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to minimize these risks. The system was developed using the ESP32 microcontroller integrated with the DHT22 sensor for monitoring temperature and humidity, alongside the MQ2 sensor for smoke detection. The Research and Development (R&D) method was employed to ensure the system's accuracy in a real-world environment. Testing results indicate that the system provides a rapid response; if the temperature exceeds 21°C or humidity goes above 45%, a warning LED is activated. Furthermore, early warnings in the form of real-time notifications are sent directly to the technician's smartphone via a Telegram Bot, and a buzzer is triggered upon smoke detection. With this system, server room supervision becomes more efficient as it can be conducted remotely, allowing potential hardware damage to be prevented at an early stage.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design and build a web-based cashier application to solve the problems of transaction recording, report generation, and inventory management of product size variants which are still done manually using bookkeeping and Microsoft Excel at the Haii Shoes Kendal Store. The software development method used in this research is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a Waterfall model approach. According to the development specifications, the software used to build this system includes the ReactJS library on the client-side interface (frontend), the ExpressJS framework on the server-side system (backend), Prisma ORM with the MySQL database management system, and Postman for API service testing. The analysis results of this study indicate that the built system has successfully automated sales recording (real-time), provided inventory management features along with their size variants precisely, and presented sales and profit recapitulation reports that can be exported. Based on the test results using the Black Box method and validation from end-users, all system functionalities have operated very well following the operational needs of the store.

Abstract

The rising incidence of lung cancer is often outpaced by the constraints of medical resources, creating a critical gap that frequently leads to diagnostic delays and hindered treatment interventions. Early-stage detection is therefore fundamentally important to boost therapy efficacy and extend patient survival rates. This study proposes a computational diagnostic model utilizing the Naïve Bayes algorithm to classify lung cancer status based on structured clinical datasets encompassing demographic profiles, smoking behaviors, and patient reported symptoms. Data integrity was prioritized through rigorous preprocessing, which included handling missing values and transforming categorical variables into a numerical format suitable for probabilistic modeling. The Naïve Bayes framework was chosen for its interpretability, robustness, and efficiency in handling tabular clinical data. Empirical evaluations yielded highly promising results, with the proposed model achieving an accuracy of 95%, precision of 98%, recall of 96%, and an F1-score of 97%. These findings validate the capability of the algorithm to provide dependable diagnostic predictions, demonstrating its potential as a decision support tool to streamline early screening processes for lung cancer.

Abstract

Vibe coding is a software development approach that intensively leverages Large Language Models (LLMs), where developers act as directors and validators rather than direct code writers. This study aims to: (1) characterize vibe coding scientifically, (2) measure its impact on productivity and code quality, (3) identify associated risks, and (4) formulate practical adoption recommendations. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 47 publications from Scopus, IEEE Xplore, and ACM DL (2021–2025) was conducted, combined with an eight-week controlled experiment on two homogeneous groups of fi-nal-year Informatics Engineering students (control n=30, experimental n=30; Mann-Whitney U=427, p=0.83). Results showed the vibe coding group completed an average of 8.3 features (SD=1.2) vs. 5.4 features (SD=0.9) in the conventional group, a statistically significant difference (t(58)=10.47, p<0.001, Cohen’s d=2.70). However, the vibe coding group exhibited a significantly higher bug rate (5.1 bugs/100 LOC vs. 3.8 bugs/100 LOC; t(58)=3.84, p<0.001) and lower self-understood code pro-ficiency (5.9 vs. 8.4 out of 10; t(58)=-9.12, p<0.001). The study concludes that vibe coding effectively increases short-term productivity but risks technical skill erosion and hidden technical debt without rigorous software engineering practices.

Abstract

The rapid progress of digital transformation has prompted village governments to adopt web-based information systems to increase transparency and public participation. However, many village news portals still face management issues such as unstructured workflows, inconsistent content updates, and a lack of systematic project planning. This study aims to design a Project Management Information System (PMIS) for the Kalisari Village News Portal using the Agile methodology. This research uses a Research and Development approach by adopting a Scrum framework, which includes needs analysis, product backlog formulation, iterative sprint development, system testing, and evaluation. Data was collected through interviews, system observations, and user satisfaction questionnaires. The results show that Agile-based PMIS supports more structured project planning, clearer task distribution, and continuous monitoring of portal development activities. Continuous iterative development and user feedback enable the system to adapt effectively to changing human resource needs and limitations at the village level. The proposed system contributes to improving information governance, operational efficiency, and the quality of village news portal services. This study shows that Agile-based project management is an appropriate and sustainable approach to developing village-scale information.

Abstract

Human resources are a crucial component in an institution, particularly in hospital environments. This study aims to analyze employee attendance data at RSUP Dr. Rivai Abdullah and to develop a model for grouping attendance levels using the K-Means clustering method. The K-Means method is applied to classify attendance data based on several variables, including discipline, punctuality, and lateness. The data used in this study consist of employee attendance records over a specific period obtained from the hospital’s personnel information system. To evaluate the quality of the clustering results, the Davies-Bouldin Index(DBI) was employed. The DBI value is used to determine the optimality of the generated clusters, where a smaller DBI value indicates better clustering quality. The results show that employee attendance data can be grouped into several clusters representing levels of discipline, namely disciplined, punctual, and late employees, with a DBI value indicating optimal clustering performance. These clustering results can assist hospital management in identifying groups of employees with low attendance levels who require further attention and evaluation. Therefore, the implementation of the K-Means clustering method evaluated using the Davies-Bouldin Index proves to be effective in supporting objective and measurable analysis of employee attendance data and can serve as a basis for decision-making related to performance evaluation and employee discipline policies.

Abstract

The rapid development of health services currently requires every health service provider to be able to immediately meet the desires of its customers. The use of information technology requires a comprehensive security system. One of these security is physical security. In addition to physical security, the need to store and use data quickly needs to be a must for organizations. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The results of this study, to measure server performance using the JMeter tool. Testing was carried out on the web from the Nutanix server with 3 tests. So there is a difference in the number of requests where in test 3 the number of requests increased much more with a lower number of samples than the number of requests and the number of samples from the previous 2 tests. While to measure server security using OWAS ZAP with very good results, there is only 1 with a high risk level, namely a vulnerability with a high impact.

Abstract

This study aims to design and test the effectiveness of the Saka Bhayangkara POLRES Boyolali website as a means of information and registration. Testing was conducted on 40 users using multiple linear regression analysis with SmartPLS 4.1.1.2. The results of the study indicate that the website was successfully designed and able to assist administrative officers in the registration system to be more effective and efficient. Black-box testing confirmed that the system functioned as expected without any errors. Quantitatively, the variables Information Quality (IQ) and Service Interaction Quality (SIQ) have a significant effect on user satisfaction, while Quality of Use (UQ) has no partial effect. Thus, this website is considered effective and efficient in supporting the registration and administration process. Further research is recommended to develop a mobile-based platform such as Android.

Abstract

The paradigm of urban planning has undergone drastic changes due to the digital transformation, shifting toward a smart city model supported by big data, artificial intelligence, information technology, and integrated digital systems. However, human resource readiness and digital competencies are just as important as technological infrastructure for the success of smart city development efforts. Through an Integrative Literature Review (ILR), this study aims to synthesize the conceptual history, multidimensional causes, and governance implications related to the digital skills gap in smart city development. Thematic synthesis and comparative mapping were used to comprehensively evaluate 25 journal articles indexed by Scopus. According to the study’s findings, the digital skills gap has evolved from a mere labor market mismatch into a multifaceted governance challenge, encompassing technological, institutional, societal, leadership, and ethical dimensions. This study also demonstrates how the digital skills gap impacts data-driven governance, a smart city’s capacity for innovation, digital inclusion, and socio-economic equity. It highlights digital capacity as a strategic prerequisite for smart city development by integrating disparate literature into a single analytical framework. This study makes a theoretical contribution by integrating digital governance, inclusive smart city concepts, and skills gap theory into a logical conceptual model.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of CodeCombat-based interactive learning media on students’ learning motivation in Informatics subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Panji. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 72 students, divided into an experimental class of 36 students and a control class of 36 students. The experimental class was taught using CodeCombat, while the control class received conventional instruction. Data were collected using a 20-item Likert-scale learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS through normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the pretest scores of the experimental and control classes were not significantly different, with a significance value of 0.53 > 0.05. However, the posttest results showed a significant difference between the two classes, with p<0.001. The experimental class obtained a higher posttest mean score of 87.86 compared to the control class, which obtained 73.69. The N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.6316, categorized as moderate or fairly effective, while the control class obtained 0.1867, categorized as low. These findings indicate that CodeCombat-based interactive learning media has a significant positive effect on improving students’ learning motivation in Informatics subjects.
