Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan peran serta belajar siswa dan meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PKn. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus, setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan observasi-evaluasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X-1 MAN Popongan Kabupaten Klaten di Prambanan tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 19 siswa. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua jenis data yaitu kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif yang berupa hasil tes kognitif siswa dianalisis dengan deskriptif kuantitatif, sedangkan data kualitatif berupa hasil observasi terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa dianalisis dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode CTL dapat meningkatkan peran serta belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PKn, hal itu terlihat pada siklus I, skor peran serta belajar siswa sebesar 53,17, pada siklus II sebesar 78,86. Peningkatan peran serta siswa ternyata berdampak positif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, pada siklus I, rata-rata hasil tes kognitif sebesar 66,05; pada siklus II sebesar 72,85

Abstract

This study was aimed at applying Majeda based on Dolanan Anak as a means of optimizingkindergarteners’ growth and development. This study was conducted in small- and large-scaletryouts. The study employed the research and development approach. The small-scale piloting wasconducted at TK/SD Model Sleman and TK PKK Temanggal, Sleman while the large-scale tryoutwas conducted at TKN Pembina Wonosari, TK ABA Kauman Yogyakarta, TKN Pembina Galur,TKN 1 Sleman, and TK ABA Karangmojo XVII. The results show that the model format needs tobe revised into new Majeda that consist of six components. The guideline needs to be revised intofour sections. Based on the results of the piloting, it can be concluded that Majeda based on DolananAnak is appropriate for further operational testing

Abstract

ANALISIS MOTIVASI INTRINSIK DAN EKSTRINSIK MAHASISWA CALON GURU FISIKAAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi belajar, meliputi motivasi intrinsik dan motivasi ekstrinsik mahasiswa calon guru fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan wawancara dan angket yang sudah tervalidasi dan reliabel yaitu Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire. Sampel penelitian adalah 150 mahasiswa yang tersebar dari semester dua, empat, dan semester enam Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Universitas Jember, dengan Indeks Prestasi (IP) rata-rata 3,12 (SD=0,285). Data yang sudah diperoleh kemudian diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar mahasiswa pendidikan fisika sangat bervariasi dan didominasi oleh motivasi belajar instrinsik dibandingkan motivasi ekstrinsik. Pada motivasi instrinsik kebutuhan akan prestasi yang dimiliki mahasiswa pendidikan fisika lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kriteria motivasi intrinsik lain. Pada motivasi ekstrinsik peran otoritas dari orang tua dan dosen merupakan faktor yang mendominasi motivasi ekstrinsik belajar mahasiswa. Dominannya motivasi instrinsik ini menunjukkan adanya kesadaran dari diri mahasiswa mengenai pentingnya belajar.Kata Kunci: motivasi intrinsik, motivasi ekstrinsik, mahasiswa calon guru fisikaAbstractThis study was aimed at analyzing the intrinsic and extrinsic learning motivation of physics- teacher student candidates. The study used the quantitative method. The data were collected using interviews and a questionnaire that had been validated and wasreliable, namely Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). The research sample consisted of 150 college students of Physics Education Study Program of University of Jember of semesters two, four, and six with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.12 (SD = 0.285). The data were analyzed quantitatively. The results show that intrinsic motivation is more dominant than extrinsic motivation in the learning processes of physics teacher candidates. In intrinsic motivation, the need for achievement of physics education students is higher than that of others intrinsic motivation criteria. In extrinsic motivation, the role of parents and lecturers is a factor that dominates the learning processes. The dominance of this intrinsic motivation indicates the awareness of the students toward the importance of learning.Keywords: intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, physics teacher candidate

Abstract

The study was aimed atfinding out (1) the category of the student s attitude of the teacher profession in FISE UNY; (2) the effect of the family sphere and the peer toward the student s perception of the teacher profession; and (3) the effect of thefamily sphere, thepeer, and the student s perception of the teacher profession toward the student s attitudes of the teacher profession. The population of the study consisted of the students of the Education Department/Study Program in FISE UNY to the total of 2.472 students. A total of 309 students was sampled as the  research subjects using the proportional cluster random sampling technique for selection. The data were collected by way of the questionnaire, and analyzed by the path analysis technique. The study found out that (1) most of the students in FISE  UNY had favourable attitudes towards the teacher profession; (2) the family sphere and the peer had a positive direct effect towards the perception of the teacher profession; and (3) thefamily sphere, the peer, and the perception of the teacherprofession had apositive direct effect towards attitudes of the teacherprofession

Abstract

This study was aimed at developing module material for Guidance and Counseling teachers to increase the psychological preparedness of senior high school students in facing natural disasters. Using the research and development approach, the researcher involved 48 Guidance and Counseling teachers in the special region of Yogyakarta as research participants for needs assessment purposes. The modules were tried out to Guidance and Counseling teachers of senior high schools in the special region of Yogyakarta, involving 6 people at the initial field, 15 people at the main field, and 65 people at the operational field. Instruments applied to collect data were either opened or closed questionnaires. The collected data, the quantitative as well as the qualitative ones, were analyzed descriptively. Results obtained from this study are: (1) Material required by Guidance and Counseling teachers for module of psychological preparedness in facing natural disaster cover cognitive aspects ( 14,58%), affective aspects ( 31,25%) and psychomotoric aspects ( 52,08%); (2) The module of "Personal-Sosial Guidance for increasing Psychological Preparedness of Students in Facing Natural Disasters" cover three activities of personal-sosial services, each to face natural disasters of (a) earthquake, (b) mount eruption, and (c) tropical cyclone; and (3) The module validated is valued proper either in appearance or in concept, and is also useful as media for assisting to perform service of personal-sosial guidance to increase psychological preparedness of senior high school students in facing natural disaster. Further, the module is valued as self-contained for having fulfilled acceptance criterion (subjects reaching 80% of minimum understanding) at the test of content understanding and module readability.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to disclosure the influence of using entry seleition  (NEM) ii  'physiial  'is'to  program based on the original government examination score iuitor  cindttion  high school (SLTP), abstract reasoningability, and for  senior high school SMU) students. The method used compute thi relationship of the entry selection program toward student achievement in Mathematics  and English. The model of the research is a case study at the SMU Tamansiswa Bandung involving a data analysis  ut d  1o,  for  the whole population of 454 students. The analysis technique this research is Product Moment Analysis and Linear Regression Analysis. From the data oulysis result it was concluded that entry seleition program has a positive and very significant effect  achievembnt. Generally speaking it can be concluded that the entry selection  program  for  for  the student fuIU which consist of NEM SLTP, abstract reasoning'ability, and pttysical condition is very  selection system ofthe new students.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe ways to improve methods of finding new materials existing in the environment for handicraft creation using the inquiry approach. The study was class action research involving 36 students in the third semester of PGSD UNNES. Data were collected by using observation, field notes, documentation, and interviews. The data were analyzed descriptively using the indicators that had been determined. The success level of the action included the level of students ability shown by results in material sources digging, creativity of making and creation, and learning process. Findings showed that, in the third cycle of the research, students ability of digging new material sources and their learning activity reached the good criteria level. Suggestions were given that the lecturer team (1) maximalize collaboration in identifying problems and deciding the alternative solutions and 2) use innovative learning activities to increase the quality of learning interaction.

Abstract

This study was aimed at finding out the results of the Education Decentralization Program implemented by the Government through the Decentralized Basic Education Project (DBEP). DBEP was a primary education decentralization project utilizing a loan fund from Asian Development Bank (ADB) and APBN/APBD aimed at increasing access and education quality for the poor society. The study took place at Jembrana Regency, in Bali Province, which had biggest count of poor population. Results showed that there was education quality improvement before and after the implementation of the education decentralization program. Based on mean difference statistical test, it could be concluded that there was significant difference in It was concluded that the primary education decentralization program had given a significant influence on the improvement of education quality in Jembrana Regency

Abstract

HUBUNGAN KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK, PROFESIONAL, SOSIAL, DAN KEPRIBADIAN PADA GURU SEKOLAH NONFORMAL XAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi guru (kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi profesional, kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi kepribadian) serta melihat hubungan antarkompetensi pada guru-guru sekolah nonformal X. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sekolah nonformal yang berfokus pada pendidikan seni yang juga membutuhkan kompetensi guru yang berkualitas seperti pada pendidikan formal. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed methods dengan instrumen kuesioner, panduan observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, mayoritas guru memiliki kompetensi cukup, namun masih ada yang memiliki kompetensi kurang sehingga menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi guru masih bervariasi. Pada uji korelasi menunjukkan setiap kompetensi memiliki korelasi signifikan dengan kompetensi lainnya. Artinya, setiap kompetensi tidak berdiri sendiri, namun saling melengkapi untuk menghasilkan kompetensi yang berkualitas secara utuh. Kedua, kompetensi pedagogik memiliki korelasi signifikan dengan kompetensi profesional, kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi kepribadian. Kompetensi profesional juga memiliki korelasi signifikan dengan kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi kepribadian, serta kompetensi sosial yang juga memiliki korelasi signifikan dengan kompetensi kepribadianAbstractThis study was aimed at determining teachers’ pedagogic, professional, social, and personality competences and competency inter-relation of the teachers in the non-formal school X. This study was conducted in non-formal schools that focused on art education that required teachers’ qualified competences as in formal education. The study used the mixed methods with questionnaire instruments, observation, and interview guides. The results show that the majority of the teachers have sufficient competence, and the others have insufficient competence. It shows that the competences of the teachers are still varied. The correlation test results show that each competency has a significant correlation with other competencies. That is, each competency does not stand alone, but complement each other to produce a quality competence intact. The results show that pedagogic competence has a significant correlation with professional, social, and personality competences. Professional competence has a significant correlation with social and personality competences, as well as social competence also has a significant correlation with personality competence
