Abstract

General Background: Civic Education plays a strategic role in developing students’ religious values and social attitudes at the elementary level. Specific Background: However, the learning process often relies on conventional methods, making abstract values difficult for students in the concrete operational stage to understand and internalize. Knowledge Gap: There is limited focus on how Problem Based Learning integrated with audiovisual media supports the internalization of both religious and social values beyond cognitive outcomes. Aims: This study aims to analyze the implementation of video-assisted Problem Based Learning in Civics Education for fostering religious values and social attitudes among third-grade students at MI Darul Ulum Jotosanur. Results: The findings indicate that video-based Problem Based Learning increases student engagement, critical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to relate values to real-life contexts, although challenges arise from teacher readiness, student ability differences, time limitations, and environmental support. Novelty: The study highlights the integration of Problem Based Learning with audiovisual media to emphasize value internalization through real problem-solving experiences in elementary students. Implications: The study suggests that teachers design contextual Problem Based Learning supported by visual media and consistent reflection, along with collaboration between schools and parents, to support character formation in students. Highlights• Video-supported problem scenarios stimulate active participation and classroom interaction• Contextual tasks guide learners to connect moral concepts with daily behavior• Implementation constraints emerge from pedagogical readiness and learning conditions KeywordsCivic Education; Problem Based Learning; Religious Values; Social Attitudes; Video Media

Abstract

General Background: Investment plays a crucial role in regional economic growth through increased production capacity and job creation. Specific Background: In West Nusa Tenggara Province, investment realization remains uneven across districts despite strengthened corruption prevention efforts through the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP). Knowledge Gap: Previous studies provide inconsistent findings and rarely examine subnational contexts while incorporating structural factors such as agglomeration, human capital, and labor force participation. Aims: This study analyzes the relationship between corruption prevention and regional investment while controlling for agglomeration, human capital, and labor force participation. Results: Using balanced panel data of 10 districts/cities during 2019–2024 and panel regression analysis, the findings reveal that corruption prevention does not show a linear relationship with investment but exhibits a positive and significant nonlinear effect, indicating a threshold consistency pattern. Agglomeration, human capital, and labor force participation also show positive and significant relationships with investment. Novelty: This study introduces MCP as a proxy for corruption prevention at the district/city level and demonstrates a nonlinear threshold relationship between governance reform and investment. Implications: The findings highlight the importance of consistent institutional reform, improved licensing services, strengthened economic agglomeration, and workforce quality development to support sustainable regional investment. Highlights• Nonlinear pattern shows governance reform requires sustained consistency before investment growth appears• Economic concentration and workforce characteristics strengthen regional capital inflows• Threshold behavior confirms delayed investor response to institutional improvement KeywordsRegional Investment; Corruption Prevention; Agglomeration; Human Capital; Labor Force Participation

Abstract

General Background The food and beverage industry is experiencing rapid expansion, intensifying competition and necessitating a deeper understanding of consumer behavior in culinary markets. Specific Background This study examines how the marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion) and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) relate to purchase intention, purchase decision, repurchase, and customer loyalty within a single integrated framework. Knowledge Gap Prior studies present inconsistent findings and often analyze relationships partially, with limited attention to the sequential process from purchase intention to loyalty. Aims This research aims to analyze the simultaneous relationships among marketing mix variables and e-WOM toward consumer behavioral stages culminating in loyalty. Results The findings indicate that price, promotion, and e-WOM significantly and positively relate to purchase intention, while product and place do not show significant relationships. Purchase intention significantly relates to purchase decisions, which subsequently relate to repurchase behavior and ultimately to customer loyalty. Novelty This study proposes an integrated structural model linking marketing mix and e-WOM to a full behavioral pathway from intention to loyalty using Structural Equation Modeling. Implications The results highlight the central role of pricing strategy, promotional activities, and online reviews in shaping consumer behavior and sustaining long-term loyalty in the culinary sector. Highlights: Significant drivers of purchase intention originate from pricing, promotional activities, and online reviews. Consumer behavior progresses sequentially from intention to decision, then repeat transactions and retention. Product attributes and distribution aspects show limited contribution within the modeled relationships. Keywords: Consumer Behavior, E-WOM, Marketing Mix

Abstract

General Background: Bullying remains a recurring problem in educational settings, including early childhood education, where children are in a crucial stage of social and emotional development. Specific Background: Family plays a central part in preventing bullying, yet fathers’ roles are often overlooked because paternal involvement is frequently associated with economic responsibility rather than emotional caregiving. Knowledge Gap: Research on fathers’ psychological presence in shaping anti-bullying character in early childhood, particularly in early childhood education contexts, remains limited. Aims: This study examines the role of fathers’ psychological presence in forming anti-bullying character among young children at Assa’adah Kindergarten. Results: Using a qualitative case study, the findings show that fathers’ psychological presence appears through involvement in daily caregiving, warm communication, value transmission, and behavioral modeling. Anti-bullying character formation is reflected in children’s emotional control, empathy, self-confidence, assertive responses, and willingness to report harmful behavior without retaliation. Differences in paternal occupation shaped patterns of involvement, yet the quality of emotional engagement was more decisive than the amount of time spent together. Novelty: This study highlights fathers’ psychological presence as the central analytical focus and connects it directly with anti-bullying character formation in early childhood education. Implications: The findings support father-inclusive parenting programs and school-family collaboration as practical strategies for early bullying prevention. Highlights• Fathers’ psychological presence was reflected in caregiving, warm interaction, value transmission, and role modeling.• Anti-bullying character was shaped through emotional regulation, empathy, self-confidence, and safe reporting habits.• Emotional engagement mattered more than time quantity across different paternal occupational backgrounds. Abstract

General Background: Competition for talent requires organizations to strengthen their attractiveness as employers by aligning organizational attributes with candidate expectations. Specific Background: Final-year students represent a critical group transitioning into the labor market, evaluating employer branding, perceived career development, and work environment when forming job application intentions. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies show inconsistent findings and rarely integrate these three variables simultaneously, particularly within non-metropolitan higher education contexts. Aims: This study analyzes the relationships among employer branding, perceived career development, and work environment in shaping job application intentions among final-year students. Results: Using quantitative explanatory analysis of 194 responses, all instruments were valid and reliable (Cronbach’s alpha > 0.93), and the model explained 94.90% of variance. Simultaneously, all variables were significant; however, only perceived career development (β = 0.457; p = 0.001) and work environment (β = 0.505; p = 0.000) showed significant positive effects, while employer branding was not significant when tested alongside other variables. Novelty: This study introduces an integrated model emphasizing concrete organizational attributes over symbolic corporate image in explaining job application intentions. Implications: Findings indicate that students prioritize career growth opportunities and supportive work environments, suggesting organizations should design employer value propositions focused on career clarity and conducive workplace conditions rather than relying solely on employer branding. Highlights• Career growth perception becomes primary determinant of application decisions• Workplace conditions outperform symbolic organizational reputation signals• Integrated variables jointly explain very high behavioral variance KeywordsEmployer Branding; Career Development; Work Environment; Job Application Intention; Students
