Abstract

This community service research aims to strengthen religious education in Kampung Samin, Margomulyo Village, Bojonegoro Regency, through assistance in developing teaching materials at the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ). It uses a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach.  The program involves 17 TPQ teachers with heterogeneous educational backgrounds and students aged 7–12 years. The results show a significant transformation: the learning method shifted from traditional bandongan to age-based classical learning, teachers were able to develop contextual modules covering basic fiqh, tajwid, and Arabic writing, and students showed increased motivation and active participation. CBPR also encouraged collaboration among teachers, strengthened pedagogical capacity, and fostered a sense of ownership of the products produced. In addition to producing teaching media, this program shifted the understanding of Islam in the Samin community from a mere formal identity to a more substantive internalization of values among the younger generation

Abstract

Information media is widely used in daily activities, including social media, marketplaces, promotions, banners, flyers, pamphlets, and brochures. However, to effectively engage the community, the chosen media must feature well-designed, unique, and attractive visuals that motivate action. Tropodo Village has an official website but lacks the human resources to utilize it for promoting local products through the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the "Bumi Asih" Village-Owned Enterprise (Bumdes). To address this issue, this empowerment program employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method. The results demonstrated success in creating copywriting and Canva-based content, with 80% of participants gaining an understanding of how to design appealing content that attracts consumers. This initiative has contributed to enhancing the creative economy within the Tropodo Village community.

Abstract

This community service program aims to increase environmental awareness and food independence in elementary school students through agricultural education based on hydroponic mini gardens with the integration of Islamic Education values. This study uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving 33 grade V students of SDN 03 Tonjong, teachers, and the school community in four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Activities include hydroponic training, construction of mini gardens, planting vegetables (kale and pakcoy), and integration with science subjects. The program successfully increases students' enthusiasm and understanding of sustainable agriculture. Students are actively involved in the process of planting to maintaining plants, and teachers integrate these activities into science learning as an ongoing practice. The PAR approach with hydroponic mini gardens is effective in building environmental awareness and food independence in elementary school children, while instilling Islamic values about ecological responsibility as a caliph on earth.

Abstract

This community service activity focuses on the lack of understanding of spiritual values among Indonesian migrant children in Malaysia, despite their demonstrated interest in traditional arts. The objective of the activity is to instill spiritual awareness through a local cultural approach, specifically the shadow puppet play Dewa Ruci, which is steeped in Sufism (takhalli, tahalli, tajalli) and symbolizes human duality. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with five stages: to know, to understand, to plan, to act, and to change. The activity was carried out at the Sungai Mulia 5 Guidance Center (SBSM 5) in Gombak. The results showed an increased interest in culture, understanding of spiritual values, and deeper self-reflection. Shadow puppetry has proven to be an effective educational medium in non-formal education, supporting the sustainable development of character, spiritual awareness, and cultural identity in migrant children.
