Abstract

The background to this research is the lack of maximum critical thinking skills of students in science learning in elementary schools. This research aims to analyze the increase in students' critical thinking skills and learning effectiveness after using the multiliteracy learning model. The method used is quasi-experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research used a sample of 36 grade 5 students at SDN 254 Griya Bumi Antapani as an experimental class using a simple random sampling technique. The data collected to answer the research questions came from the pre-test and post-test which were carried out twice each at the 1st and 2nd meetings between the control class and the experimental class. The tests carried out are in the form of essay questions that have been validated by experts and are used to measure student learning outcomes that lead to critical thinking. Meanwhile, non-tests in the form of observations are useful for observing the effectiveness of student learning during the learning process. The treatment given is a multiliteracy learning model for the experimental class with adjusted syntax. Meanwhile, the control class uses a conventional model (lecture method). The results of this research show that the application of the multiliteracy learning model in science lessons after being tested using the t-test significance test shows that there are significant differences in 5 aspects of critical thinking for elementary school students as evidenced by the data from the control and experimental classes at meeting 1 which received an average score - 4.180 and at meeting 2 they got an average score of -6.814. This shows that the multiliteracy learning model is effective and significant in improving students' critical thinking skills in achieving success in the learning process and student learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to determine differences in the effectiveness of realistic mathematic education (RME) and problem posing (PP) approach viewed from the ability to solve fraction story questions for grade IV students. The sampling technique is carried out by: simple random sampling. The population is all grade IV students of SDIT Annur, Central Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, academic year of 2023/2024. This type of research is a quasi-experiment which uses 2 randomly selected sample classes namely the experimental class with the RME learning approach and the control class with the PP approach. The instruments used in collecting data in this research are an observation sheet and tests. Data collection is carried out by means of observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative descriptive. The research results show that the paired t-test value in the intervention group showed P-value = 0.000, meaning that the RME approach increases the ability to solve fraction story problems. T-test 2 free sample P-value = 0.000, with mean in the intervention group 90.7500 and the control group 72.0000. Thus, the RME approach is more effective than PP in improving the ability to solve fraction story problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the functions of educational institutions, especially Islamic education, both formal, informal and non-formal. This research uses literature study research. Data is collected through literature studies that are in line with the discussion. The results of this study indicate that the purpose of Islamic education is to create people who are aware of their God. Islamic education can be pursued in three ways in accordance with Law No. 20 of 2003 on the National Education System, namely; (1) Formal ways such as, MI, MTs, MA, and Islamic Universities, (2) Non-formal ways such as, Book Reading Training Institutions, TPQ, TPA, and so on, (3) Informal ways such as, Family Education and Community Education. It is not enough to develop the world of education through formal channels alone, but these three channels must work together to develop the world of education. One of the reasons for this is the increasing number of young people who are unable to continue their education. Employment, especially in the private sector, has developed quite rapidly and more than the development of the public sector

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of student satisfaction with the implementation of digital information systems through websites and Instagram at Senior High School 2 Berau and identify factors that contribute to student satisfaction or dissatisfaction. The method used was a quantitative survey with questionnaires distributed to 103 students from classes X and XI as respondents. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively to provide an overview of the students' level of satisfaction, as well as identify specific aspects that influence their perception of the school's information system. The findings showed that most respondents were satisfied with the information services provided by the school through the digital platform, with satisfaction levels reaching more than 98% in various aspects such as ease of access, flexibility of use, visual design, and responsiveness of social media admins. This indicates that the implemented digital information system has successfully met the needs of students in terms of accessing information that is fast, accurate, and easy to understand. The theoretical implications of this study support the literature that emphasizes the importance of technology integration in education to increase students' satisfaction and connectedness with school. Practically, the findings provide insights for other schools in optimizing the use of digital platforms as a means of communication and information delivery. However, this study has limitations in terms of respondent coverage which only includes one school, so further research with a wider coverage is needed to obtain more generalizable results.
