Abstract

Research on the Buddy Reading Method Assisted by Flipbook Media on the Interest and Reading Comprehension Ability of Class V Students at SD Gugus III Paraikatte District. Bajeng Kab, Gowa, Masters Program, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar Supervised by Sulfasyah and Tarman. This research aims to determine the effect of Buddy Reading helping with flipbook media on the interest and reading comprehension abilities of fifth grade students. This research uses a quasi-experimental design involving an experimental class and a control class. The research population was all fifth graders who were members of an elementary school group in the same zone in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The research sample was two fifth grade students selected randomly from the group mentioned above. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaires and reading comprehension tests. Descriptive data analysis shows that there is an increase in students' interest and reading comprehension abilities after teaching reading comprehension using the Buddy Reading Method. The results of inferential statistical analysis using Manova showed that there were differences between the control and treatment classes regarding reading interest and reading comprehension ability, with mark scores. 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the buddy reading method influences the reading interest and reading comprehension abilities of fifth grade students in this study.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing reading materials based on local Assamaturu wisdom from Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province with the help of the Heyzine Flipbooks application. Specifically, the research objective is to develop a prototype of reading material based on local Assamaturu wisdom using the Heyzine Flipbooks application and test the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the reading material developed. The development model used in this research is the 4-D development model (four D models). The stages of the 4-D model include defining, designing, developing and disseminating. Validity analysis was carried out by two expert experts. The validation results show that the research instrument is declared valid with a recapitulation value of 3.7. Furthermore, the results of the practicality analysis which came from questionnaire responses from teachers and students showed that reading materials based on local Assamaturu wisdom assisted by the Heyzine Flipbooks application were declared very practical with a presentation score of 92%. Effectiveness analysis based on reading comprehension test results shows that the average student score is 87 with a completeness presentation of 90%. This value is in the very good category. Thus, it can be concluded that reading materials developed based on local Assamaturu wisdom with the help of the Heyzine Flipbooks application can be used to improve the reading comprehension skills of class IV students in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of guitar training on character building and its contribution to improving students' creativity at Paranada Music House. This study is a qualitative study, using several approaches, namely sociology with Robert Hinkle's Action Theory to analyze social dynamics and interactions during training sessions, and Arthur Combs' Humanistic Theory to analyze the intrinsic meaning and personal significance of training for students. These theories become the scalpel in this study. The results show that structured guitar training at Paranada Music House significantly contributes to character development and increased creativity in students. The sociological approach reveals how group interactions and relationships between instructors and students create a supportive learning environment, while the humanistic perspective highlights the personal growth and self-actualization experienced by students. In conclusion, guitar training at Paranada Music House not only improves musical skills but also plays a vital role in the holistic development of students, preparing them for future creative endeavors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang masih konvensionan pada pelajaran IPS . Hal ini dikarenakan masih banyak ditemui pembelajaran yan masih berpusat pada guru sehingga siswa kurang dilatih untuk berani berpendapat, bertanya dan juga mengambil keputusan. Dengan demikian penulis ingin berupaya meingkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa dengan melakukan penelitian menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe decision making berbantu media vidio pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif jenis kuasi eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adah siswa kelas V SDN 243 Cicabe dengan kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VD sebagai kelas kontrol dengan masing masing kelas berjmlah 25 siswa. Pada kelas eksperimen pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran decision making berbantu media vidio dan pada kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu soal tes pilihan ganda dan angket berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran decision making berbantu media vidio terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa. Melalui hasil uji perbedaan rerata pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen dengan taraf signifikansi (2-tailed) 0.000 atau 0.000 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe decision making terhadap berpikir kritis siswa dan signifikansi (2-tailed) 0.000 atau 0.023 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe decision making terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: 1) Analyze the influence of learning styles on the learning outcomes of PAI students in the class of 2022 at the tarbiyah and teacher training faculty at UIN Alauddin Makassar, 2) Analyze the influence of critical thinking on the learning outcomes of PAI students in the class of 2022 at the tarbiyah and teacher t[]aining faculty at UIN Alauddin Makassar, 3) Analyze the influence of learning styles and critical thinking on the learning outcomes of PAI students in the class of 2022, tarbiyah and teacher training faculty at UIN Alauddin Makassar. This research method uses quantitative, this type of research is ex post facto and uses a pedagogical approach. The sample in this research was PAI students class of 2022 who were obtained using a sampling technique, namely the saturated sampling technique. The number of samples in the 2022 PAI class is 56 students. To collect data using learning style questionnaire instruments and critical thinking questionnaires. Research data was analyzed using descriptive data analysis and multiple linear regression analysis or using the t test and f test. The results of descriptive analysis on the visual learning style variable obtained an average value of 51.61, which means the medium category and critical thinking obtained an average value of 42.21, which means the medium category while learning outcomes obtained an average value of 3.78, which means the medium category. Based on the results of data analysis, the coefficient table shows that visual learning style influences learning outcomes with a sig of 0.001. Critical thinking influences learning outcomes with a sig value of 0.001. In the multiple regression test, the ANOVA results found that visual learning style and critical thinking both had an influence on learning outcomes with a value below 0.005, namely 0.001. The implication of this research is that existing stakeholders can improve students' critical thinking and pay attention to dominant learning styles so that they can improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran differensiasi berbasis STEM untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada perguruan tinggi. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan meta-analysis. Sampel penelitian berasal dari 12 jurnal nasional dan internasional terbitan 2022-2024 terindeks SINTA, Web of Science dan Scopus. Kriteria inklusi adalah penelitian harus relevan; penelitian diperoleh dari database Mendeley, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar dan ERIC, Penelitian harus metode eksperimen; penelitian memiliki data yang lengkap untuk menghitung nilai effect size serta ukuran sampel > 25 mahasiswa. Analisis data adalah analisis statistik kuantitatif dengan bantuan sofware JSAP. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran differensiasi berbasis STEM memnerikan dampak positif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada perguruan tinggi dengan nilai Hedge’s (d)= 1.07dengan kategori effect size tinggi. Temuan menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran differensiasi efektif untuk diterap pada mahasiswa diperguruan untuk mendorong kemampuan berpikir kritisnya dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The urgency of this research is the need to improve the literacy skills of early childhood which are increasingly decreasing, because literacy is very important for children, namely as a means of developing language and communication. Furthermore, literacy allows children to access and understand knowledge from various sources. The development of children's literacy skills should develop along with the times, this encourages the use of technology as an open material to improve the literacy skills of early childhood. Teachers as educators play an important role in the technology-integrated learning process. Teachers must have competence in integrating technology in the learning process. Therefore, researchers provide a solution to all teachers by developing 3D Digital-based teaching materials with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The aim of this research is to increase children's literacy interest. The method in this research uses a four-D plan, in this plan there are four stages, namely: (1). Defining stage, (2). Design Stage (3). Developing stage (4). Socialization stage. The research results obtained with technology will make learning more optimal and creative so that it can stimulate the development of power, creativity and language.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that students‘ problem solving skills are still lacking, marked by students’ difficulty in analysing problems in depth before trying to solve them, due to the lack of opportunities for students to solve problems regularly and resulting in students not having sufficient skills. The purpose of the study was to analyse the application of the Problem Based Learning model to students' problem solving skills in vocational schools. The type of research is experimental research. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Hiliserangkai. The research population was all students of class XI-BKP SMK Negeri 1 Hiliserangkai in the 2023/2024 academic year consisting of 2 classes. This study used a randomised pretest posttest experiment control group design. The research instrument was a problem solving ability test in the form of a description test. Before being determined as a research instrument, the test was validated to the building engineering vocational teacher and tested at SMK Negeri 1 Botomuzoi for the purpose of testing the feasibility of the test. Research results: 1) The average result of students' problem solving ability using the Problem Based Learning learning model is 77.83 classified as good; 2) The average result of students' problem solving ability using the conventional model is 68.25 classified as sufficient; 3) The results of hypothesis testing obtained tcount = 2.23 and ttable = 2.001. Because thitung does not lie in the interval - ttabel ≤ t ≤ ttabel. So the hypothesis that reads: ‘there is a significant effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students‘ problem solving skills on the material of the stages of foundation work implementation at SMK Negeri 1 Hiliserangkai.’ accepted at the 95% confidence level or 5% significant level (α=0.05). Researchers suggest that teachers should apply the Problem Based Learning model in learning, especially to present vocational material such as the stages of foundation work implementation.
