Abstract

This study examines the effects of product innovation, digital marketing, and Muslim entrepreneurial behavior on the performance of Sharia-based MSMEs, with competitive advantage serving as a mediating variable within the Resource-Based View (RBV) framework. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using a census of 153 fashion-sector MSMEs. Data was collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that product innovation and Muslim entrepreneurial behavior have a positive and significant effect on MSME performance, while digital marketing does not show a significant direct effect. Competitive advantage positively influences performance but only mediates the relationship between Muslim entrepreneurial behavior and performance; it does not mediate the effects of product innovation and digital marketing. These findings suggest that Muslim entrepreneurial behavior functions as an intangible strategic resource that builds Sharia-based reputational capital and enhances firm performance. This study extends the RBV framework within the Islamic economics context by highlighting the strategic role of Islamic values in shaping MSME capabilities and performance.

Abstract

This study examines the role of informal entrepreneurship education in shaping SDG-oriented entrepreneurial intention, with entrepreneurial mindset as a mediating variable among students of the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Tadulako. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 90 respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that informal entrepreneurship education does not have a significant direct effect on SDG-oriented entrepreneurial intention. However, it has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial mindset, which in turn significantly influences SDG-oriented entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, the findings reveal that entrepreneurial mindset fully mediates the relationship between informal entrepreneurship education and SDG-oriented entrepreneurial intention. These results highlight that informal learning alone is insufficient to foster sustainable entrepreneurial intention unless it is transformed into a strong entrepreneurial mindset. This study contributes to the literature by emphasizing the critical role of entrepreneurial mindset as a key mechanism linking informal learning and sustainability-oriented entrepreneurial intention. The findings also provide practical implications for educators and policymakers in designing entrepreneurship programs that support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines the effect of Strategic Human Resource Management and Digital Marketing Capability on Generation Z Digital Startup Performance, with Entrepreneurial Orientation as a mediating variable. The research addresses the limited integration of organizational capability and entrepreneurial orientation perspectives in explaining startup performance. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with data from 200 founders and managers of digital startups in Indonesia. The results indicate that Strategic HRM and Digital Marketing Capability have positive and significant effects on both Entrepreneurial Orientation and startup performance. Entrepreneurial Orientation partially mediates these relationships. The structural model demonstrates strong explanatory power (R² = 0.62) and satisfactory goodness-of-fit indicators. The findings suggest that organizational capabilities must be activated through entrepreneurial orientation to generate superior performance. This study contributes to the development of an integrative capability-based framework within the context of Generation Z digital startups and provides strategic implications for integrated HR and digital marketing management.

Abstract

Unemployment remains a major challenge in Indonesia, primarily due to the country’s high population growth rate, which intensifies competition in the job market. One effective strategy to address this issue is by increasing the number of entrepreneurs. This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effects of entrepreneurship training, motivation, and entrepreneurial environment on students’ entrepreneurial intention, with entrepreneurship education serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach with a descriptive explanatory design was employed, involving a population of 492 students. A sample of 103 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Makassar, was selected using proportional random sampling. Data analysis reveals that entrepreneurship training, motivation, and the entrepreneurial environment significantly influence entrepreneurial intention both directly and indirectly through entrepreneurship education. The findings highlight the importance of structured entrepreneurial education as a pathway to strengthen students' business skills and intentions. These insights can serve as valuable input for educators in guiding students not only in product development but also in marketing, business evaluation, and strategic growth. Future research is encouraged to expand the scope by incorporating additional variables and diverse methodological approaches.

These results suggest that entrepreneurship education programs should emphasize not only product development but also marketing, decision-making, and business evaluation skills. The study provides valuable insights for educators to better guide students in enhancing their entrepreneurial capabilities. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurship education on student motivation through self-efficacy, as well as the impact of financial autonomy on student motivation with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Makassar, involving students participating in entrepreneurship education programs. A quantitative approach was employed using a descriptive-explanatory research design. Data was collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 96 randomly selected respondents, and analyzed using path analysis techniques. The findings reveal that entrepreneurship education has a significant and positive influence on student motivation, mediated by self-efficacy. This indicates that quality entrepreneurship education enhances students’ self-confidence, which in turn boosts their motivation to succeed academically and entrepreneurially. Furthermore, financial autonomy also shows a positive effect on student motivation through the enhancement of self-efficacy, suggesting that students with greater financial independence tend to exhibit higher self-belief and stronger motivation to achieve both academic and entrepreneurial goals. These results highlight the essential role of self-efficacy as a bridge connecting educational and financial support to student motivation in higher education contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of academic learning and student organizational involvement on self-growth and character development among first-year students of the Entrepreneurship Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Makassar. Conducted through a comprehensive quantitative approach, the research involved a total of 142 new students, with 67 selected as respondents using probability sampling to ensure accurate population representation. Data were systematically collected using a structured questionnaire. The study adopts a modern entrepreneurship theoretical framework that integrates character development, academic learning, and student organizational dynamics. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between academic learning and self-growth in shaping entrepreneurial character. Academic learning emerged as the dominant factor contributing to the development of students' entrepreneurial traits. These results emphasize the importance of integrative strategies that align academic curricula, student activities, and personal development programs to foster competitive and adaptive entrepreneurial character. Theoretically, the study contributes to the advancement of sustainable entrepreneurship education by uncovering the complex mechanisms of character formation in higher education. Practically, the findings offer valuable insights for universities in designing effective curricula, mentorship programs, and talent development strategies tailored to entrepreneurship students. This research highlights the need for a multidimensional approach to character building that continuously addresses academic, organizational, and personal growth aspects.
