Abstract

Halal tourism, a concept rooted in Islamic economics, holds significant potential within the global economic cycle. In Indonesia, the largest Islamic country, the prospects for the development of halal tourism are particularly promising. Vocational education is identified as a pivotal element in the efforts to cultivate the halal industry in Indonesia, playing a crucial role in this development. The research methodology employed for this study was based on library research. The stages encompassed selecting research topics, determining focal points, collecting literature reviews, preparing data presentations, and compiling the final report. A total of 12 articles published between 2010 and 2022 were analyzed, sourced from Google Scholar and Harzing via Publish or Perish, using keywords such as "peran pendidikan vokasi," ( the role of vocational education) "peran pendidikan vokasi dan pariwisata," (the role of vocational education and tourism) and "pengembangan pariwisata halal di Indonesia."(development of halal tourism in Indonesia). The study's findings emphasize the significant role played by vocational education in the development of halal tourism in Indonesia. Vocational education, with its focus on equipping graduates with both soft and hard skills, work experience, and entrepreneurial capabilities, emerges as a crucial factor in this context. In conclusion, this study underscores the vital contribution of vocational education to the growth of halal tourism in Indonesia. It not only fosters interest in halal tourism among graduates but also ensures their preparedness for roles in the field. Moreover, vocational education facilitates connections with halal tourism jobs, ultimately contributing to the expansion of the pool of skilled professionals in the halal tourism sector within Indonesia.

Abstract

The research aims to develop adaptive electronic modules using Moodle-based blended learning as a solution to improve representation skills in the school environment. This research combines online and face-to-face learning methods (blended learning) with the use of Moodle as a digital learning platform. Three forms of representation in the concept of physics, are (1) verbal representation; (2) visual representation; and (3) mathematical representation. The formulation of the problem in this research is the characteristics, validity, and effectiveness of the E-module. This module aims to provide learning content that is tailored to the needs and abilities of each individual student. Adaptive features allow students to access materials, assignments, and learning resources appropriate to their skills level. Learning is done through a combination of classroom teaching and e-modules through Moodle. E-module development model uses the research and development method. The research design used is a true experimental design in the form of a "Posttest-Only Control Design". Assessment includes data collection through surveys, observation, and evaluation of learning outcomes. The purpose of the evaluation is to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of using adaptive e-modules with Moodle based on blended learning to improve students' representation skills at school. The research results showed that the E-module assessment by experts obtained a content percentage and eligibility criteria of 91.7% (feasible). To determine the level of effectiveness through the t test and comparison of posttest results. This is evidenced by the test using SPSS version 23 which shows a significance value of 0.00 <0.05. In visual representation, a percentage of 87.5% was obtained in a very good category, for mathematical representation, a percentage also was obtained in a very good category, 88.5%, and in verbal representation, a percentage was obtained in a category of 90%, as the greatest. With an average post-test score of 88.8 for the experimental of the class and 74.2 for the control of the class. Adaptive e-modules through Moodle-based blended learning can be an effective choice for increasing representational abilities and facilitating personalized and flexible learning. The results of this study are expected to encourage the development of adaptive learning systems in schools and support the improvement of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Increasing the competence of vocational education teachers is an urgent need. This will ensure that vocational education can provide maximum benefits for students and align with the dynamics of the ever-evolving world of work. Data was collected using systematic literature method. The results of the study show that the urgency of the vocational competence of teachers in the era of society era 5.0 is very important and studies are needed to improve it. Overall, the urgency of improving teacher vocational competence in the current era is closely related to preparing students to contribute to the changing world of work and improving the quality of vocational education as a whole. By increasing the qualifications and knowledge of teachers in the vocational field, we can ensure that the education provided matches the demands of the labor market and produces students who are ready for the future. Some of the skills that teachers must have in this era include digital skills, adaptive skills, critical and creative thinking skills, multicultural skills, skills in implementing Teaching Factory in the learning process, collaboration and emotional social skills. Society Era 5.0 provides significant benefits for the realm of vocational education. In this era, digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) can be used in the vocational learning process. Technology-based learning systems enable more interactive and realistic practical experiences, through simulation and virtualization. This shows that more efforts are being made to develop vocational teacher competencies, especially for vocational education concept competencies.
