Abstract

This essay tries to critically evaluate a way of thinking developed among Salafi leader dan PKS as a movement of Islamic revivalism which related to the implementation of Islamic law (syari’ah) into the Indonesian democracy context. There are a number of critical notes was discovered from literary researches and interviews with several leader of the movement. Firstly, basicly both PKS and Salafi leader longing for the implementation of Islamic law in the Indonesian democracy context. Despite the fact that PKS tend to act disparagingly toward democracy, while Salafi clearly repudiate democracy system, however, both of this group agree to “manipulate” this system to strugle for the embodiment of Islamic law with different strategies and substance. Secondly, PKS enters this system while trying to “objectify” Islamic values through preaching dan politics (structurally and culturally). In the same vein, Salafi manipulates democracy to strenghthen their ideological basis and their Islamic puritans awareness through preaching. Regarding politics, Salafi tends to be “pasive”.  Lastly, there are indications that the idea of the Islamic law implementation among PKS leader has dynamically changed following the politics dynamics. This often percieved as an inconsistency by the society. Meanwhile, the idea and efforts to implement Islamic law among Salafi leader is limited to the area of family rule and rarely about public rules. The result of this critical evaluation upon the implementation of Islamic law done by PKS and Salafi leaders, up to this point, have not provide a viable  recomendation as an ideal model of strengthening democracy system and implementing Islamic law in Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper tries to diagnose the vision of Islamic Cosmopolitanism toward the circle of Young Intellectual Muhammadiyah Network (JIMM). Through the perspective of social diagnose of the tradition of Mannhemian sociology of knowledge, it finds that JIMM has their own intellectual stand amongst some humanity discourses and ideas such pluralism, multiculturalism, bhinneka nationalism and cosmopolitanism. Elaborations among these discourses and ideas are played in order to serve the sense of social justice and humanity, as well as human dignity in the world. These elaborations are dakwah efforts that want to be a winner in the midst of global civilization constellation. However, in these attitudes, JIMM has foundation of thought which is interpreted into three ways, are: progressive Islam, social liberation, and historical activism. In dealing with very different context of Muslim societies in the contemporary time, Islamic Cosmopolitanism of JIMM attempts to fulfill their mission through the agenda of internationalization Islam berkemajuan and Indonesian Islam.

Abstract

Kedudukan politik islam yang mengalami kemerosotan tajam menjelang berakhirnya abad pertengahan dan memasuki abad modern membuat kalangan modernis Muslim di negara-negara Islam berkesimpulan bahwa hal itu disebabkan oleh sistem pemerintahan monarkhi absolut yang mengakibatkan rakyat statis dan tidak lagi kreatif seperti masa-masa sebelumnya. Hal itu diperparah lagi oleh imperialisme Barat. Tulisan ini mencoba menjelaskan bagaimana upaya pemikir modern Islam memperkenalkan ide-ide demokrasi ke dunia Islam sebagai alternative atas kemacetan yang melanda dunia Islam.

Abstract

Ketika kebanyakan masyarakat orang sedang mengandaikan sebuah tatanan dunia baru yang demokratis, damai, dan bermoral, maka tindakan kekerasan menjadi sesuatu yang dianggap primitif, bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip masyarakat beradab . tetapi kini realitas menunjukan sebaliknya, kekerasan menjadi bersifat fenomenal, pembunuhan, pembantaian, penyiksaan,pembakaran, pengrusakan, pemaksaan dan pelecehan hak nyaris menjadi pola massa dalam menyelesaikan masalah-masalah sosial yang diperkirakan sulit diselesaikan melalui jalur keadaban sperti hukum dan dialog.

Abstract

This study proposed to understand the strategy of character building from the perspective of Imam al-Haddad. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The research data were collected using documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis. The results showed that the strategy of character building according to Imam al-Haddad can be classified into two parts, namely: First, character building through spiritual improvement, which includes strengthening belief and faith in Allah SWT, improving intention before committing an act, fostering an introspective attitude, hold fast to the Qur'an and al-Sunnah, cleanse the mind of despicable traits, carry out religious obligations, and do sunnah deeds and their manners. Second, character building through good habits, which include managing and filling time with positive activities, cleaning the body, practicing daily etiquette according to the teachings of the prophet Muhammad SAW, being wira'i, speaking well, getting along with good people, love for Allah, amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, being fair, easy to forgive, devoted to parents, establish friendship, and respect and imitate teachers. The strategy of character building according to Imam al-Haddad's perspective strengthens the theory of strategy of character building according to Imam al-Ghazali's perspective.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) untuk memahami model pembelajaran Al-Qur’an bagi anak disleksia di  SD IT Abata Lombok; (2) untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan anak disleksia dalam mempelajari Al-Qur’an di SD IT Abata Lombok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sedangkan jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SD IT Abata Lombok dengan alamat di Kota Mataram–NTB. Informan dalam penelitian adalah kepala. Adapun subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru Al-Qur’an, orang tua dan siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian yaitu dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) penerapan model pembelajaran Al-Qur’an bagi anak disleksia dengan menggunakan pendekatan direct metode, repeatation dan kasih sayang yang tulus. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan yaitu Metode UMMI dan media yang digunakan dengan flash card serta sistem evaluasi terdiri dari evaluasi harian, kenaikan jilid dan evaluasi akhir. Dengan demikian ada peningkatan pemahaman anak disleksia SD IT Abata dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur’an; (2) kemampuan anak disleksia dalam mempelajari Al-Qur’an di SD IT Abata Lombok sudah mencapai jilid I dan jilid IV. Sedangkan dalam hafalan Al-Qur’an anak disleksia di SD IT Abata sudah mencapai juz 30.Abstract:  The purpose of this study is (1) to understand the qur'anic learning model for dyslexic children in Abata Lombok IT Elementary School; (2) to describe the ability of dyslexic children in learning the Qur'an at Abata Lombok IT Elementary School. Research methods are used with qualitative approaches. While the type of research is descriptive research. The research site was conducted at Abata Lombok IT Elementary School with an address in Mataram–NTB City. The informant in the study is the head. The subject of the study consists of Qur'anic teachers, parents and students. Data collection in research is by observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis used is data reduction, presentation of data and withdrawal of conclusions. The results of the study are (1) the application of the Qur'anic learning model for dyslexic children using a direct method approach, repeatation and sincere affection. The learning method used is the UMMI method and the media used with flash cards and evaluation systems consisting of daily evaluation, volume increase and final evaluation. Thus there is an increase in the understanding of dyslexic children of Abata IT Elementary School in the learning of the Qur'an; (2) The ability of dyslexic children in learning the Qur'an at SD IT Abata Lombok has reached volume I and volume IV. While in memorization of the Qur'an the dyslexic child in SD IT Abata has reached juz 30.

Abstract

Panti asuhan merupakan suatu lembaga usaha kesejahteraan sosial pada anak terlantar dengan melaksanakan penyantunan dan pengentasan anak terlantar, memberikan pelayanan pengganti orang tua/wali anak dalam memenuhi kebutuhan fisik, mental dan sosial kepada anak asuh sehingga memperoleh kesempatan yang luas, tepat dan memadai bagi pengembangan kepribadiannya dan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan sebagai bagian dari generasi penerus cita-cita bangsa. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran secarah utuh tentang: mendekripsikan pengembangan entrepreneurship berbasis experiential learning dan mendeskripsikan bentuk kemandirian santri di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Karangpilang Surabaya. Hasil penelitian ini diantaranya: Pertama, pengembangan entrepreneurship berbasis experiential learning di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Karangpilang Surabaya, Pembelajaran yang berbasis pada pengalaman langsung kegiatannya di muali dari pra pengolahan, pengolahan, dan packing dalam membuat pupuk, aneka bahan kimia berupa sabun cuci, sabun cairan pembersi lantai, tiner termasuk juga budidaya ikan. Kedua, kemandirian santri Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Karangpilang Surabaya sebagai berikut: 1) mandiri dalam kebutuhan biologis, seperti: masak, makan, mencuci pakaian; 2) mandiri dalam membagi waktu seperti membersikan kamar, waktu belajar, waktu istirahat; 3) mandiri dalam mengatur keuangan sendiri seperti belanja; 4) mandiri memecahkan masalah pribadi seperti mengatur komunikasi yang baik antar sesama; dan 5) mandiri dalam melakukan usaha dan membuka lapangan kerja sendiri.

Abstract

Konsep pendidikan karakter lahir dan menjadi rekomendasi dalam menjawab fenomena perilaku demoralisasi. Sehingga, pengembangan konsep pendidikan karakter yang sesuai dengan karakteristik kedaerahan menjadi penting untuk diteliti. Dayah sebagai sebuah lembaga pendidikan Islam tertua di Aceh dan secara stories of success telah membuktikan pembentukan karakter bagi anak-anak. Jadi, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pola pembentukan karakter bagi masyarakat Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi menjadi metode dalam pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pembentukan karakter anak menggunakan pendekatan komprehensif yang dilakukan melalui pembelajaran intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Strategi pembentukan karakter mengedepankan tahapan penjiwaan moral (spiritual) dibandingkan tahapan pengetahuan moral, tindakan dan perasaan moral dalam konsep pendidikan karakter bagi anak di dayah.
