Abstract

The curriculum plays a vital role in every level of education. This research specifically focuses on examining and understanding the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning at an elementary school. Adopting a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved the principal and fourth-grade teachers as key informants. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate the success of the elementary school in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, making it a "sekolah penggerak" (driving school). One of the curriculum's innovations is the integration of Science (IPA) and Social Studies (IPS) into IPAS, with a per-semester learning format that combines two chapters of IPA and two chapters of IPS to prevent student boredom. This curriculum provides significant flexibility for both teachers and students in the learning process, with IPA and IPS assessments now integrated as IPAS in report cards.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the basic skills of teachers in implementing integrated thematic learning methods, especially in natural science (IPA) learning content at SD Negeri 2 Mojomulyo in class 3. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection through in-depth interviews with the class teacher as the main resource, documentation and literature study. The research results show that teachers apply various approaches, such as lectures, discussions, audio-visual media, and simple teaching aids to support students' understanding. Teachers also face various challenges, including students' unstable character and students' lack of courage in conveying understanding independently. Under these conditions, teachers continue to strive to evaluate students' overall understanding through oral tests and direct observation. This research recommends strengthening teacher soft skills professional training in the use of creative learning media and adaptive evaluation strategies to increase the effectiveness of integrated thematic learning at the elementary school level, especially in science learning content.

Abstract

Abstract: In the era of globalization in the 21st century, mastering relevant and adaptive competencies is key to increasing human resource competitiveness. Therefore, utilizing teaching materials integrated with technology is crucial to facilitate effective and efficient learning processes. However, the lack of innovation and creativity in integrating technology into teaching materials can hinder the achievement of learning objectives and expected competencies, so efforts need to be made to improve the quality and relevance of teaching materials used. This study examines the process of technology-based science learning in elementary schools using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, which poses a challenge for teachers in implementing technology-based learning processes. This study aims to identify the needs for opportunities to develop teaching materials integrated with technology, with the hope of increasing students' opportunities to improve their abilities, both literacy and active practice. This study was conducted qualitatively using interview and needs analysis data collection techniques. The results of this study show that teachers use various teaching materials provided by the school to support learning. The results of this study also show that teachers have a positive opinion about the development of technology in learning. Through this research, it is expected to become new knowledge and consideration for teachers in developing and implementing technology-based teaching materials to support student learning processes.

Abstract

The Canva application as an alternative interactive mathematics learning tool. The numerous studies on the use of the Canva application in mathematics learning require analysis of the research results. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the results of previous studies on trends and research focuses regarding the use of the Canva application as a mathematics learning tool for elementary school students and visualize them. This research sample was obtained from the Google Scholar database of 392 published articles that had gone through the data collection process, namely identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The results show that the publication trend from 2021-2025 has increased significantly. The citation trend in 2023 is a very influential citation in this study compared to other studies. This citation trend can also be seen from the number of citations of 1,580 citations, h-index 19 and g-index 34. The focus of this research is divided into seven, namely learning; applications; teachers and classes; elementary schools; mathematics learning media, and students; mathematics; Canva and mathematics learning; and grade IV elementary school and development. New themes and novelties regarding this research have been discussed in the discussion and can be used as an alternative for further research.

Abstract

The implementation of the independent curriculum in schools currently integrates various technologies, one of which is the content of science lessons at Plumbungan 2 Elementary School Class 4. The use of technology has its own advantages and disadvantages, not only involving teachers at school, but parents are also involved in facilitating their children's needs to support the learning process. The aim of the article is to provide an overview of the use of technology in science learning in elementary schools with an independent curriculum. The methods used are observation, literature study and documentation. The results of this observation show that the use of technology in learning at SDN Plumbungan 2 Class 4, especially in science and science learning content with an independent curriculum, provides benefits in increasing student motivation and understanding of learning. On the other hand, the lack of technology and the need to increase teacher capabilities in technology are challenges in implementation. Thus, school stakeholders must be strengthened to increase the professionalism and competence of teachers at SDN Plumbungan 2 Sragen.

Abstract

Pendidikan di sekolah dasar (SD) di Indonesia saat ini sedang mengalami. perubahan besar yang di pengaruhi oleh kemajuan teknologi. Perubahan pendidikan ini berfokus untuk meningkatan kualitas pembelajaran agar lebih mendalam dan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman, yang melalui penerapan kurikulum merdeka dengan pendekatan deep learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kurikulum merdeka dan deep learning sebagai inovasi pembelajaran IPAS di SDN Blimbing 3. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif, dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi bersama guru serta siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum merdeka dengan pendekatan deep learning sudah diterapkan dalam pembelajaran yang melalui model Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Project-Based Learning (PJBL), dan pembelajaran inkuiri dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Namun, demikian penelitian ini masih menghadapi tantangan seperti kesiapan guru yang bervariasi, keterbatasan sumber belajar, dan kebutuhan pelatihan guru yang berkelanjutan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum merdeka dan pendekatan deep learning di sekolah dasar masih memerlukan dukungan berkelanjutan untuk mengoptimalkan implementasinya agar siswa bisa belajar dengan nyaman, aktif, dan kreatif.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in the Pancasila Education subject through the implementation of the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) in Grade III of SD Muhammadiyah Kulur during the 2025/2026 academic year. The research employed a classroom action research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 20 third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, learning achievement tests, and documentation. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the average learning scores from the pre-cycle to the second cycle, as well as an increase in the percentage of students achieving mastery learning. Teacher and student activity also showed positive progress, indicating more interactive and engaging learning. Thus, the TGT model proved effective in enhancing learning outcomes in Pancasila Education and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kendala yang dialami guru dalam penerapan pembelajaran STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan skala likert dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada guru sekolah dasar. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket tertutup yang memuat indikator terkait kendala perencanaan pembelajaran STEAM, kendala kompleksitas integrasi STEAM, kendala pelaksanaan manajemen waktu pembelajaran STEAM, kendala sumber daya serta sarana prasarana, dan kendala dukungan pihak luar. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa persentase untuk menggambarkan kecenderungan kendala yang dialami guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala utama terletak pada kendala perencanaan pembelajaran STEAM Kendala Kompleksitas Integrasi STEAM, kendala pelaksanaan manajemen waktu pembelajaran STEAM, kendala sumber daya serta sarana prasarana, dan kendala dukungan pihak luar juga menjadi faktor penghambat. Pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa kendala tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya implementasi pembelajaran inovatif di kelas. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru, penyediaan sarana yang memadai, serta dukungan dari pihak sekolah dan pemerintah dalam mengembangkan ekosistem pembelajaran berbasis STEAM di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ learning independence attitudes in elementary school. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach and was conducted at SD Negeri Pengabean 02, Brebes Regency. The research subjects consisted of 21 fifth-grade students in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected using a learning independence questionnaire based on a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25, which included item validity testing, reliability testing, and descriptive analysis. The results of the validity test showed that all 10 questionnaire items were valid, while the reliability test yielded a coefficient value of 0.803, which exceeded the minimum alpha value (α = 0.50), indicating that the instrument was reliable. The descriptive analysis results revealed that students’ learning independence, measured through the indicators of initiative, self-confidence, and responsibility, achieved an average score of 3.13, categorized as “Good.” Therefore, the learning independence instrument is appropriate for use in the learning process to support and enhance students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

Pembelajaran mendalam melalui pendekatan STEAM (Sains, Teknologi, Rekayasa, Seni, dan Matematika) adalah strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang menekankan integrasi lintas disiplin, berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan pemecahan masalah dunia nyata. Meskipun pendekatan ini berpotensi mengembangkan kompetensi abad ke-21, penerapannya di sekolah masih menghadapi tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis hambatan yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran mendalam berbasis pendekatan STEAM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan skala likert dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada guru sekolah dasar dan analisis dokumen yang melibatkan guru sekolah dasar. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa hambatan utama meliputi: (1) pemahaman guru yang terbatas tentang konsep STEAM, desain proyek, dan penilaian autentik; (2) fasilitas pembelajaran yang kurang memadai, seperti laboratorium, perangkat teknologi, dan bahan ajar; (3) waktu pembelajaran yang terbatas, sehingga pelaksanaan proyek tidak lengkap; (4) kurangnya program pengembangan profesional dan pembimbingan; serta (5) rendahnya motivasi siswa dan literasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Tantangan-tantangan ini menghambat integrasi antar bidang dan menghalangi pengembangan kreativitas, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, dan kolaborasi siswa. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan STEAM yang berhasil memerlukan perencanaan yang sistematis, fasilitas yang memadai, peningkatan kompetensi guru, dan dukungan kurikulum melalui kolaborasi antar bidang. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi sekolah dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merancang program pembelajaran berbasis STEAM yang efektif dan berkelanjutan.
