Abstract

This study examines the effects of educational elements, namely entrepreneurship material, teaching methods, and the learning environment, on entrepreneurial intention through entrepreneurship education in the higher education context. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 104 respondents in higher education institutions. The analysis was conducted to evaluate both the direct effects of entrepreneurship material, teaching methods, and learning environment on entrepreneurship education and the indirect effects on entrepreneurial intention through entrepreneurship education. The findings indicate that relevant entrepreneurship material, interactive teaching methods, and a supportive learning environment significantly enhance entrepreneurship education. Furthermore, entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention and serves as an important mediating mechanism in explaining how educational elements shape entrepreneurial intention. These results suggest that entrepreneurial intention is more likely to develop when entrepreneurship learning is supported by practice-oriented content, participatory instruction, and conducive academic settings. This study highlights the importance of strengthening curriculum quality, instructional strategies, and institutional support to improve the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education in fostering entrepreneurial intention.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of entrepreneurship education, family environment, and peer influence on entrepreneurial readiness through entrepreneurial motivation in the context of higher education. The study was motivated by the growing importance of entrepreneurial readiness as an alternative pathway to address employment challenges and promote self-employment among graduates. A quantitative approach with a descriptive explanatory design was employed to analyze the relationships among variables. Data were collected from 100 respondents through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis to test both direct and indirect effects. The findings indicate that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial motivation, which subsequently contributes significantly to entrepreneurial readiness. In contrast, family environment and peer influence do not show significant direct effects on entrepreneurial readiness through entrepreneurial motivation. These results suggest that formal entrepreneurship learning plays a more decisive role in shaping motivation and readiness for entrepreneurship than external social environments. The study highlights the need to strengthen entrepreneurship-oriented learning through practical content, motivational support, and applied business experiences that can improve students’ readiness to engage in entrepreneurial activities. The findings also imply that entrepreneurship education should not only focus on theoretical understanding but also emphasize business management, marketing capability, and decision-making skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence and entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial interest through entrepreneurial motivation in the higher education context. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey design. The population consisted of 546 students, from which 107 respondents were selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling to assess the direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings show that emotional intelligence and entrepreneurship education have a significant effect on entrepreneurial motivation. Entrepreneurial motivation also plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial interest. These results indicate that strengthening students’ emotional intelligence and improving the quality of entrepreneurship education can enhance entrepreneurial interest, particularly when supported by strong entrepreneurial motivation. The study provides practical implications for the development of entrepreneurship curricula and educational programs that are capable of fostering a more entrepreneurial mindset among students in higher education.

Abstract

This study examines the direct and indirect effects of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial skills on entrepreneurial motivation through self-efficacy in the higher education context. The study was motivated by the importance of entrepreneurship development as a strategic response to employment challenges and the need to encourage students to become job creators. A quantitative descriptive explanatory approach was employed to analyze the relationships among the variables. The population consisted of 600 students, and 102 respondents were selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed to assess the direct and indirect relationships between entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial skills, self-efficacy, and entrepreneurial motivation. The findings indicate that entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial skills have significant effects on self-efficacy and entrepreneurial motivation. Self-efficacy also has a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial motivation and plays an important mediating role in explaining how entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial skills strengthen students’ entrepreneurial motivation. These results suggest that entrepreneurship learning should not only emphasize conceptual understanding but also develop practical skills and confidence in managing, marketing, evaluating, and sustaining business activities. The study highlights the importance of strengthening entrepreneurship-oriented education to foster stronger entrepreneurial motivation among students.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of social media use intensity and the quality of content received on self-confidence and its contribution to entrepreneurial intention in the higher education context. A quantitative research design was employed using a survey method, with a questionnaire distributed to 93 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. The study focuses on how social media exposure and the perceived quality of online content may shape students’ confidence in their ability to engage in entrepreneurial activities and develop entrepreneurial intention. The proposed model positions self-confidence as an important psychological factor that can strengthen the relationship between digital media exposure and entrepreneurial intention. The study is expected to provide insights for educators and academic institutions in designing learning support and digital literacy strategies that encourage students to use social media more productively for entrepreneurial development. It also emphasizes the importance of directing students not only toward understanding business concepts but also toward building confidence, initiative, and capability to start and sustain business activities.

Abstract

Unemployment remains a critical issue in Indonesia, largely due to the country's high population growth, which intensifies competition for employment opportunities. One effective approach to mitigate this problem is by fostering entrepreneurship and increasing the number of entrepreneurs. This study aims to examine both the direct and indirect effects of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial locus of control on entrepreneurial intention, with entrepreneurial attitude serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative descriptive explanatory approach was employed, involving a population of 492 students. Using proportional random sampling, 96 students from the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Negeri Makassar were selected as respondents. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial self-efficacy and locus of control significantly influence entrepreneurial intention, both directly and indirectly through entrepreneurial attitude. These results underscore the importance of developing psychological attributes to enhance students' entrepreneurial potential. The study provides valuable insights for educators in guiding students toward entrepreneurial skill development, encouraging them to go beyond product creation and focus on business management, marketing, and strategic decision-making. Future research is recommended to expand the scope of variables and explore more diverse methodologies to deepen the understanding of entrepreneurial behavior in higher education.
