Abstract

This article examines human resource management (HRM) strategies that support teacher retention in educational institutions during the digital era. The study highlights key aspects such as structured career development, performance-based incentives, transformational leadership, and inclusive organizational culture as major contributors to teacher loyalty and job satisfaction. To explore these issues, a literature review method was employed, analyzing relevant empirical and conceptual studies from the past decade. The analysis was conducted through a thematic synthesis approach, focusing on recurring patterns and challenges in HRM practices. Findings indicate that digital tools such as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and collaborative platforms play a pivotal role in enhancing engagement and streamlining administrative processes. Nonetheless, implementation remains constrained by infrastructure limitations, budgetary issues, digital literacy gaps, and the absence of comprehensive retention policies. This review concludes that adaptive, data-driven, and collaborative HRM strategies are essential to building a supportive educational environment and ensuring sustainable teacher retention in the face of digital transformation.

Abstract

This research discusses the use of recycled materials as learning media in developing children's musical abilities at Mamminasae Kindergarten, located in Bulu-bulu Village, Tonra Subdistrict, Bone Regency. The objectives of this study are: (1) to identify the use of recycled material-based learning media at Mamminasae Kindergarten, and (2) to examine how this media contributes to the development of children's musical abilities. To obtain the data, the researcher employed a qualitative research method with descriptive analysis. The data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research findings at Mamminasae Kindergarten, the study concludes that the use of recycled material-based learning media follows several stages. In the planning stage, teachers are required to design learning activities that align with the students’ needs. In the implementation stage, teachers explain to the children how to create learning media using recycled materials. In the final stage, teachers evaluate the media created by the students. The use of recycled material-based learning media at Mamminasae Kindergarten has proven to support the development of children's musical abilities. This is evident from the children’s progress; before using recycled materials as musical instruments, the children were hesitant and unable to recognize musical notes properly. Even singing posed significant difficulty. However, after the implementation of recycled material-based media, the children began to demonstrate noticeable improvements in their musical skills.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Internship Program (Praktik Kerja Lapangan/PKL) at SMK Negeri 7 Bone and its contribution to developing students’ work character and job readiness, highlighting the importance of integrating education and industry in vocational education. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis involving school leaders, vocational teachers, and industry partners. The findings reveal five main themes: collaborative and structured planning, implementation based on synchronized learning outcomes and industry curriculum, active mentoring and supervision, continuous monitoring and evaluation with constructive feedback, and the positive impact of PKL on students’ work ethic, soft skills, and employability. The study shows that the partnership between the school and industry is not merely formal but institutionalized through official MoUs, intensive communication, and tangible employment opportunities for students. In conclusion, a systematically managed PKL effectively bridges the gap between theory and practice, strengthens the link and match policy in vocational education, and underscores the role of local actors in policy implementation. The results have theoretical implications for reinforcing actor-based approaches, practical implications for improving PKL management and mentoring systems, and policy implications for promoting adaptive, participatory, and outcome-oriented vocational education. Future studies are recommended to explore the long-term impact of PKL on students’ transition to the labor market and to compare different PKL models across vocational schools.

Abstract

This article is the result of a literature research that aims to describe the function of the family in applying parenting to child development through a review of the Qur'an and developmental psychology. The results of the study show that the family plays a central role in shaping the character and development of children. In the perspective of the Qur'an, children are a mandate as well as a test that must be nurtured with responsibility, covering worldly and spiritual aspects. The values of monotheism, morals, and faith are the main basis for building a strong personality. Meanwhile, developmental psychology emphasizes the family as the first environment that influences a child's physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and moral growth. Balanced parenting through affection, discipline, and open communication supports the optimization of children's potential. The harmony of the Qur'an and psychology shows the importance of integrating Islamic values and developmental science in the success of parenting.

Abstract

This study seeks to understand how the Freedom of Learning Program is being used to make education better at SMPN 2 Watampone. Data was gathered through interviews, documents, and research papers, using a method that describes qualities rather than numbers. The study found that putting Freedom of Learning into practice involves key steps like finding students' skills and interests to help them grow, using projects to teach in ways that boost creativity and self-reliance, using digital tools even with limited resources, and making extracurriculars stronger to help students build character and skills. Also, when teachers and students work together to plan what is taught, students get more involved and feel more responsible for their learning. However, there are issues like not having enough equipment, some students not caring about extracurriculars, and some people not wanting to change how they learn. The study suggests it is important to improve facilities, keep training teachers, and better convince students and parents to get more involved. In general, the Freedom of Learning Program is helping to improve education, but it still needs improvements and changes to fit the school's specific needs.

Abstract

This study looks at how reward and punishment policies help improve student behavior at SMP Islam Asshiddiq Bone. Good behavior plays a big role in how teaching and learning happens, and using rewards and punishments is meant to help students take responsibility for following school rules. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through interviews, observations, and document reviews. The findings show that rewards like the “Best of Student” program and merit stars work well in encouraging students to behave properly. Punishments are given step by step, starting with warnings and then involving parents, and they are designed to teach students instead of using physical punishment. The policies are checked regularly through weekly meetings and daily discussions among teachers. This method has been effective, as seen by fewer rule-breaking incidents and more understanding from students about the effects of their actions. Issues like differences in characters between teachers and students are handled through close teamwork and individual attention. In the end, the success of the reward and punishment system depends a lot on how consistently it is used and the support from teachers, counselors, parents, and the whole school community.
