Abstract

Environmentally conscious education is an educational approach that emphasizes understanding and awareness of the natural and social environment. This includes an understanding of environmental problems, efforts to maintain and protect the environment, as well as ways to create sustainability in the environment. Environmental education aims to form individuals who are aware of the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. In the context of formal education, environmentally friendly education can be integrated into the curriculum at all levels, from elementary school to university. Environmentally friendly education can also be implemented informally, such as through environmental activities outside of school or through environmental campaigns involving the community. The main aim of environmentally friendly education is to create a society that is aware of the importance of protecting the environment for human welfare and the survival of life on earth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of online learning on student discipline in attending lectures at the Information Systems Study Program, State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach with 86 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an online questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed descriptively through frequency, percentage, and mean scores. The results indicate that online learning has a positive impact on students’ learning discipline, with an overall mean score of 3.75 categorized as high. The highest discipline aspect was punctuality in submitting assignments, while the lowest was maintaining attention during online classes. These findings suggest that online learning fosters students’ self-discipline and responsibility when supported by effective instructional design and adequate technological infrastructure. However, improving students’ concentration and engagement remains necessary. Therefore, lecturers are encouraged to implement interactive and feedback-oriented strategies to enhance students’ learning discipline in online environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of social media use on student learning productivity. The research subjects consisted of 60 respondents who were active students in the 5th semester of the Information Systems Study Program at UIN Sumatera Utara. The method used was simple linear regression analysis with the independent variable being the intensity of social media use and the dependent variable being learning productivity. The results of the study show that the regression equation obtained is (Y = - 0.0013X + 5.0687) with a coefficient of determination value (R^2 = 0.0022). This value indicates that the influence of social media on learning productivity is only 0.22%, while the remaining 99.78% is influenced by other factors such as motivation, discipline, and learning environment. The negative direction of the relationship indicates that the higher the use of social media, the more learning productivity tends to decline, although the effect is not significant. Thus, it can be concluded that social media does not have a significant effect on student learning productivity, but it can be a positive tool if used appropriately to support academic activities

Abstract

This study aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness among secondary school students through an educational program focused on the prevention of hoaxes and cyberbullying. The initiative was implemented in response to the growing exposure of adolescents to misinformation, online harassment, and privacy risks in digital environments. Using a participatory approach, the program involved 50 students from two secondary schools who participated in workshops, simulations, and interactive discussions. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test questionnaires, observations, and semi-structured interviews to assess knowledge, attitudes, and behavioral changes. The results revealed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of online safety concepts, including critical evaluation of digital information, ethical communication, and privacy management. Statistical analysis using a paired sample t-test (p < 0.05) indicated an increase in cybersecurity literacy after the intervention. Qualitative findings supported this, showing enhanced awareness, empathy, and responsibility in digital interactions. Overall, the program successfully empowered students to identify and respond effectively to hoaxes and cyberbullying, fostering a safer and more ethical online culture among youth. These findings highlight the importance of continuous cybersecurity education in schools as a strategic effort to build digital resilience and promote responsible digital citizenship.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance students’ creativity through the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in Indonesian language learning at SMAN 11 Maros. The activity, conducted on October 30, 2025, involved 35 students and was organized in the form of a seminar and discussion on the application of project-based approaches in writing short stories themed around local wisdom. Using descriptive qualitative methods, the program focused on introducing PBL concepts, stages, and benefits for developing creative writing skills. The findings indicated significant improvement in students’ active participation, creative thinking, and writing quality. Students were able to integrate elements of local culture, such as traditions and folklore, into original literary works. Moreover, the project encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and self-confidence. In conclusion, project-based learning serves as a relevant pedagogical strategy to strengthen literacy, creativity, and cultural identity among Indonesian students

Abstract

This study aimed to improve housewives’ knowledge of healthy lifestyles and stunting prevention through a balanced nutrition education program in Desa Pokurumba. Stunting remains a major health problem caused by poor nutrition and unhealthy habits. The program involved 25 housewives selected purposively and implemented through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations using LCD projectors, food pyramid models, and anthropometric measurements. Data were collected before and after the activity using questionnaires and physical measurements, then analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of balanced nutrition, healthy living, and child growth monitoring. Mothers became more aware of the importance of nutritious food and active lifestyles in preventing stunting. In conclusion, balanced nutrition education effectively enhanced mothers’ awareness and behavior toward healthy living, serving as a practical effort in reducing the risk of stunting in rural communities.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the physical activity and fundamental motor skills of early childhood students through a training program that integrates basic movement exercises with educational games at PAUD “Asmi Abdillah.” The program was implemented using a participatory approach involving 30 children aged 4–6 years over four weeks of structured sessions. Data were collected through observation sheets, pretest and posttest performance assessments, and interviews with teachers. Quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test revealed a significant improvement in children’s motor skills, including running, jumping, and throwing (p < 0.05). The mean score increased from 63.2 in the pretest to 81.3 in the posttest, indicating substantial progress in movement coordination and physical engagement. Qualitative findings from teacher interviews supported these results, highlighting increased enthusiasm, confidence, and social participation among children. Teachers also reported that the activities encouraged creative teaching strategies and improved classroom dynamics. Overall, this training program proved effective in promoting physical literacy, social interaction, and emotional development in early childhood education. The integration of playful, movement-based learning can serve as an innovative model for fostering healthy, active, and confident young learners.

Abstract

This community service project aimed to enhance digital entrepreneurship skills among culinary MSME actors in Tangerang Regency through Digital Marketing training. Employing a participatory action research approach, 30 participants were purposively selected from active culinary business owners. The training combined workshops, practical sessions, and mentoring on social media management, content creation, and online branding. Data were collected via observations, pre- and post-tests, and in-depth interviews. Quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics and paired t-test indicated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding and application of digital marketing (p < 0.05). Qualitative findings showed increased confidence in using digital tools, producing creative content, and promoting products online. Overall, the program effectively improved digital literacy and marketing competence, empowering MSMEs to adopt a digital mindset, expand their market reach, and enhance business competitiveness in the digital economy.

Abstract

This community service project aims to increase household waste management awareness through the implementation of a Digital Waste Bank program. The initiative was developed to address the growing issue of improper waste disposal and low public participation in environmental sustainability. The program integrated digital technology with community-based education to encourage waste sorting, recycling, and saving practices. Using a participatory action approach, the activity involved 30 household participants selected based on their active involvement in community waste management initiatives. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews before and after the program. Quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-tests showed significant improvements in participants’ waste management knowledge and behavior. Qualitative results revealed positive changes in household habits, with participants becoming more disciplined in waste sorting and recognizing the economic value of recyclable materials. Overall, the Digital Waste Bank program effectively enhanced environmental awareness, digital literacy, and community empowerment, contributing to the development of a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle.

Abstract

This study analyzes and models the business processes of UMKM Kaffah Parfume using the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) method. The analyzed processes include ordering, raw material procurement, and product delivery. Business process modeling was carried out to represent operational activities and identify inefficiencies affecting organizational performance. Simulation using Bizagi Modeler indicates several areas requiring improvement, particularly in raw material stock management, delivery coordination, and order documentation. The proposed process improvements are expected to enhance operational efficiency and reduce delivery time, thereby supporting better customer satisfaction and overall business management.
